Chapter 32: a side story with Rosa pt 2

Did that really just happen? Rosa thought to herself.

"I’m sorry" Violet apologized.

"Why are you sorry?" Rosa asked extremely confused.

"I don’t know, I guess for what just happened?" Violet answered quietly.

"There’s nothing for you to be sorry about, unless you regret it?" Rosa asked Violet worried that she did in fact regret it.

"OH! No I don’t regret it!" Violet confirmed, you could hear a bit of pain in her voice.

"Well, good cause I don’t either." Rosa said looking at her watch. "Shit, we’ve got to go or we’ll be late picking up my brother!"

Rosa jumped quickly out of bed and hurried to put on her pants and shoes. "Come on Violet, we gotta go."

"Oh, yes, of course." Violet said snapping out of a daze and she quickly puts her panties back on and straightens out her dress.

The two girls leave the house in almost a run, rushing to Rosa’s little brother’s school.

"When you meet him, you’re gonna think he’s so cute!" Said Rosa.

"I’m so excited, do you think he’ll like me?" Violet asked. She was nervous meeting new people, since she was a timid and shy girl.

"Violet, you’re like, the most adorable girl I’ve ever met. My little brother will love you, don’t worry." Rosa reassured Violet.

Waiting at the schools entrance they made it with 5 minutes to spare. The two girls panting and laughing from their run over to the school.

"Woooh, glad we made it." Rosa said, they both laughed.

The school bell dings and kids start running out of the entrance door. Flowing through the door they came out like water bursting through a dam. Each child eager to see their family and head home for the day.

"ROSA!" They hear a little boy scream, "Big Sis!" The little boy comes barreling into Rosa almost knocking her down entirely.

"Woah Aiden slow down! You’re gonna hurt someone running like that." Rosa embraces her little brother laughing together.

"Aiden, this is my best friend from school, Violet." Rosa said introducing them.

"Hi, Aiden" Violet says extending her hand.

The little boy gawked at Violet. She was so pretty. Her eyes were pink like watermelons he thought. Are as her hair, which was so long and shined like silk. He couldn’t speak at first feeling shy standing before such a pretty girl.

"You’re really pretty" Was all he said as he took a step closer standing more behind his big sister.

"Thanks,byou’re really handsome, how’s old are you?" Violet asked with that gentle smile

The boy showed 8 fingers to her.

"Oh wow, your 8? Such a big boy." Violet giggled extending her hand out "I hear you guys go to the park and get ice cream on cloudy days, mind if I join?"

The little boys eyes widened and sparkled when he heard Violet say that, he grabbed her hand and his sisters and lead them to their regular park.

The park visit was fun. The day was cool, the wind blew softly. Th park was filled with laughter and happiness as kids played. Rosa and Violet sat on a bench watching Aiden play tag with the other kids.

"This, this is why I wouldn’t change being a half blood." Rosa said letting out a long easy breath. "I get to have cloudy days with my brother. I can breathe easy and enjoy the sounds of birds singing. There are so many thing I can do that a full blooded vampire can’t."

"I get what you mean, before marrying into the Drakarys family, I went to day school and I had human friends. I didn’t leave home after school, most of my life was sheltered. But I didn’t know what I would be leaving behind when I started my new life with the Drakarys brothers. Sitting here with you, reminded me how much I love the sound of daylight." Violet began remembering times where she would sing and play at school in the sunlight on the field. When things were simpler and she didn’t have to worry about pleasing five different men.

"Thank you Rosa, today is the best day I’ve had in a long time. The full moon ceremony is tomorrow night and it will be this moment with you that I can hold on to." Violet said as she took in a deep inhale taking in all the smells of the park around her.

"What happens during the full moon ceremony, why do you make it sound like a death sentence?" Rosa was feeling concern for her dearest friend.

"It’s complicated." Violet tried to laugh it off.

"Tell me Violet." Rosa was getting serious with her tone.

Violet sighed and said "do you know the role of the maiden?"

"I know they’re the only ones who can give birth to other pure bloods. But that’s about it." Rosa answered.

"Yes, that’s true. Did you know I’m the only one?" Violet asked.

"No, but I never really thought about it. I don’t know much about the politics and lives of true blood and pure blood and full blood vampires. I live in the human world. I just attend a school of night, because my father insisted." Rosa said.

"Well I am, a long time ago, Maidens were more common. So pure bloods were able to

reproduce and they would marry and fall in love, it wasn’t like now." Violet started. "Most of the pure bloods alive have their Maiden still married to them or they’ve past away. So pure bloods are far and few between now, there’s only about 10 including the brothers. And there’s only 3 other Maidens, one being the mother of two of the prince’s. Because there’s one of me and five of them, well..." violet paused and got a bit uncomfortable with sharing the whole truth.

"I belong to all of them until I’m mated. I’m mated once I’m pregnant. The full moon ceremony, is designed to give me the highest probability of getting pregnant, so on the full moon I have sex with all five brothers. All of them f*ck me, drink from me, and fill my womb with their seed. I belong to all of them until one is able to claim me."

Tears start to swell in her eyes. "I belong to them. All five of them. It’s true what they say about me being a slut." And then the tears started to flow. Rosa was stunned, she heard the rumors about her sleeping with all of the brothers, but didn’t think it was true. It’s true, but not in the way people make it sound. ’Poor Violet’ Rosa thought.

"So tomorrow night, you’ll sleep with all of the brothers?" Rosa asked.

Violet covered her face and nodded.

"At the same time?" Rosa was nervous to ask because she was nervous of the answer.

Violet nodded again and sobbed. Rosa held her friend tight, letting her have a moment of sadness to herself. After a few minutes pass, Violet picks her head up and wipes her eyes. Forces her ever present smile back on to her face.

"Are you ready for ice cream because I am, I have to get back soon I’ll need to have time to sleep before the ceremony." Violet said

"Yeah let’s go." Rosa responded.

Violet, Rosa, and Aiden gather to leave the park, to go get ice cream. No one noticed the three wolves that had been watching them the whole time, from a distance.

All three hold hands and walk to Rosa’s. At the door they say their good byes and a car was waiting to take Violet home. She texted Ash on her way home to let him know and he sat on the steps waiting for the car to pull up. When Violet saw Ash sitting on the steps her heart filled with warmth, and all she wanted in this world was for him to wrap his arms around her. She rushed out of the car running right into Ash’s arms. He hold her tight and whispers in her ear, "I can smell her on you."
