The City Lord suddenly shot up from his seat as fast as his extremely rotund body could allow him.

He then bowed towards Senior Gu before saying.

"I’ll personally go get the information Senior Gu requested!"

Then turning to his son, the City Lord said.

"Dae Han, come with me."

Dae Han nodded before he followed his Father outside the office.

The City Lord left the door open for his son to exit before closing the office door behind him.

Several red runes could be seen lighting up on the door as it closed. There was a formation around the room that prevented anyone from spying inside.

Though it also prevented anyone inside from hearing what was going on outside. This applies to Spiritual Realm cultivators too.

The City Lord had bowed the furthest he could go, which is a sixty-degree angle, toward Senior Gu as he closed the door.

After the door was closed, he stood there facing the door for a few seconds before he suddenly snapped his head towards his son and softly growled out.

"You never said anything about the Academy coming to question me!"

Dae Han had his hands in his sleeves as he looked at the City Lord and said exasperatingly.

"City Lord, I explained this to you along with the entire plan. You just have to follow what I say and we will be fine."

The City Lord glared at Dae Han and growled once more.

"You bastard, if this plan of yours fails and what we’re planning is found out by Senior Gu, then I’ll personally kill you before he kills me."

"City Lord, calm down. The plan will work, as long as you’ve scrubbed my information from the City Gate logs then we’ll be fine. Rather, you should think about what you’re going to do with all the Aether Stones and treasure we’ll get from sealing the medicinal plants in the dimension."

Hearing this the City Lord felt his heart picking up speed. But soon he forcefully suppressed his greed and said while glaring at Dae Han.

"Bastard, that’s not gonna work on me this time!"

Dae Han clicked his tongue internally.

"I really mean it when I said I’m going to kill you if we get caught! And those friends of yours in the dimension, I don’t trust them to steal as much medicinal plant as you claim. Brat, are you playing me?"

A dangerous light flashed passed the City Lord’s eyes.

Dae Han’s expression was calm and his hands were still in his sleeves as he said.

"City Lord, how would I dare lie to you when you’re in the Spiritual Realm and I’m in the Mortal Realm? And do you think I would play such a dangerous game and be here when those from the Martial Alliance Academy are searching everywhere for a Demonic Cult spy? Even the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans have already entered the City."

The City Lord was frighten upon hearing that.

"Brat is that the truth? Are they really here?"

The City Lord grabbed Dae Han’s collar as he said this.

"Yes, I got word that they’re currently in hiding searching for me and my friends."

The City Lord was visibly nervous as he let go of Dae Han and started biting his nails.

The City Lord suddenly turned to Dae Han after saying this and grabbed his collar once more as he said.

Dae Han released a smile and he placed his hand on the City Lords hand holding his collar before saying.

"No problem, we were already planning on increasing your reward if I carry out my plan successfully."

The City Lord’s sweaty face reddened when he heard that and an excited expression appeared on it.

Leaning closer he said.

"What did you say your plan was again?"

"I need to stay as close as possible to the Teleportation Array. I have a Spirit Treasure that can disrupted the Spatial Flow of the Array."

"For how long?"

"As of now we can wait for a month and half before I need do anything, but after that the Academy will be able to fix the damage I did to the Teleportation Array. It’s during that time I would need to stay close to it for at least another half a month."

"Okay, okay, I can get you close to the Teleportation Array, but only to the one that leads to the outer regions of the dimension."

"That outer region is a fracture portion of the Inner Dimension where the Academy sends it’s disciples. However, the two Teleportation Arrays use to travel to both of them are connected. So as long as I’m close to either one then it’s fine."

The City Lord suddenly let out an uproarious laugh and said.

"One month? Two months? I can get you to stay for as long as I want, who would dare object when I’m the City Lord? Hahaha...!!"

The City Lord was being too loud, so Dae Han went to shut him up. However, before he could, the door to the office suddenly swung open and Senior Gu was standing there at the doorway.

Both Dae Han and the City Lord both felt like a bucket of cold water had been thrown over their heads. The City Lord began to quiver.

"Se-Senior Gu, I-I can explain."

The two thought that perhaps they were found out, but contrary to their thoughts, Senior Gu saw something else when he open the door.

He had frozen at the sight of the City Lord so close to Dae Han while grabbing his collar. Then upon seeing the perverse expression of happiness on the City Lord’s face, as well as his immediate reaction to being caught, Senior Gu scowled in disgust.

Seeing Senior Gu’s reaction, Dae Han made a quick thinking decision.

He suddenly had his face go pale and he stepped back away from the City Lord before stuttering.

"City Lord, not-not here."

Senior Gu’s disgusted expression increased even more and he turned to glare at the City Lord.

In response the City Lord blinked, not knowing why Senior Gu was looking at his with so much disgust or why Dae Han was acting so timid.

"Se-Senior Gu, did you, did you perhaps hear our conversation? I-I can explain really!"

"Revolting pig! I don’t want to hear your explanation for your perverse preferences. Get me the information I asked for, I will be with the other Elders at the Teleportation Array. Bring them there in ten minutes!"

After saying that, Senior Gu swished his sleeves and went to immediately leave the City Lord’s mansion.

However, he suddenly turned around and said.

"And have someone else bring it, I don’t want to ever see you in my sight again!"

Meanwhile, the City Lord was confused about what had just transpired, but he was equally as happy that he hadn’t been found out.

As Senior Gu left, Dae Han raised his head slightly and narrowed his eyes as he looked at him.

He then turned and entered the office, followed by the City Lord who took out a jade slip and commanded someone to retrieve the information Senior Gu wanted.

Afterward, the City Lord sighed before wiping the sweat off his face and entering the office.
