The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers -
Chapter 39: talk of her party
Chapter 39: talk of her party
"Nice of the three of you to finally join us." Gabriel joked, he could smell the blood and sex on them. "I trust you had a, good morning."
Riley sitting at the table mostly healed. His lips were still swollen and his eye were still a little discolored where Ash had beaten his face in for his assault on Violet. Brothers were becoming increasingly more protective of her. It would become more difficult for Riley to get to her, which really pissed him off. He had just as much right to her as the rest of them. She was his too. She was the most perfect being Riley had ever seen. Sexy but innocent. She was pure perfection. And he had to own all of the perfect things. Riley was a collector of beautiful things. His room was adjourned with trinkets of all kinds. He also delighted in torture, something about the screams begging and pleading for relief and freedom. It turned him on, the way he had control over them. It was his kink. Pain and beauty.
The fact Ash had destroyed his perfect beautiful face, and Jeremy’s remark about their mother. Jeremy’s lucky to still be alive. Riley sat across the table with a smirk, plotting his revenge. He knew the way to hurt both of his younger brothers and get what we wants would be to target Violet. His favorite pet.
"We decided to do a party." Ash spoke first "For Violet’s birthday next weekend."
"Good" Gabriel said so uninterested in the idea.
"I’m really excited! I can’t to see all my friends and family." Violet said clapping her hands with excitement.
"Sounds good, all I have to say is, remember, humans may be present so I ask you to please not embarrass us. I mean you two, Riley - Jeremy." Looking back and forth at the two of them.
"Well I have a meeting in office in the morning and I need to prepare, I’m leaving now." Gabriel said getting up from the table, having only finished half his
breakfast.
"My shoots been postponed for later, since someone damaged my perfect face." Riley
glared at Ash and snarled.
"Well if disgusting vermin kept their hands to themselves someone might still have their perfect face." Jeremy was feeling extra snarky this morning, he was quickly becoming more outspoken and less tolerant of Riley’s bullshit.
"If you don’t shut the fuck up and mind yourself I’ll remind you of the good days." Riley’s glare was malicious and taunting.
Riley’s words made the hair on Jeremy’s body stand up. Jeremy wasn’t always a void emotionless vampire. He used to be sweet and fun. But after their mother passed. Riley developed a new fascination with pain and how others experienced it. The different levels of pain it took to break people. Jeremy was his first experiment.
"Nobody’s scared of your threats Riley. You’re a skinny weak pervert with nothing going for them but their pretty face. Get lost, go beat it to a super model and stay away from Violet. You’re not good enough for her." Jeremy fired back.
"I guess a reminder is needed, for you to not think my threats are empty. I’ll be seeing you later." His gaze moves from Jeremy to Violet and he licked his lips.
"The car has arrived" the butler Eugene said entering the room. His presence helped disperse the heaviness in the air.
"Let’s go you guys, it’s been a while since Violet was at school the last thing we want is for her to be late." Oliver said now standing up extending his hand to Violet. She takes it and pulls herself up. Straightening out her skirt.
"Come on, we’ve got to go, I wanna see Rosa!" Violet said. She turned and rushed the door dragging Oliver behind her.
Ash and Jeremy follow leaving Riley to stew at the table alone.
The four of them sat on their phones. Jeremy was reading a new music score for his upcoming concerto, Violet’s birthday party. His gift would be the gift of song. Jeremy was a renowned cellist. He’d play in concerts all over the world, with different orchestras.
Oliver was working on his game, testing out a new prototype. He was trying to get to the beta phase before Violet’s birthday, but he still kept getting bugs in the same area, it was really beginning to piss him off.
Ash was shopping online. He was going to buy her jewelry, he’d never bought any one jewelry before, and nothing looked like Violet. She was so much prettier than every piece he’s looked at. He was getting aggravated. He was running out of time. Jewelry made in the world of night was better quality than human, but also took a lot longer.
Violet texted her friends from her old school about her birthday party next weekend. She couldn’t wait to see them, show them her new life. How things had been looking up. Without Riley around, things would be pretty good here. She was excited to be in class. She missed doing pottery with Jeremy.
