Chapter 126: Chapter 126- Commencing Operation Home Alone!!

The bracelet clamp back onto Sol’s leg, allowing his hair and eyes to return to their normal color. He then gritted his teeth before he turned and took a step forward.

Sol’s figure blurred as he used his Heavenly Steps to flee the ballroom in a flash.

The Nian beast’s wailing screams could be heard as it chased after him.

However, Sol comfortably increased the distance between them with his speed while the Nian beast struggle to fit through the narrow hallways.

After running for a few minutes, Sol appeared back at the office. But he had to pause as the pathway was blocked by the Nian beast destroying the walls.

"Damn, I wanted to collect the books in the office first."

Sol looked to see if he could clear the rumble and enter, but that would take a long time that he didn’t have.

’Maybe I can find them in the library. They can’t be the only copies in this entire Palace.’

Sol decided to give up on these books.

Again, even though they didn’t contain secret Martial Arts Techniques, they were still interesting.

It contained a forgotten history of the Easter Continent.

What was it like back when Immortal Deities existed?

The structure of power on the continent then, the economy, the environment.

How did everyone go about their daily lives with these Deities lording over them? Did the mortals know these beings existed? Did they perhaps worship them?

Overall how different a time like that was compared to now?

And most importantly, how did the Deities die?

But did they actually? What really happened?

These questions cause Sol to feel like he was itching all over. He was too curious!

This was information maybe only the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans had because of how old they were, but was it as detailed as these books? After all, Sol might be the first person to read them in the past thousands of years.

With that thought, Sol ran toward one of the large arch openings and leaped through the blue barrier.

Before he could fall to his death, one of the bracelets on his leg detached and he used it as a stepping stone to redirect himself to the other side of the rubble blocking the pathway.

However, while he was outside, Sol took a quick glance at the scenery visible from this high up.

The sun had gone down long ago revealing the starry night sky.

Sol also shivered from the air that blew against him. He was practically naked due to his ruined clothes.

After landing on the other side of the rubble Sol clamped back the bracelet onto his ankle, before quickly taking out another alchemy disciple robe to wear.

When that was done, Sol glanced outside of the Palace.

Something had caught his eye while he was out there.

Due to this being the Inner Court which was deep inside the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension, along with it being in ruins, when night fell everything was in pitch darkness.

There was no moon in the sky tonight so no light should be present.

It should be completely dark.

However, on the distant horizon, Sol could faintly see the light of a campfire.

Taking off the bracelet on his right hand, Sol used his Heavenly Eyes to see what this source of light was.

The tattoo of the sun and crescent moon faintly appeared on his forehead once more as he guide his bloodline energy into his eyes which gained a black ghostly light.

After a few blinks, Sol’s vision enhanced and he saw a small campfire.

Even after using his Heavenly Eyes Sol was still unable to see the campfire clearly, it was still some distance away. But he did manage to see a faint silhouette that was being illuminated by the light of the campfire.

When Sol saw this faint silhouette he audibly gasped in shock. He was that surprised.

"Brother Byeong-Ho?"

Sol knew that silhouette anywhere, that was definitely Byeong-Ho!

However, what happened next puzzled Sol.

The figure suddenly jumped up and began looking around frantically. He even had his hand on his sword that was on his waist.

"Who is that?!"

Sol heard a voice that seemed to faintly whisper in his ear from a distance away.

If everything wasn’t so silent he probably wouldn’t have heard it.

Startled by the voice, Sol instinctively spun around thinking someone was behind him. However, no one was there.

By this point, Sol was starting to get paranoid because several times did something spooky like this happened to him. Maybe he was being haunted by ghosts.

Well, maybe not this time because he recognized this voice.

’Wait, was that...? It sounded like Brother Byeong-Ho!’

Sol quickly turned back to look at the campfire, however, he didn’t see it. It looked like Byeong-Ho had left.

"What was that? How was I able to hear Brother Byeong-Ho’s voice from this distance? And was he able to hear me as well?"

The two of them were around a hundred and fifty kilometers apart.

Previously, when his Master helped test out his Heavenly Eyes, Sol could only see about seventy kilometers away when he took off one bracelet.

But now three years later that doubled.

"If it’s one hundred and fifty kilometers away, it would take me roughly a day and a half to get to that location."

Sol immediately shook his head.

As much as he wanted to see Byeong-Ho Sol wouldn’t dare risk going outside of this safe haven since Spiritual Realm monsters were likely in abundance in the Inner Court.

But why would Byeong-Ho be a place like this? Did he perhaps get teleported like them too? Or did he willingly come here?

Maybe Sol should go help him.

Sol stood at the edge of the arch opening and thought for a moment.

Soon, Sol looked out of the horizon and smiled.

"I’m sure Brother Byeong-Ho will be safe without my help. He’s my rival after all! I would be very disappointed if someone as great as him died like this. The heavens would be blind if they allowed that to happen. Perhaps he’s chasing his own Legacy Inheritance like I am."

That very well means Sol couldn’t slack off.

Sol turned and headed for Su Jin’s Mother’s room to collect those books. Afterward, he was going to head for the library.

Now that he had assimilated with most of the Legacy Rune, he was able to see what was inside the Grand Formation Array and where the library was.

Sol could also see where the Nian beast was, although it seem to be hiding its presence.

"After so many years of living here, it’s not a surprise that it learns to control some parts of the Grand Formation Array, but it’s really not enough to hide and sneak up on me."

Sol clamped back the bracelet onto his wrist as he headed for the room.

But he couldn’t help but glance at the bracelets for a brief moment.

It wasn’t that Sol refuse to try and understand his abilities nor was he ignoring them, but his Father placed these seals on him for a reason. And he thought about that reason a lot.

Sol eventually came to the conclusion that it was either to help control his bloodline power little by little as he grow older or it was to hide the fact that he had this bloodline.

Well, perhaps it was both.

But if the former was the case, then over time Sol would slowly learn more about himself like his Father wanted.

For now, all Sol has to do is take everything in stride and not freak out about what bloodline ability will pop up in the future. Even if it was something like his hair turning a rainbow-like color, or him being able to faze through a solid stone wall.

Sol suddenly froze in his steps when thought of that last sentence.

After scratching his chin, his eyes began glowing with calculating light.

He was deducing a few things.

After a moment, the light faded and his hand dropped from his chin.

Sol grinned.

"No wonder it was unharmed from my arrow, it does make sense if I factor in an ability like that. I knew I wasn’t so weak. If I was, then I would have been training all this time for nothing. But now I need to find some way to fight it, I can’t just run away from it for an entire week. And the barriers I can erect won’t last for long."

Sol thought some more before his mind wandered to Su Jin. He was able to escape from the Nian beast all those years ago, perhaps he would know of a way to deal with it.

Sol closed his eyes and the blue rune on the back of his palm glowed a bit.

Immediately, the layout of the entire Palace appeared in his mind.

It was separated into the east wing and the West Wing.

If Sol wasn’t mistaken, this was the West Wing, Su Jin’s residence was on the East Wing. He live as far away as he could from the impostor who was his Father.

Sol soon opened his eyes and he decided to head there after gathering the books from the main bedroom.

There was no going around it, he had to handle the Nian beast first before he could have the Palace to himself to finish absorbing the Legacy Inheritance and read as many books as he wanted!

"Just you wait, you prolific home invader, I’ll find some way to deal with you. Has anyone ever told you before you have a problem? You need to get your place own place!"

Sol clenched his fist in front of him before walking off to put his plan into action.

Operation Home Alone has officially commenced!!
