Chapter 60: Chapter 60: Is Young Madam Huo at Home?

"Madam, there’s an urgent matter at the company. After President Huo drops off the Young Madam, he needs to rush back for work, so he said he won’t come in," Xia Xing said, masking the unease in his eyes and maintaining a nonchalant facade.

Chi Ying nodded slightly, appearing to believe him. She took Nan Yu’s hand and instructed, "Xiao Yu, you are now the Young Madam Huo. Take good care of yourself, and feel free to ask for anything you need without any reservations."

"Juanyan isn’t very talkative and might have a bit of a temper, but he is intrinsically good— a fine young man. I hope you can be tolerant and get along well with him."

Nan Yu smiled obediently, "I understand, Grandma."

Chi Ying then turned to Xia Xing with a stern look, "Take good care of the Young Madam on the way."

Xia Xing nodded, "Yes, Madam."

Nan Yu stood up and left with Xia Xing.

Using her cane, Chi Ying watched her step into the car, then smiled contentedly, "Xu Qi, is everything arranged at the wedding house?"

Xu Qi replied, "Madam, everything is arranged. The staff at the wedding house have been carefully selected and will regularly report on the relationship between the young master and the Young Madam."

Chi Ying nodded and walked back to the living room, "Keep a close watch, and report any issues to me."

Elsewhere.

As Nan Yu sat in the car, noticing only her and Xia Xing inside without the presence of Huo Juanyan, she fell silent for a few seconds.

Xia Xing, observing this in the rearview mirror, explained, "Miss Nan, President Huo is busy with urgent matters at the company and couldn’t come to pick you up, but the Madam specifically requested President Huo to come himself, so we had to say that."

He paused, then added, "Miss Nan, there will be many such situations in the next three months. It might be good for you to get accustomed to them early."

Nan Yu tilted her head towards the window and said softly, "In the future, you can tell the truth. There’s no need to hide things from Grandma; I’ll talk to her."

Xia Xing glanced at the cold expression on Nan Yu’s face and silently turned his attention back to driving.

Soon, they arrived at the wedding villa in South District.

As soon as the car door opened and before Nan Yu could step out, she heard a uniform voice.

"Welcome, Young Madam!"

Nan Yu turned her head and saw two rows of people standing at the entrance, led by a man and a woman.

The man, about fifty years old, wore a broad smile, his eyes nearly forming slits.

He approached Nan Yu, "Young Madam, I am the butler, Qi Ming."

He then pointed to the woman behind him, seemingly of similar age, and said, "This is Nanny Wang, who has watched the young master grow up since he was little and has always taken care of him in the old mansion."

The kindly-faced Nanny Wang smiled, "Good to meet you, Young Madam."

Qi Ming then pointed to the four other servants behind him, respectfully saying, "Young Madam, all of us have been specially selected by the Madam to look after you and the young master. If there are any demands or anything you are dissatisfied with, please feel free to tell us."

Nan Yu silently noted each person and nodded to them one by one.

"I appreciate your care from now on."

Nanny Wang, with a loud laugh, came forward and supported Nan Yu, "Young Madam, you’re just recovering from a serious illness. Let me help you inside to rest."

Nan Yu, slightly anxious, "I can walk on my own."

Once Nan Yu was inside, Xia Xing told Qi Ming, "Butler Qi, President Huo is busy with the company recently and won’t come here for a while. Please take extra care of the Young Madam."

Qi Ming, with a squinting smile, kindly responded, "Sure, please pass on to the young master that his work is tough. We will take good care of the Young Madam, and he should also take care of his health."

Xia Xing nodded, recording the message, and then drove away.

Qi Ming, still smiling, was about to head back inside the villa when a strange voice suddenly called from behind,

"Butler Qi, wait a moment."

Turning around in confusion, Qi Ming saw the Song Family’s butler, Fang Han, standing expressionlessly not far away, holding something unidentifiable.

"Butler Qi, is the Young Madam Huo at home?"