The drive to school is never a long one so they arrived after a short period. Walking through the halls brothers stood close to her like body guards. At this point Violet was used to having them hover around her. At the student hang out area Violet see’s Rosa sitting on a bing bah with her laptop. The student hang out area was near the library and the cafeteria and most of the students tended to spend a lot of free time here to socialize, if not here the cafeteria.
"I’m so excited to have a birthday party! I can’t wait! You’re gonna help me with it right?" Violet had Rosa’s hands in hers as she she jumped up and down.
"Wait why aren’t you as excited as me? Are you okay?" Violet was looking concerned for her best friend.
"This winter vacation, I turn 20 and I’ll be moving in with Alaster. The time and date are set. And I’m so scared. True bloods don’t like half breeds like me. You saw how Jeremy reacted to me... It’s real now, I know we’ve talked before, I’ve always known. But now i’s different. It’s real, real, girl."
"Rosa, it’s gonna be okay, I told you that before and I will tell you now. I will always be there for you. You’ll still be here at school though right?"
"Yeah, he’s just gotta parade me around like a peacock in hopes someone will see me as an exotic beauty. Not many tan curly haired vamp’s ya know girl?" Rosa rolled her eyes "My only value are my good looks according to him."
"You mother must be gorgeous." Violet said her imagination running wild.
"Oh yeah, people confuse her for my sister all the time. She’s stunning, its what made both Alaster and my dad chase her." Rosa smiled thinking about her mother and then a shadow crossed her face. Realization again that she wouldn’t be living with her mother for much longer.
"Let’s focus on my birthday instead of dreading what hasn’t happened yet?" Violet was trying to distract Rosa from her fears and anxiety.
"You’re right." Rosa shaking off her like she was literally shaking off the negativity. "Okay what are we doing?"
"A party." Ash said leaning on the back of Violet’s chair "What else?"
"Why are you always so, I don’t know, domineering? It’s stressful, chill man." Rosa
said.
"He’s just like the Hulk, he’s always angry." Oliver said dragging a chair from another table over.. Jeremy sat in a bean bag a crossed from them but not
quite with them.
They sat discussing the party and how they’ll be lot’s of baked sweets and different meat. The brothers intended to invite their cousins, if they didn’t and they heard about even a small party, they be offended. And that’s drama they’d like
to avoid.
The bell rings and everyone gets heading to class.
"All right I’ll see you dear brothers at lunch, let’s go darling," Oliver said draping his arm around her.
He takes his arms back and sticks his hands in his pocket, "we took care of those girls. Just so you know. They won’t be around again."
"What do you mean?" Her eyes widened.
"They touched you. What do you think we would do?" Oliver asked.
"..." violent was silent, heart raced when she heard his words.
"Ash killed them. Drank them dry, they turned to stone and crumbled." Oliver said nonchalantly "They deserved worse in my opinion, I’d have given them to Riley."
"Oh, gosh no that’s, no. I’d never wish that on anyone." Violet shuddered thinking about him.
"Well, maybe last ceremony will be the last and I’ll never have to do another with him again." Violet said hopeful.
"Yeah, but I’ll be sad if you don’t up as my mate." Oliver said quietly looking up at the ceiling as they ascended the staircase.
Violet was feeling moved by his declaration.
"You know I consider you to be one of my best friends." Violet responded.
"I consider you to be my only friend honestly." Oliver said, "maybe that’s why I feel so attached to you, I can tell you anything." Oliver stopped at the corner of the stairwell. Tugging Violet and pushing her against the wall.
Violet winces from hitting the wall. Getting closer to her she flinches.
"You have no idea what you do to me, you drive my crazy, I just want to rip your clothes off bend you over and fuck you right here." Oliver was biting down hard trying to control himself.
Violet had settled into her role and knew what she was expected to do. "Well, do you want to skip class?"
Having him this close stirred something inside her, lighting her body on fire. His want of her was exciting her.
