The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 155- I Never Miss

Chapter 155: Chapter 155- I Never Miss

The alchemy disciple couldn’t react and could only close his eyes in panic.

However, when a few seconds passed by and he felt nothing, the alchemy disciple opened his eyes wondering if death was this painless. Was he already in the afterlife?

But he wasn’t dead, Ji-Hoon had stopped his sword just inches away from his neck.

In the end, he couldn’t kill these people.

Ji-Hoon might have only joined the Academy in order to complete his mission, but these disciples had become his friends over the past three years he had been in the Academy.

Ji-Hoon clicked his tongue and was about to withdraw his sword to try and make a run for it once again. However, a sword suddenly appeared out of nowhere from behind this alchemy disciple to stab him in his abdomen.

Yun-Soo’s head slipped from behind the alchemy disciple to show Ji-Hoon that malicious grin on his face.

"You... fucking bastard."

Ji-Hoon forced out before he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood.

The Wind-type Aether Energy around Yun-Soo’s sword had entered his body and was going on a rampage damaging his internal organs.

Meanwhile, the alchemy disciple who was used as bait felt faint.

Yun-Soo’s sword had stabbed through his robes. He could even feel the cold steel and Wind Aether Energy around the sword against his skin.

Just another two inches to the right and the sword would have pierced his stomach.

This scared him as well as pissed him off.

Bang!

Before Ji-Hoon himself could do anything, the alchemy disciple raised his hand and elbowed Yun-Soo in the face.

With a sickening crunch, the alchemy disciple could feel Yun-Soo’s nose breaking beneath his elbow.

This elated him immensely and all of the frustrations he had against this big-mouth bastard were diminished somewhat.

As Yun-Soo was knocked away, the sword in Ji-Hoon’s stomach was pulled out.

Ji-Hoon grabbed his wound and tried to stop the bleeding when he heard the alchemy disciple whispering.

"Senior Brother Ji-Hoon now is your chance."

Ji-Hoon was surprised and he looked up at the disciple who had a pale and sweaty face. He was actually smiling at him.

"Brother Ji-Hoon, you might not remember but when I first entered the Academy I was always being bullied by the disciples of the Irregular Dharma Pavilion. However, Brother Ji-Hoon stepped in and saved me. This is my repayment for that time, so please Brother Ji-Hoon hurry and escape while we attack you."

Ji-Hoon suddenly looked around and saw more of the alchemy disciples looking at him.

They seemed to share this person’s sentiments.

Now that he thought about it, he realized there was no killing intent in these alchemy disciples’ attacks.

Ji-Hoon suddenly leaped back, and on cue, the alchemy disciples rushed towards him.

"He’s injured, get him!!"

One of them suddenly yelled as he rushed forward but in truth, his heart wasn’t in it.

Instead, he glared at Yun-Soo from the corner of his eyes as he ran past him.

The person they hated the most right now wasn’t Ji-Hoon but Yun-Soo.

He had just used one of their own as bait, it didn’t even seem like it was on purpose that his sword missed him but pure coincidence. At that moment Yun-Soo didn’t care if he had stabbed through the alchemy disciple to get to Ji-Hoon.

Ji-Hoon might be a spy from the Demonic Cult, but not once had he raised his sword to attack them even when he was being chased by them.

As the alchemy disciples attacked Ji-Hoon, he either dodged or blocked their attacks while escaping.

Yun-Soo seeing this roared out while clutching his broken nose.

"What are you bastards doing?!! You’re letting him escape!!"

One alchemy disciple instantly roared back.

"Get off your ass and come help us then!! Aren’t you just sitting there watching him escape?! What would the outside world think if someone from the Wudang Sect remained on the sidelines as a spy from the Demonic Cult escaped?!"

After having his words flung back at him, Yun-Soo scowled as if he had just tasted dog shit.

"Move!"

The muscular disciple from before leaped over the alchemy disciples’ heads to attack the injured Ji-Hoon, but he only got two attacks in before he was forced back.

As he was ready to attack once again, the alchemy disciples in the surroundings suddenly rushed toward Ji-Hoon, completely blocking his path of attack.

