The Growth of a Titan -
Chapter 335- You Both Stink
Chapter 335: Chapter 335- You Both Stink
Mar-Dule was the first one to snap out of his dazed state. His eyes shone with an unprecedentedly bright light as he keenly tried to scout out Sol’s current level.
However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t detect a single fluctuation from his body.
Mar-Dule’s eyes flickered before his body suddenly flashed and appeared in front of Sol.
His hand then shot out and he directed a palm strike towards Sol’s chest.
A screeching sound echoed out due to the power and speed of this palm.
Sol’s eyes flickered and a grin appeared on his face. He didn’t hesitate to send out a palm strike as well.
However, compared to Mar-Dule’s palm which seems to carry the strength to destroy a small mountain, Sol’s palm strike wasn’t accompanied by any grandiose power. It looked completely ordinary like a casual attack.
However... Bang!
A resounding sound echoed out when the two palms collided.
Terrifying wind gales swept out in all directions. It reached Yoon-Jae who was standing some meters away and it caused his hair to whip about uncontrollably.
The small towel around his waist was about to come loose but he quickly held onto it. But despite the terrifying winds, his gaze remained fixed on the outcome of the clash.
Mar-Dule was forced to retreat two steps back, meanwhile, Sol’s body shook unsteadily in place but quickly recovered.
When Mar-Dule saw this, his expression flickered incessantly. Soon he a forced smile and said.
"I used about sixty percent of my Fleshly Body strength in that attack, but you purposely used just enough strength to force me back. How strong are you exactly?"
Sol shrugged his shoulders and said with a smile.
"I honestly don’t know, not unless I battle someone."
Battle intent flickered in Mar-Dule’s eyes, but he soon smiled and shook his head.
"Have you at least broken through to the Spiritual Realm?"
A hesitant expression suddenly appeared on Sol’s face. He seemed to recall something, and he sighed before saying.
"Something like that."
When Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae heard that, they were a bit confused, but Sol didn’t seem like he wanted to explain.
’Even I can’t explain what exactly happened to me.’
Sol thought as he sighed internally once again.
During his breakthrough three months ago, something unexpected happened to him.
When one enters the Spiritual Realm, their Innate Dharama usually comes to reside inside the Mortal Palace.
Inside, it absorbs the Aether Energy between heaven and earth during cultivation and sent it towards the Spiritual Palace along the new golden pathway connecting the two.
However, after Sol completely opened his Mortal Palace and was just about to usher his Innate Dharma inside, his crescent moon Enigma suddenly erupted with power. It then left his mindscape and shoved his Innate Dharma out of the way before taking up residence inside his Mortal Palace instead.
Sol had was so shocked at the time he thought he was imagining things.
Of course, without prompting his seedling angrily started to send out Aether Energy to kick the intruder out, but his crescent moon Enigma sent out its own energy and took control of his Mortal Palace. Afterward it then closed the doors forcing his Innate Dharam to stay outside.
Sol had been sweating when he saw that and he thought he had somehow failed his ascension to the Spiritual Realm, however, he realized his Enigma’s actions did not affect his breakthrough.
At that moment when his cultivation had taken a completely different direction than what he read about, Sol decided to improvise and instead sent his Innate Dharma to reside in his Spiritual Palace.
Of course, there was another problem with that.
His Enigma had completely shut down the pathway leading from the Mortal Palace to his Spiritual Palace, meaning Sol could no longer gather Aether Energy inside his Mortal Palace and send it to his Energy Core.
But that was thinking too far ahead, he was in the middle of a breakthrough and needed to send Aether Energy throw that pathway to open his Spiritual Palace!
This was where Sol really began to panic.
He had to improvise once again, and instead of using the golden pathway to send Aether Energy to his Spiritual Palace to open it, he used his four hundred and sixty-two meridians.
He wasn’t sure if it would work, but when he tried it, it did. And thankfully he was able to successfully enter the Earth Expanse Spiritual Realm while allowing his Innate Dharma to settle in his Energy Core.
Overall, this outcome was somewhat of a blessing, as now his Innate Dharma was directly in his Energy Core. With his meridians connected to his Energy Core, Sol could circulate Aether Energy through his body faster than normal.
However, there was a drawback.
Normally when a Spiritual Realm cultivator cultivates, the Aether Energy would enter their pores then flow through their meridians and enter the Mortal Palace. There, the Aether Energy would have a stable pathway leading to the Spiritual Palace.
In simple terms, think of the Mortal Palace as a massive gate, while the Golden Pathway is a large road and the meridians smaller roads. The carriages, which are the streams of Aether Energy, move along the small roads before eventually converging in front of the gate, and traveling along the large road they reach the City or Spiritual Palace.
If there was ever a traffic jam on the smaller roads, the gate could close, blocking off access to the large road and protecting the city.
However, if one chooses not to use the gate and large road but instead allows the carriages to enter the city via the numerous smaller roads, it would be harder to manage the flow of traffic and who comes in or not.
What Sol did was extremely dangerous since if unwanted energy entered his body, he had little time before it reached his Energy Core and Innate Dharma.
Luckily, he was immune to poisons and the like.
’If I was a normal person and I went ahead and did this, not only would I be dooming myself to be poison to death in the future, but my cultivation speed would have been affected as well. But thankfully, I have sufficient meridians where my cultivation speed won’t decrease. I’ve also raised my Innate Dharma to the peak of the 7th Tier as well.’
As Sol thought this, he sighed for a third time.
However, his Immortal Cultivation wasn’t the only thing that became different. His bloodlines had also changed quite a bit. They were now separated.
But Sol figured it was fitting.
His Enigma was in his Mortal Palace, his Innate Dharma was inside his Spiritual Palace, and his Holy Crest was inside his mindscape.
Sol had a feeling the moment he opened his Heavenly Palace his Holy Crest would rush inside.
"I wonder what would happen afterward. My Enigma hasn’t done anything weird after entering my Mortal Palace, and I can activate Total Eclipse and Reverse Total Eclipse just fine."
As Sol muttered to himself, Mar-Dule suddenly brought him out of his thoughts by asking.
"Is your cultivation at the Sky Expanse Realm or higher?"
Sol looked at Mar-Dule and smiled bitterly.
"I’m not much of a genius like you, Brother Mar-Dule."
After saying that, Sol released fluctuations of a Sky Expanse Spiritual Realm cultivator. However, it was faint, and he quickly retracted it.
Mar-Dule’s eyes flickered before he raised his head to the sky and laughed out loud. Obviously, Sol’s words had invoked satisfaction within him.
Stepping forward, Mar-Dule pulled Sol into a bear hug, not caring about Sol’s current appearance. Afterward, Mar-Dule patted Sol on the shoulder and said.
"Don’t worry Sol, your cultivation speed might not be faster than mine, and your Rune Mastery might fall short as well, but if you work hard you might catch up to me in a few dozen or so years."
As Mar-Dule heavily patted Sol on the shoulder, Sol looked at him with a strange expression.
"Are you two finished? You both stink."
Yoon-Jae said before he shook his head and put some distance between himself and the two.
Sol glanced over at Yoon-Jae, but before he could say anything, Mar-Dule suddenly said.
"He’s right!"
He then pinched his nose and dragged Sol over to the pits releasing hot steam.
