"Rose, making that two hundred thousand US Dollars was too easy, haha!"

"Isn’t that the truth? Killing that kid was a breeze; I really don’t understand why the employer would spend so much to have the kid whacked."

The two women returned to their cabin in high spirits, ready to rest.

The cargo ship would leave Tianhai City in Xia Country tonight. Not to mention the police couldn’t track them, even if they did, they would have already been long gone.

"Rose, do you smell something?" one of the female assassins asked, wrinkling her nose with a frown.

"Dan Ni, did you smell it too?" the assassin named Rose immediately got up from the bed and flung the cabin door open.

The moment they opened the door, a ghastly ghost mask loomed before them!

Rose had no time to react before a dagger slit her throat, a lethal blow!

"Rose!" Dan Ni’s eyes turned blood red as she witnessed her partner dying before her, "I’ll kill you!"

Before Dan Ni could lift a finger, the ghost-masked Phoenix flung two flying knives, one striking each of Dan Ni’s shoulders.

"Ah!" Dan Ni screamed in agony, blood spraying!

Phoenix casually shut the door and slowly approached Dan Ni, her eyes coldly fixed on her: "If you want a swift death, spill everything you know. Believe me, if you don’t talk, you’re going to wish you were dead."

Minutes later, two corpses were dumped by the harbor, and someone reported it to the police.

Yu Li quickly led her team to the scene and instructed the forensic team to examine the two bodies.

Forensics Chen looked gravely serious: "The fatal wound on this body is nearly identical to Zhu Shaoping’s—a slit throat!"

"The Silver Horse Club again!" Yu Li gritted her teeth in anger, but without any evidence to prove it was Shen Selin who ordered the hit, she had to suppress her rage, "Xiao Song, check what happened at the Silver Horse Club tonight. "Even professional killers were hired, whoever’s behind this has some clout," Shen Silin huffed, "Did you find out who their employer was?"

Phoenix replied, "They said they were hired by a scarred man, likely the same one who went after Zhu Shaoping. They don’t know who the scarred man’s boss is, but they overheard the scarred man referring to his boss as ’Second Young Master’."

"Could it be the second son of the Li family?" Shen Silin’s face went pale, "Why would that madman be in Tianhai?"

Phoenix spoke with an even tone: "Mr. Shen, do you want me to take him out for you?"

"No need, you can’t kill him," Shen Silin shook her head, "Let’s just bide our time for now, don’t provoke that madman, or he’ll do anything."

"Alright, Mr. Shen, I’ll take my leave." Phoenix was as elusive as a nighttime ghost, appearing and vanishing without a trace.

No sooner had she left than Yang Yu appeared behind Shen Silin: "Mr. Shen, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back to rest."

"Be careful," Shen Silin’s expression was solemn, "that Li family lunatic has set his sights on you."

Yang Yu was full of confidence: "No worries, I don’t think anyone can get the jump on me. I can see through anyone’s new face or disguise in an instant."

Shen Silin said, "You’re not afraid, but what about your family and friends?"

At those words, Yang Yu was instantly silenced.

Yang Yu hadn’t expected Shen Silin to think of protecting his family before he did, and he felt even more grateful: "Mr. Shen, thank you."

"A wolf’s nature is to never give up on its target, clinging to it even in death, until the last wolf," Yu Li said slowly, "You, have got yourself into trouble."
