Chapter 190: Chapter 190- Ji-Hoon’s Decision
RUMBLE!!
RUMBLE!!
RUMBLE!!
It’s been a few minutes and the shaking never let up, not even once.
At this point, everyone was used to it, but at the same time, they were getting nervous.
If this shaking was happening throughout the entire dimension, then they couldn’t imagine the chaos that was happening outside.
As everyone was sitting around waiting for something to happen, Heon-Tae who was closely observing Cheong-Su and Ji-Hoon, hurriedly stood up.
"Eldest Brother!"
Everyone immediately looked over to see that Ji-Hoon was opening his eyes. At the same time, the shaking started to calm down.
Jinji looked over at Ji-Hoon and an excited glint appeared in his eyes.
After opening his eyes Ji-Hoon looked around.
"So it was all an illusion."
Ji-Hoon heard Heon-Tae’s call and turned to him.
"How long have we been in here?"
"Eldest Brother, it’s been nearly two weeks! The time Second Brother bought us is almost up!"
Heon-Tae said as hurried over with everyone.
"We just have to wait until brother wakes up."
Cheong-San said using his Soul Energy.
"Hm?"
Ji-Hoon looked over at Cheong-Su and realized something. He then looked down at the softly pulsating Grand Formation beneath them.
"Oh, that’s how it is. Let me help you Fifth Brother."
Ji-Hoon then directed his palm over the Grand Formation.
Everyone watched in shock as the Grand Formation released a blinding golden light.
"Eldest Brother, what-?!"
Heon-Tae blurted out.
Ji-Hoon slowly raised his palm upward and what followed was several golden balls of light rising from out of the Grand Formation.
These balls of light with varying sizes floated above everyone’s heads.
Sol and the others were still in shock at this scene but Jinji’s shocked expression was for a different reason.
’I can’t believe he’s got this much control after just receiving Master’s Inheritance. No wonder the Inheritance chose him even though he doesn’t have any of Master’s disciples’ Inheritances.
"Ji-Hoon, did you receive Immortal Dai Shen’s Inheritance?"
Sol asked and Ji-Hoon nodded with a smile on his face.
"The reason why Fifth Brother hasn’t awoken yet is because he’s trying to obtain one of these treasures."
"You mean all these balls of light are treasures?"
Mar-Dule’s eyes twinkle as he looked at the dozen or so golden balls of light.
"I’m not sure what grade of weapons they are after so much time has past degrading them, but they’re still powerful enough that they are able to power this Grand Formation until now. Perhaps they’ve all surpassed a Spiritual Treasure and reached the level of a Divine Artifact."
After saying this, Ji-Hoon waved his hands at one of the balls of light.
This sent the ball of light flying toward Cheong-Su. It stopped in front of him before the golden light around it dissipated.
A guqin musical instrument was revealed inside. Its wooden body looked like it was rotten, and a few of its strings were snapped. However, the aura that surrounded it was intimidating.
Cheong-Su’s Tier 7 Innate Dharma materialized above his head. It was similarly a guqin that radiated a soft azure color.
As Sol looked at it, he realized it had similar golden patterns on it like Heon-Tae’s Blade Innate Dharma. And the same as Heon-Tae’s Innate Dharma, these markings were incomplete.
Slowly, azure silk-like threads sprouted from Cheong-Su’s Innate Dharma to wrap around the decrepit-looking guqin.
Twang!
A musical note reverberated out in the hall. With just that one note the atmosphere in the hall shifted.
The surroundings began warping, and what was real and what was an illusion was no longer distinguishable.
Byeong-Ho shook his head to get out of the dazed state he was put in.
"That’s a powerful treasure."
He commented, and everyone nodded.
Jinji turned to Ji-Hoon and said.
"Are you sure you want to give him that guqin? Without it, the Grand Formation will lose its ability to cast illusions."
"I’m sure."
Ji-Hoon said with a nod, but paused and looked at Jinji weirdly.
