Chapter 248: Chapter 248- Stay Here And Become My Punching Dummy
Creating a Runic Physique Technique, develop a Runic Circuit inside the body, and use Aether Energy to strengthen the body injunction with runes.
These were the basic steps of how someone from the Barbarian Race cultivates.
In some cases, someone would choose to carve several different Elemental Runes inside their body instead of just one type, so they could perform Martial Arts of different elements.
It was risky and could lead to an imbalance, so usually one would stick to Elemental Runes that match the Aether Energy they were suited with.
As for those from Jianghu and the Land of Shadows, they cultivated Aether Energy using their Innate Dharmas as well as refined their fleshly bodies.
Due to this one would assume that Aether Energy Cultivation is linked with how strong someone’s fleshly body would be. After all, as one opened their acupoints and widened their meridians, they would refine their bones one by one.
However, Sol knew that he was an anomaly in the cultivation world. His entire body was already refined once, thus making the strength of his fleshly body far surpassing his current Aether Energy cultivation.
With only having the acupoints in one and a half of his limbs opened, his physical strength was equal to someone who had opened all the acupoints in four of their limbs.
But this was just the start. After his battle with Elder Hyun-Joo, his physical strength increased a lot.
Now he had the physical strength of someone who not only has all of their acupoints open in four of their limbs, but their torso as well.
In other words, he had strength that was terrifyingly close to a Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivator.
And this was without taking off his second bracelet.
Sol had previously thought he was the only one in the cultivation world with this weird imbalance of their acupoints open compared to their physical strength, but now he knew he was wrong.
This girl was the same as him.
Well, that’s what he thought until he heard Abdu’s voice in his head.
’Brat, this girl has all of her acupoints opened.’
’What?!’
Sol was shocked.
’Brat, I suggest you make this girl your cultivation partner.’
’What?!’
Sol blushed, and he wanted to ask aloud where Abdu got the idea to do that. He couldn’t communicate with Abdu through Soul Energy so this was a one-way conversation.
However, Abdu must have read his mind as he explained.
’She was born with a bloodline close to that of the Giant Race, so much so I can faintly detect it. If you get her as your partner then you could have children worthy of your origins."
"That’s... I can’t do that, she’s my friend’s sister."
Sol mumbled, but Abdu said again.
’So? Don’t tell me you were planning on getting just any girl? Do you know how valuable your seed is?’
"M-My seed?"
’Yes, brat. If anyone ever found out your origins they would be shocked, but right after they would chain you down in a basement and have their precious daughter suck you dry for what you’re worth.’
Sol’s expression became weird when he heard that.
"What are you mumbling to yourself about?"
Mar-Yue lowered her leg and took a step back from Sol.
"Oh, ah... It’s nothing."
Sol scratched his cheek, feeling embarrassed.
Mar-Yue looked at Sol strangely and then said.
"You did well blocking my kick."
"Your kick wasn’t half bad."
Sol happened to speak at the same time, and the two paused to stare at each other.
"Well, I wasn’t using my full strength."
"Well, it wasn’t that hard to block."
They spoke together once again, but what Sol said kind of irked Mar-Yue.
"Oh? First, you think I’m not cute, and then you’re suggesting I’m weak?"
Mar-Yue suddenly had an angry grin spread across her face.
"Hey, how about you take one of my punches? We’ll see who’s stronger."
"Ah, wait."
Sol hurriedly waved his hands when he saw that Mar-Yue had become upset.
"When did I say you weren’t cute? You’re almost as beautiful as my mother!"
"Huh? Your mother?"
Mar-Yue’s expression became weird.
"Ah! No, wait, I meant that as a compliment! I, uh... can you just trade me your Deep Autumn Flower?"
Sol tried changing the topic abruptly.
"What? You want my Deep Autumn Flower?"
"Yes, can you trade it with me?"
Sol scratched his cheek, and Mar-Yue seeing this, thought to herself.
’How cute... I wonder how much pain he would be in if I punched him right now.’
Mar-Yue’s hand twitched, but she managed to stop herself. Instead of punching Sol square in the face, her eyes twinkle as she says.
"If you can resist one of my punches then I’ll think about giving you my Deep Autumn Flower."
"Okay!"
Sol immediately agreed.
’Little Zeel, just hold on for a few more days.’
Sol clenched his fists.
Mar-Yue didn’t notice this as she said.
"Let’s stand thirty meters apart, and remember you can only use your physical strength to block my attack."
"I... uh, sure."
Sol thought that sounded quite familiar.
"Great!"
Mar-Yue then turned around and almost skipped as she and Sol put thirty meters between them.
Everyone watched as this happened not uttering a word.
Mar-Dule had managed to get up somehow and wobbled over to Yoon-Jae.
He looked at Sol and then at his sister before he began cackling to himself.
Yoon-Jae turned to him and asked.
"What’s so funny?"
"Just watch, that old granny is going to get a taste of her own medicine."
"You knew this was going to happen?"
"Well, I initially wanted Sol to defeat her in Dan Tao Mo, but this is even better."
Yoon-Jae looked at Mar-Dule strangely when he saw how excited he was to see his sister lose.
’Something must really be wrong with his head.’
Yoon-Jae thought before he turned back to see Sol and Mar-Yue had stopped.
"Okay, are you ready?"
Mar-Yue asked and Sol nodded with a serious expression on his face.
Mar-Yue lifted her right hand and clenched her fist. The space around it immediately started to distort.
Mar-El who was by the side had her pupils dilated when she saw that phenomenon.
’Since when did she get so strong? Her cultivation speed was always fast, but this is just...’
Just before throwing out her punch, Mar-Yue smiled and said.
"Oh, and if I win you have to stay here and become my punching dummy."
"W-What? No, I can-"
Sol was about to refuse Mar-Yue’s side of the deal, but Mar-Yue smirked and suddenly punched forward.
BANG!
Her fist created a shockwave that blasted all the sand away.
All the youths in the surroundings flinched back and looked on in horror as the space distorted while Mar-Yue’s fist strike shot towards Sol.
Mar-Dule also had his mouth hung open in shock, while Yoon-Jae’s expression changed.
This fist strike was almost no different from a Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivator’s attack.
Having this terrifying attack bearing down on him, Sol’s protective robes flapped wildly while an intense heat batted his face from the attack; his hood fell off as well. Abdu opened his eyes and glanced at the attack, but then closed them and went back to sleep right after.
Sol’s expression was serious as he raised his fist and clenched it. The space around it distorted before he struck out at Mar-Yue’s attack.
Two identical fist strikes, in speed and strength, slammed into each other and created a loud explosion that made everyone feel like their eardrums were about to burst.
The intense winds blew the sand into the air and create another cloud mushroom; this time several times bigger then the one before.
