The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 198- A Golden Egg

Chapter 198: Chapter 198- A Golden Egg

Park Yong watched this brat stand up and greet him with a bow.

"Clan Leader Park, it’s an honor to meet you."

"Hm."

Park Yong nodded with a placid expression on his face.

Sol forced a smile upon seeing Park Yong’s reaction. However, Park Yong wasn’t overly concerned with what Sol thought of his attitude.

Park Yong sat down around the table before Sol tentatively sat down after a pause.

"Why do I have the pleasure of Junior Solovin meeting me?"

Park Yong immediately placed himself above Sol in the conversation. He then reached forward and poured some of the wine that was on the table.

Sol waved his hand and said.

"Clan Leader Park can just call me Sol."

"Hm."

Park Yong hummed as he took a sip of his wine from his cup.

Sol forced another smile and he touched his cream-filled hair before saying.

"Well, Clan Leader Park, I came here to sell some medicinal plants and herbs."

Park Yong almost sneered.

’So he wants to cash in on the inflated prices of the medicinal plants and herbs in the City.’

However, Park Yong immediately went on high alert.

’Wasn’t it said this brat entered the Alchemy Pavilion?’

Park Yong looked at Sol suspiciously but still said.

"How many medicinal plants are you selling and what Tier are they? We can talk about prices afterward."

Sol nodded, and he gulped down the entire cup of wine he had just poured for himself.

He was about to speak, but Sol suddenly licked his lips and turned to look at the jug of wine.

"Good wine!"

Sol immediately poured himself more wine and gulped it down.

Park Yong hid his disgusted expression behind his cup as he took another sip of wine.

After about the fourth cup in, Sol finally turned to Park Yong and said.

"Clan Leader Park, as you know we disciples from the Martial Alliance Academy have returned from the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension with plenty of medicinal plants and herbs. I’m sure Clan Leader has purchased some from other disciples that are starting to sell. But I want to assure Clan Leader that my medicinal plants and herbs are far superior! The pills that would result from them would be of the purest quality if a skilled Alchemist were to perform the concoction."

Sol looked so desperate, Park Yong just wanted to get up and leave.

"Get on with it."

Park Yong said with an annoyed expression on his face.

Sol forced a smile and nodded. He then put up three fingers and said.

"I’ll sell you three thousand medicinal plants and herbs from each Tier all the way up to the Sixth Tier."

Cough! Cough! Cough!

Park Yong nearly choked on his wine. He looked at Sol in disbelief and asked.

"You- How did you get so many medicinal plants and herbs to sell?"

"Clan Leader didn’t I just say it just now? I was initially going to sell them to the Jeagal Clan as they offered me three times the price of what the academy would offer, but seeing the demand of medicinal plants in the City, I thought why not sell them now?"

Park Yong was about to call bullshit.

This brat had the opportunity to sell medicinal plants and herbs to the Jeagal Clan and form a relationship with them but he chose not to?

However, on second thought, it was likely in his character, seeing that he loved money so much. He just might forsake forming a relationship with one of the Five Great Clans to get greater profits.

Park Yong’s eyes had a flash past through them, but he managed to bury it deep so Sol couldn’t see it.

He then smiled; his demeanor completely shifting.

"Disciple Sol, how much are you willing to sell these medicinal plants and herbs for?"

"For the Tier 1 to Tier 3 medicinal plants, I’ll sell them to you for fifty million high-grade Aether Stones. As for the medicinal plants from Tier 4 to Tier 6, I’ll sell them for one hundred million high-grade Aether Stones. Sounds reasonable right?"

"Hm."

Park Yong nodded.

It does sound reasonable.

From his estimation, the price had only quadrupled. But considering what he had paid for medicinal plants and cultivation resources so far, this was quite low.

One should note the main reason why the market for medicinal plants and herbs saw such price inflation, was not only because of the dimension being sealed leaving Clans and Sects running low on their reserves of medicinal plants and cultivation resources, but because they were planning on leaving Pearl City.

