The First Cultivator - Changing Existence -
Chapter 831 - 831: New Arrivals - 831
From everything he had gathered, both from his trip to the future and these interactions, existence in the future was split into two realms. The Human realm and the Non Human realm.
That didn't 100% mean that there were no other species in the Human realm and no humans in the Non Human realm, but that the amount of mix was very, very little.
That was why the vast majority of enemies from the future had been humans.
This split was most likely caused by the combined power of Lord Lu and a few other powerful beings, perhaps a few from each of the realms. To keep these two realms away from each other almost entirely, it must be powerful.
He had also heard about some beings being able to come through now and then, but those seemed to be coincidences for the most part. To intentionally go through would surely be difficult, not to mention that they would find themselves in enemy territory.
Regardless, Zhou Fan continued to cultivate. Only by becoming stronger could he change anything. Soon, he reached the Peak of the Earth Immortal realm.
He began to push against the breakthrough. It would take many Sage Years, but he felt that there should be plenty of time.
A few Sage Years later, something happened. The clouds, which had remained dormant, began to shake. Then, different clouds appeared. These looked exactly the same as the original ones.
After a few thousand appeared all around the Universe, they began to move together. Eventually, they formed a spiral.
A large, pitch black, hairy hand reached out from within the spiral. Its hand mimicked the motion of holding something by its bottom.
"Great Demon holds the Heavens." A deep voice boomed.
The stable walls of the Universe began to shake, and some sort of artificial space began to appear within the Universe. It pushed on the walls of the Universe, moving them outward.
Eventually, the Universe was doubled in size, though not quality. It was clear that this artificial space was weak and fragile. It even had a lighter color.
It was also notable that the walls of the Universe affected by the artificial space were slowly closing in.
However, at the current speed, it would take hundreds, if not thousands of Sage Years to return to its normal size. In the meantime, the once sphere shaped Universe now resembled a peanut or a double scoop of ice cream.
This was the least of Zhou Fan's worries.
With the Universe expanded, the beings it could hold from the future almost doubled.
The spiral formed broke apart as the hand tried to leave, but it failed to completely do so in time, and half of a finger was chopped off. Zhou Fan could hear a roar of pain before the sound cut out. The clouds of time returned to their original positions, and in an instant, beings came through.
Each of them wore dark armor.
"It seems that the spy gave accurate information. How unbelievable. A path to the future. Too bad he died recently. He was extremely useful. Whoever did it won't be let off by anyone from the Vast realm."
Zhou Fan could tell at a glance that the being that spoke was very powerful, as well as not human. He could only assume he was from the Non Human realm. If his inference was correct, the beings of the Non Human realm referred to it as the Vast realm, at least those below a certain level of power. After all, how demoralizing would it be if your entire realm was named off of the fact that there were no humans within. Naming it that would be admitting that the Humans were the most supreme throughout the Universe.
That was just a guess of course.
The being looked around as other beings followed.
They each looked exactly the same, monkeys wearing dark armor. They held spears, but were not very humanoid.
Although the Human realm was named after humans, humanity as a whole could be described as humanoid races.
Even Zhou Fan would sometimes refer to Celestials and Heavenborns as Humans simply because of the little difference between the three races. Naturally, among the forces from the Human realm, there were no lack of the other two humanoid races and others, such as elves and mermaids.
These beings were not exactly humanoid, and therefore would naturally not be counted among those from the Human realm.
The being, just as powerful as the three Sect Masters of the main sects, soon spotted Zhou Fan.
At the same time, a few powerful beings from the future Human realm noticed that beings from the Non Human realm were entering.
They immediately stopped fighting those from the Origin Era and changed course. In mere moments, they led an attack on those from the Non Human realm.
The switch was incredibly instant. Zhou Fan activated the array around the Origin Civilization to keep everybody from the Origin Era in and those not from it out.
The two sides instantly began fighting with full force. Only the Celestial Emperor watched darkly from afar.
He began to release more of his strength. This was possible due to the expansion of the Universe.
The monkey clearly sensed it, and looked over in surprise. He waved his hand and something flew through one of the clouds of time.
The Celestial Emperor grew in power as fast as he could, but it was not a quick process.
The sealing had been deep and complicated in order to come back in time without destroying the Universe. Even he would need a few years to completely undo it, one of the risks of coming back in time.
After just a few hours, with countless beings pouring out from the clouds of time, a terrifying being appeared. Its cultivation was much higher than anybody else's, able to match the sealed Celestial Emperor.
Beings stopped coming through the clouds of time. This powerful being was the last. The Universe had once again reached its limit of beings from the future.