"Who are you?"
Jinji immediately puffed out his chest.
"My name is Jinji! From now on you’re my new Master!"
"...Okay?"
Ji-Hoon was taken aback by that but still nodded slowly.
"Look, brother is waking up!"
Cheong-San said
The azure threads retreated from around the guqin back to Cheong-Su’s Innate Dharma, that returned to his body. He then opened his eyes and grabbed the guqin floating in front of him.
Cheong-Su then turned to Ji-Hoon and smiled.
"Thank you, Eldest Brother."
Ji-Hoon smiled as well.
"No need, I would have liked to give everyone a treasured weapon, but these only respond to someone who is fated with it. Unless they feel a connection with you they would rather be destroyed than be subdue."
"So they have a bit of intelligence?"
Mar-Dule was looking at a saber in one of the golden balls of light close by. He took a step back from it when he heard Ji-Hoon’s words.
His dual sabers weren’t at the level of a Divine Artifact, as those were weapons mostly used by Spiritual Realm cultivators who have an abundance of Aether Energy to spare. Instead, his sabers were mid-grade Spirit Treasures.
However, they were made from a special material only found in his Barbarian Race’s Eternal Desert, which made them almost as durable as any low-grade Divine Artifact.
"Okay, since Cheong-Su is awake, we should hurry and leave."
Yoon-Jae said before turning to Ji-Hoon.
"Can you get us out of here?"
Ji-Hoon nodded.
"Wait, what about sharing the Inheritance loot?"
Mar-Dule said.
Yoon-Jae turned to him with a weird expression on his face.
"You want to do that now? You do know that’s equivalent to 1/8th of the entire medicinal herbs and treasures inside the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension right? Do you even know how long it would take to collect them? Do you even have a storage bag or storage ring that can hold that amount of stuff?"
Being bombarded by these questions, Mar-Dule’s expression turned blank. It was now that he realized the gravity of Ji-Hoon actually owning the entire dimension.
Mar-Dule hesitated.
"Wait, we aren’t really planning on taking the entire dimension for ourselves right? That’s... How would that work? Wouldn’t the Sects and Clan be enraged?"
Ji-Hoon’s eyes narrowed.
"Does it really matter? I came here for an opportunity to rebuild the Forgotten Sect and take revenge on the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans. Since Immortal Dai Shen’s Inheritance is the entire dimension I can kill two birds with one stone."
Heon-Tae frowned.
"We are still deciding on whether we’ll use Immortal Dai Shen’s Inheritance to rebuild the Forgotten Sect or create a new one. Don’t go making that decision by yourself without consulting us Eldest Brother."
Ji-Hoon paused.
He then slowly looked at Heon-Tae and said.
"I’m going to use Immortal Dai Shen’s Inheritance to rebuild the Forgotten Sect. Third Brother if you want to take your share and leave then I won’t stop you."
"Bullshit!"
Heon-Tae gritted his teeth and walked up to Ji-Hoon to grab his collar. He knew something was going to happen. Ji-Hoon had always been too stubborn for his good, but he had have enough.
"Are you telling me to leave? After what we’ve been through are you actually planning on tossing me aside after you’ve obtained Immortal Dai Shen’s Inheritance?!"
"Third Brother, I’m doing no such thing. Didn’t I say I’ll give you your share? I’m only going to use my own share to rebuild the Forgotten Sect. Third Brother, you already decided on throwing away the Forgotten Sect long ago."
"No, that’s not the point!!"
Heon-Tae’s voice reverberated on the walls of the halls. He was still clutching Ji-Hoon’s collar as he raised his lowered head and glared at him.
"We’re in this together. You can’t make this decision Eldest brother, you just can’t."
Ji-Hoon frowned.
"I already did, and it’s not something I’ll go back on."
Ji-Hoon then pulled away from Heon-Tae’s hold and took a few steps back.
Heon-Tae felt something in his heart crumbling when he saw this.