When leaving their home and starting off in a foreign City, it would be hard to establish a footing. They would need ample resources to do so.

And they can forget about purchasing these resources from the City they decided to settle in. The top powers in those Cities would never allow them to get a footing and become a competitor.

So these Clans and Sects were forced to spend all of their Aether Stones on purchasing cultivations resources before leaving.

Purchasing medicinal pills themselves would be cheaper, but it was better to go to the source and purchase the medicinal plants and herbs themselves.

Storing the pills would lead to too many complications, plus they had their own Alchemists that could concoct fresh pills for their Clans and Sects.

After recovering from his shock, Park Yong thought for a moment and then looked at Sol. His eyes had an inquisitive look in them as he said.

"I heard the Alchemy Pavilion of your Martial Alliance Academy has set up a Loaning Business."

Sol nodded.

"That’s right, they did it so the Mortals who would be displaced after Pearl City is abandoned could support themselves in the next City. I don’t think they’re planning on having them repay the loan though."

"Hm, so you say but I find it suspicious since you’re now selling medicinal plants to the Clans and Sects in the City. I’m sure I’m not the only person who you have come to with such an offer. What are you planning?"

Park Yong didn’t think he had to beat around the bush with this immature brat, he came outright to question his motives.

Sol hurriedly waved his hands and said.

"Clan Leader Park is misunderstanding things. Though I am a part of the Alchemy Pavilion I have no relation to what they’re currently doing. I just wanted to sell my medicinal plants for a profit."

Park Yong snorted.

"Brat, don’t try and play games with me. I’ve been a part of the cultivation world before you were even alive. I can smell that you’re trying to cook up something by selling these medicinal plants and herbs to me."

Sol immediately scowled upon hearing how Park Yong was talking to him. He looked beyond offended.

Instantly he got up and glared at Park Yong.

"This is exactly what happened when I went to the other Clans and Sects. Fine, I don’t have to sell my medicinal plants in this City. I still have the Jeagal Clan!"

Sol then turned and hurriedly started walking towards the door. Not an ounce of hesitation was in his steps.

Park Yong seeing this quickly got up and said.

"Wait, disciple Sol, I apologize if I offended you. I-"

Sol spun around and barked at Park Yong.

"Too late! I’m not someone who easily forgives people who look down on me! You and the other Clan Leaders in this City can fuck right off to hell!!"

Park Yong was about to bow as he apologized, but he froze and stared at Sol in a shocked stupor.

He thought if he just antagonized and ruffled him up before apologizing, he could scare the brat into coughing up what he was up to. However, he never expected him to have such an explosive reaction.

But now that Park Yong thought about it, the one thing people like this brat hated more than their love for fooling around and money, was being humiliated.

Swoosh!

Just before Sol could step foot out the door, Park Yong appeared in front of Sol.

"Move, how dare you block me? Do you think I’m scared of you just because you’re in the Spiritual Realm?"

Sol growled out.

"Disciple Sol, I sincerely apologize for offending you. I hope we can continue with our conversation."

Sol sneered and was about to refuse, but Park Yong suddenly added.

"How about this, Disciple Sol? I’ll pay five times the amount for your medicinal plants and herbs."

Sol’s mouth dropped open when he heard that.

"Re-Really, you’ll pay five times the amount?"

Seeing Sol’s wide eyes filled with excitement. Park Yong laughed to himself internally.

He kind of understood a bit more about this child.

Park Yong was thinking too highly of him when he thought he had some grand scheme by coming here to sell him cultivation resources.

’His thought process is simple and plain as day, so it’s easy to figure out what he’s thinking. I must have been too on edge after dealing with those scheming old farts from the other top Sects and Clans.’

Park Yong smiled and politely ushered Sol to sit back down before taking a seat himself.

This might just be a golden egg falling into his lap, he should take advantage of it quickly!
