BOOM!

Selene raised her hands—and ice surged.

An army of Ice Deer and Furious White Tigers exploded into existence.

The creatures marched forward like war itself, elegant and merciless, answering only to her command.

The captain of Fire Phoenix paled. Staring at the advancing monsters of frost, he stumbled back.

He muttered with a breaking voice, "Sir Kaelan... why in the hells did you anger the Ice Phoenix Princess?! They look like they’re about to rip us to shreds!"

Meanwhile—

Alex moved.

Thunder followed his steps.

Inside his mind:

White Alex, eyes glowing red, growled:

"Kill them. We want blood. Only blood can wash away this insult to our goddess."

Black Alex, nodded, arms crossed, said nothing.

He didn’t stop him this time.

Back in reality, that barely-restrained rage surged through Alex’s body.

And it showed.

Alex crossed the first column.

Then the second.

He lunged straight for the defender’s neck.

Caught off guard, the defender reacted on pure instinct—throwing up his arm like a shield.

Shhk—!

The twin daggers pierced flesh.

Alex ripped them back, fluid as water, then struck low.

Another lunge—

His blades slashed across the defender’s legs.

Squelch. Squelch.

Twin daggers plunged into both thighs.

A scream tore through the arena.

The sound was raw and painful.

A gasp followed from the spectators. Hands flew to mouths. Eyes widened.

"1 - Defender incapacitated."

Alex moved forward.

Cold. Silent.

Behind him, Selene followed—her Ice Army marching in perfect unison. Deer and tigers, claws dripping, eyes glowing.

The Fire Phoenix team began to tremble.

Shivers ran down their spines.

The arena no longer felt like a match.

It felt like a massacre.

All that echoed through the stadium were the endless screams.

And through it all, the crowd watched.

Silent.

On one side, a white-haired boy with bloodied daggers carved a path—legs, arms—precise and merciless.

On the other, an Ice Queen and her monstrous army played with their prey.

Ripping.

Letting them scream until they couldn’t anymore.

All this—because of one reckless man’s words.

Kaelan walked along his column casually, hands behind his head, unconcerned by the horror around him.

And then—

Alex appeared.

His daggers dripped red.

His white hair, streaked with crimson.

Specks of blood stained his pale, handsome face.

His dark violet eyes glowed hungry as he stepped into Kaelan’s path.

Kaelan smiled.

Still smug.

"Oh? Commoner trash was enjoying the meat of my teammates? That’s not fair..."

"Noble meat is more valuable than commoners."

Kaelan laughed, his twisted cackle echoing beneath the symphony of screams still lingering in the arena air.

Selene stepped forward, her presence like a blizzard given form.

Eyes cold as snow. Aura crackling with frost.

Her voice cut through the heat like a blade of ice:

"I’ll teach him a lesson myself."

Kaelan turned toward her, those shimmering blue eyes wide with mania.

His smile twisted as he purred:

"Oh, yes... If I want to claim you fully, I have to beat you into submission, don’t I, darling?"

Selene’s jaw tightened.

She lunged.

A whip of water cracked into existence in one hand—

Ice lances forming in the other, sharp as her fury.

WHIPPPPA—!

The whip snapped through the air like lightning.

Kaelan leaned aside at the last second—

But not fast enough.

Slash.

A thin line of red traced down his cheek.

Still grinning, he reached up, dragged a finger through the blood,

and licked it.

"First blood... drawn by my darkling," he whispered.

"Tastes sweet."

Then he came at her.

Hands ignited.

Fire dancing wildly across his arms.

Above him, tiny phoenixes of flame erupted, swirling down in a screeching blaze—

Like a storm of molten arrows.

Selene leapt back, snapped her fingers.

Her summoned beasts—Rose to protect her like an icy wall.

BOOM—!

The fire phoenixes struck.

In seconds, they were obliterated, turned to vapor.

The arena steamed.

Kaelan emerged through the mist, a devilish smile etched across his face.

"That’s it, darling?"

Selene fell to one knee, breathing hard, her elemental power nearly spent.

But she refused to fall.

Her voice trembled inside her mind:

"Eternal Frost Flame... lend me your strength. I need to reclaim my pride... and my honor."

A heartbeat of silence.

Then—

WHOOSH!

A frigid surge exploded from within her core.

Above her, the Ice Phoenix Avatar emerged.

Vast. Majestic. Ancient.

It shimmered like the oldest glacier, its wings trailing a frost so deep it felt like time itself had stopped.

Its body burned—not with heat, but with the sacred, untouchable cold of the Frost Flame.

The temperature plummeted.

Even the spectators in the highest rows felt the chill crawl into their bones.

Breath turned to mist. Teeth chattered.

The entire stadium held its breath.

Umpires’ eyes widened in alarm. They rushed the field, forming a protective circle.

From the VIP booth, teachers and the Principal leapt down in coordinated flight, their cloaks snapping as they prepared barriers to shield the innocent.

And still...

Kaelan laughed.

Wild. Unhinged.

"THAT’S MY DARLING!" he howled.

"hahahahaha I love it. I’ll match you."

His aura swelled. Crimson flared.

Love and madness twisted together, feeding the fire.

BOOOOM—!

Crimson fire burst from him like a volcano erupting from the deepest core.

It curled into shape, forming behind him—

The Fire Phoenix.

It soared upward, red as blood, wings fanned like living magma, eyes glowing with a predator’s hunger.

The ground bubbled beneath it.

The cold was replaced by an unbearable wave of heat, flames devouring oxygen itself.

The audience froze.

Will we survive this?

Will they stop in time?

Only Alex stood still, arms crossed, shadows dancing over his skin.

Black lightning crackled across his body.

Dark elemental energy wrapped around him like a cloak, shielding him from the growing inferno and the biting cold.

He said nothing.

Just watched.

Waiting.

And then—

THE PHOENIXES CLASHED.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

Ice and fire collided.

Red and blue surged together in a blinding storm.

A tidal wave of elemental chaos exploded, ripping apart the battle arena.

The stone floor cracked.

The stands quaked.

The first barrier shattered—CRACK!

The umpires cast another—broken instantly.

Then, the teachers raised theirs.

The Principal joined them, stabilizing it just in time.

The final shield held.

All teams hit the ground, crouching or laying flat on the Battle Arena floor, shielding themselves as best they could.

The elemental blast tore across the arena, but when it reached Selene—it dissipated. She felt only a whisper of heat, a faint breath of warmth.

But Kaelan—

He froze.

Like a man dropped into the heart of a glacier, his blood ran cold. His Fire Phoenix screeched, flaring wildly for a moment—then vanished, snuffed out like a candle in a storm.

It wasn’t real.

Just a projection.

A shallow imitation.

Selene’s, however...

Hers was real.

Hers was connected to the Eternal Frost Flame itself.

Kaelan’s knees buckled.

The so-called Burnt Boy turned blue.

He fell face-first onto the ground—stiff like an icicle.

The Ice Phoenix above gave a final screech before dissolving into flakes of glittering frost.

Selene exhaled sharply.

Her knees gave out—

But before she could fall—

Strong arms caught her.

She blinked up, meeting a pair of dark purple eyes.

He didn’t say a word.

She smiled faintly... and then her eyes fluttered closed.

Alex took her in a princess carry and crossed the last column.
