Chapter 839: New Status.
But everything was happening so fast, the crowd watched in awe as a golden-coloured pill appeared in Alec’s hand, and he extended it toward Bailey Lanzt, it was obvious to many that Alec had just pulled it from his space ring, prompting a few to glance toward the fifth VIP booth.
Their eyes locked onto the Gordons Patriarch, though no one said a word, But George could clearly read the unspoken message behind their stares:
“How could you leave such a priceless treasure in the hands of your grandson? Look, he’s about to hand it to that smelly old man!”
What they didn’t realize, however, was that even George himself had never seen such a pill of that realm before, just like them all, It was also his first time laying eyes on a Tier 7 healing pill, and the jealousy brewing inside him could have made him explode.
He had this itch to rush down and snatch the pill from Alec’s hand, and lock it away forever in the Gordons Clan treasury, so it would never see the light of day again.
But he had to maintain appearances, so he forced on his signature smile while crying internally, when Garrick glanced at him, he could only shake his head.
“How long are you going to make my hand ache?” Alec asked in a joking manner as many in the crowd chuckled, he had said this because he was still holding the pill out as Bailey, who looked stunned, as he kept staring at the pill.
The pill gave off an indescribable aura, Bailey could swear he saw a green dragon engraved on its surface, and when he focused, it looked like the dragon’s body was swimming around the pill in a gentle river current.
Even its Scent filled the auction hall, as low-rank mages felt their long-held aches and fatigue from training melt away.
There were faint effects on some mid-rank mages as well, but the high-rankers could actually see golden streams drifting in the air, flowing toward the weaker mages and attempting to heal them.
Even Alec could see it, thanks to his slightly higher mental stats.
But unlike the Tier 7 mages, though, he only saw a thin line of golden thread extending from the pill and connecting to others around the room. The healing effects it gave off to the Low rank mages just by being in proximity to it, made it obvious that it was a genuine high-rank pill, the first of its kind ever seen in Estonia City.
“Are… are you sure you want me taking such a pill?” Bailey asked, his voice trembling as he struggled to believe what was being offered to him.
“Come on, old fogey, just take the damn pill already, I went through so much trouble to make sure you got cured in the flashiest way possible. The least you can do is enjoy the limelight,” Alec’s voice echoed directly in his mind, growing tired of Bailey’s hesitation.
Bailey’s eyes widened as he realized what had just happened, a telepathic message.
Alec had spoken to him mentally, that meant his mental strength was already high enough to bridge minds, he didn’t even mind being scolded.
Instead, he grinned like a fool, this confirmed to him that Alec would definitely reach the high ranks very soon than later in future, and now more than ever, he wanted to tie the boy to his clan one way or another.
Many mages who thought of themselves talented had found themselves stuck at Tier 6, unable to bridge the gap to the High rank realm, just because they were unable to cultivate their mental strength or even properly materialize their mana.
But Alec, a newly advanced Tier 6 mage, was already using mental abilities most couldn’t dream of until Peak Tier 6 realm.
Without another word, Bailey took the pill and swallowed it.
As gasps of disappointment echoed through the room, not because they didn’t want him healed, but because the pill was now gone, consumed. Still, no one dared speak as they watched in awe.
New flesh began to regenerate where the blackened, infected shoulder had been. Mangled flesh, tissue, and blood seemed to weave themselves together, as if they were being guided by some invisible hand stitching it all in place.
Slowly but surely, the wound was healed, fresh and whole, as if there had never been an infection at all.
As if that wasn’t enough, the residual energy from the pill began surging through the rest of Bailey’s body, healing old, hidden injuries.
Then came the unexpected, a powerful gust of wind element gathered around him.
Those with knowledge of mage cultivation could hardly believe their eyes, the Grand Elder of the Lanzt Clan had just experienced two minor breakthroughs, instantly reaching the peak of the Tier 7 mage realm.
Bailey burst into joyful laughter as he moved toward Alec and pulled him into a tight hug.
His strength was returning, but this time it felt far greater than ever before, the healing pills previously given to him by the Gordons’ envoy had helped him clear part of his blocked mana passage, and he had felt hope that, with enough effort, he might rise to the next minor realm in cultivation.
But the Tier 7 healing pill Alec gave him surpassed all expectations, that he even felt fifteen Tier 6 healing pills combined couldn’t match the effect of that single high-rank pill.
All his mana veins were now cleared, every hidden injury gone, and his foundation was as solid as a mountain which made all his earlier effort in cultivation for years that had been blocked due to his Mana veins push him towards two minor stages of breakthrough.
He felt like a teenager again who was starting at the beginning of his cultivation journey with no barriers in sight.
He was sure the Lanzt Clan was on the cusp of a new era, not just because of his renewed strength that made him join the list of strongest mages in the city, but with his son’s strength as well, as with that Spirit Equipment Set they won earlier, it was bound to make him invisible too among Tier 6 mages, Bailey had that much confidence in the Gordons goods as they have proven to all be high quality.

Now finally free from the threat of death, Bailey felt invigorated, striding back to the Lanzt Clan’s VIP booth with a youthful swagger and laughter on his lips.
On his way back, countless clan members stopped to congratulate him.
Many more seized the opportunity to grow closer to the Lantz Clan, not just because of their clear connection with the Gordons, but because their power had visibly risen to a whole new level.
Many believed the Gordons were closely allied with the Lantz Clan, especially after hearing and in some cases witnessing—how the Lanzt had clung to them during the last Blood Moon War, giving off the wrong impression.
Though the Gordons had never formally acknowledged such battlefield tactics or alliance, but the shameless Lanzt didn’t seem to care, as long as it helped them survive, and now, Bailey was clearly enjoying all the attention.