"What are you idiots doing?!!"

The muscular youth roared when he saw this.

As Ji-Hoon retreated while being attacked, he suddenly gritted his teeth and made a decision.

With a burst of speed, he escaped the encirclement of the alchemy disciples. Afterward, he suddenly slapped his storage bag and took out a jade slip before immediately crushing it.

Soon, spatial fluctuation enveloped his body.

"He’s using a teleportation jade slip, stop him!"

Yun-Soo yelled from some distance away.

The muscular youth’s eyes flashed and he leaped up into the air before approaching Ji-Hoon.

Ji-Hoon remained still as he formed several hand seals and pointed forward.

Dozens of fiery chains materialized around him and acted like a cage. A cage that moved and attacked whoever got too close.

The muscular youth came and was immediately knocked back by a fiery chain. Then before he could recover four more appeared and lashed out at him.

The muscular youth coughed out a mouth full of blood and was thrown back.

His upper robes were destroyed, revealing a yellow armor that was radiating intense Earth-type Aether Energy. There was a dent in the chest of the armor in the shape of a footprint, which showed where Ji-Hoon had kicked him before.

It was no wonder he could fight until now.

This armor was likely a mid-grade treasure.

As the muscular youth fell at the feet of the alchemy disciples who had stopped some distance away, they glanced at him wearing the armor and then at each other.

As cultivators who specialize in alchemy, not only their attack power but their defensive powers were weak as well.

Armor like this was akin to a second life if they had it.

"It’s mine!"

One disciple yelled as he lunged at the unconscious muscular youth.

However, he was immediately knocked away by another alchemy disciple.

Suddenly a scuffling broke out in this area for this armor.

"Damn it! What are you all doing?! He can’t move or else the teleportation would be canceled, attack him!!"

Despite Yun-Soo’s yells, the alchemy disciples didn’t move an inch.

Ji-Hoon was practically untouchable right now unless maybe Sol or Yoon-Jae made a move.

Some people glance at the two who were back at the ruined Palace.

By the time they came here, Ji-Hoon would be gone.

That was what they thought until they saw Sol suddenly raise his large golden bow and knock it back.

Green runes lit up on the bow and quickly Wood-type Aether Energy gathered to form a large green arrow between the bow.

"Brother Sol... is he going to-"

BANG!

Sol released the arrow and a terrifying aura swept out.

In the blink of an eye, this green arrow shot over the alchemy disciples’ heads and went straight for Ji-Hoon.

The fiery chains lashed out at this arrow but they were easily brushed aside.

It seemed as if nothing in this world could stop this divine arrow.

With another loud bang.

Everyone watched as Sol’s arrow pierced through a gap between the many fiery chains before entering Ji-Hoon’s chest and pinning him to the ground.

Simultaneously as this scene played out, the spatial fluctuations reached their peak around Ji-Hoon and teleported his lifeless corpse away along with his Innate Dharma.

The area turned deathly silent, and all the alchemy disciples looked at where Ji-Hoon’s body was.

They were somewhat confused about this situation. They had just tried to help Ji-Hoon escape, but at the last moment, Sol killed him.

Everyone turned to look at Sol.

His actions weren’t out of the norm, perhaps he was thinking of what would happen to the Alchemy Pavilion if the Demonic Cult spy was revealed but was allowed to escaped.

However, some alchemy disciples who had helped Ji-Hoon couldn’t help but feel slight anger toward Sol.

Sol with a neutral expression on his face lowered his bow.

Yoon-Jae who was next to him opened his mouth and asked.

"Did you really kill him?"

Sol turned to Yoon-Jae and suddenly smiled.

"I never miss."

He then turned and entered the ruined Palace.

Meanwhile, Bong Seon was heard wailing at Ji-Hoon’s death to her brother’s discontent.

Yoon-Jae watched Sol enter the Palace before sighing to himself. He then turned his gaze to Yun-Soo.

His eyes flashed with a dangerous light before he stepped towards him with a vicious look on his face.

Needless to say, Yun-Soo wasn’t going to leave here with a simple broken nose.
