Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Nan Qingqing Invites the Ghost Doctor
"Big brother, does Doctor Li work at many hospitals?"
Nan Zhou asked, expressing his deepest doubts.
Nan Zhuoyuan nodded and said, "He does. Dean Li is a highly skilled doctor, and with his benevolent heart, he has agreed to several hospitals. He has said that whenever they face an especially complex medical condition that they cannot handle, they can call him over, and he will do his utmost to save every patient."
A feeling of admiration arose in Nan Zhou’s heart for Doctor Li; to have such enlightenment at such a young age was no surprise given her high level of medical expertise.
"Big brother, you’ve also been tired all day. Doctor Li will probably take another half hour. You should go rest on the seventh floor first."
Nan Zhuoyuan rubbed his tired nose bridge and nodded, "Azhou, if there are any problems, notify me immediately. I will go downstairs and see if the other doctors might have a better treatment plan."
Nan Zhou acknowledged this with a soft, "Okay, big brother."
After Nan Zhuoyuan left, this time Nan Zhou didn’t continue to crouch at the door, peeping through the crack watching over Nan Yu. Instead, he sat on the cold bench outside the ward.
He sat upright, his back perfectly straight, like a living Buddha sitting there, guarding the ward, forbidding any demons or ghosts from disturbing them.
Half an hour passed quickly.
Inside the ward, Nan Yu removed the Silver Needle from Duan Zhu’s body one by one, then examined the gunshot wound and the knife wound on her abdomen.
After ensuring that the hospital had handled them well, Nan Yu covered Duan Zhu with a blanket, leaned down, and whispered in her ear, "Mom, rest well. I will come to see you again tomorrow."
She stood up, gathered her things, and walked out of the ward.
Upon exiting, she saw Nan Zhou sitting at the door, like a guardian deity.
Nan Yu took the prescription she had written from her pocket, along with detailed instructions, and handed them to Nan Zhou.
"Fourth Young Master, this is the prescription I have written for the lady. Please make sure they follow these instructions to administer her medication."
Nan Zhou received the densely written prescription paper, filled with her neat, delicate handwriting, and his admiration for Nan Yu deepened.
"Doctor Li, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule today to come and perform acupuncture on my mother. I don’t know when you will be coming next, but I can arrange everything in advance, so no one will disturb you."
Nan Yu glanced at the time. "Tomorrow night at ten, I will come again."
Nan Zhou readily agreed, "Okay, no problem."
Nan Yu put her hands back into her pockets, concealing the tremble of her fingertips, "Okay, I will go now."
Nan Zhou followed her, "Doctor Li, I will arrange someone to take you back."
Nan Yu pressed the elevator button and shook her head. "I need to go back to the acupuncture department for a follow-up with another patient, no need to send me off."
With that, she entered the elevator alone.
Nan Zhou was about to squeeze in, wanting to talk more with Nan Yu, when the elevator beside them suddenly opened, followed by the sound of Nan Zhuoyuan’s voice.
"Azhou, Qingqing has invited the Ghost Doctor over. Has Doctor Li finished with the acupuncture?"
Upon hearing the words "Ghost Doctor," a hint of surprise flashed in Nan Zhou’s eyes. Before he could look over, he saw the elevator doors in front of him closing.
He immediately whispered to the bodyguard beside him, "Please escort Doctor Li for me."
Then he turned his head toward the other elevator and said, "Big brother, Doctor Li just took the elevator down."
As he spoke, Nan Zhou respectfully and politely faced the Ghost Doctor.
In the elevator, Nan Zhuoyuan stood on the right, Nan Qingqing on the left, and in between them, a woman wearing a black cheongsam and a smiling mask.
The woman stepped out of the elevator with an air of arrogance, her chin slightly raised, and coldly asked, "Where is Duan Zhu?"
Absolute regal aura radiated from her.
