Chapter 95 Chloe Sharp’s Bad Romance
Chapter 95: Chapter 95 Chloe Sharp’s Bad Romance
Alicia Sharp was instantly intrigued and pulled Scarlett Jennings aside to inquire carefully.
As she asked, she didn’t forget to take out her phone to check the latest activity of that wealthy playboy.
Ever since he began pursuing Chloe Sharp, Alicia had been directly following his account.
Now, upon checking, she saw that this playboy’s latest post was a photo from a bar, where he was holding a girl closely.
Photos like this were not uncommon with him.
But she remembered that when he was pursuing Chloe Sharp a few days ago, he had significantly restrained himself, even posting ordinary things.
Now, seeing such a blatant intimate photo with a girl, it seemed like he had given up.
Alicia was puzzled.
Scarlett then looked at the photo on Alicia’s phone following her gaze.
Seeing the man in the photo, she paused for a moment,
"This guy isn’t her toxic relationship."
Alicia was clearly surprised by this statement, unable to believe she had misjudged the situation,
"Not? But he was indeed crazily pursuing Chloe Sharp a few days ago."
Scarlett pursed her lips and suddenly asked,
"Do you have this person’s birth date?"
Upon hearing this, Alicia directly pulled up the playboy’s information introduction, which included his birth date. She had heard that the Mystical Sect needed the eight characters of birth for their analysis, and asked uncertainly,
"Will this work?"
Scarlett nodded, glanced at the birth date, and very easily deduced the birth data. Though she couldn’t get the exact hour, it was sufficient.
Taking the playboy’s birth data, Scarlett did a simple calculation, and then said,
"This person indeed isn’t your sister’s toxic relationship, but has a karmic connection with her significant other."
This meant the two might know each other, and there was even a possibility of a contentious relationship.
Alicia’s own family wasn’t peaceful, and her mindset wasn’t as simple as the typical wealthy lady. Just hearing Scarlett’s words, she subconsciously thought of a two-men-fighting-for-one-woman scenario.
Also, it was highly likely that this playboy held a grudge against Chloe Sharp’s toxic relationship and intended to intervene because he saw Chloe Sharp with the toxic person.
He just didn’t succeed.
Such things weren’t uncommon in their circle.
Alicia didn’t think much of it, just feeling it benefited Chloe Sharp slightly.
"You just said her romantic luck is quite strong, does that mean she’s already involved with that toxic person?"
Scarlett nodded.
Alicia hadn’t expected Chloe Sharp’s toxic relationship to develop right under her nose, so she pulled out her phone again, quickly tapping as if getting ready to set up a trap to find that toxic relationship.
Scarlett completely understood Alicia’s "enthusiastic attitude."
After all, if there was a show involving Isolde Garrison, she would rush over to watch immediately too.
...
Chloe Sharp didn’t know her stepsister was concerned about her love interest, and seeing it was about time, she went to her adoptive parents, gave them a casual excuse, and left early.
After leaving the Jennings Family, she didn’t go straight home but detoured to an apartment in downtown.
Pressing the doorbell, she deliberately adjusted her hairstyle; not long after, the door opened, and a fair, handsome young man of about twenty appeared.
The youth looked gentle yet retained warmth, akin to a popular idol.
In fact, he was indeed in the entertainment circle.
This year, he debuted through a trainee variety show. Though not particularly popular, he accumulated quite a few female fans.
Chloe Sharp had followed this variety show back then, though the person she followed wasn’t him.
She remembered arranging a backstage photo op with her sister during the recording of the variety show through their father.
Dashiell Xalvadora happened to be one of those she accidentally took photos with then.
Because of this serendipity, Chloe quickly clicked with him when they met coincidentally in real life.
For girls, fate is often inexplicable.
What made Chloe quickly fall for Dashiell was his attitude towards her.
Despite being a rising idol, he did not hide his affection for her. Thinking back to the ambiguous atmosphere when they met again, Chloe’s heart raced.
Dashiell showed a bit of surprise when he saw Chloe, and even a flash of panic in his eyes, though he tried hard to control it,
"Madison, why are you here? Didn’t you mention... there was a party tonight?"
Chloe replied, "I just wanted to see you!"
As she spoke, she pouted playfully, "What, you’re not happy to see me? Then I’ll leave."
As she pretended to leave, her arm was immediately grabbed from behind.
The man’s warm hand held her delicate wrist unabashedly, and Chloe felt a heat rising from where their skin met, her ears burning red.
"Madison, you know that’s not what I meant."
Dashiell’s voice naturally carried a magnetic quality, and lowering it intentionally made it even more tender. Paired with his handsome face, Chloe’s anger faded instantly.
She lifted her leg to walk inside but was unexpectedly blocked by Dashiell, who usually treated her gently and indulgently. A moment of hesitation appeared on his face.
Chloe, deeply infatuated with Dashiell, became extremely sensitive to everything about him.
"You don’t want me to come in? Is someone inside?"
Her voice was no longer sweet but carried a hint of annoyance.
Before Dashiell could speak, Chloe pushed past him and entered.
"Madison!"
The apartment was small enough to be seen at a glance.
No one was inside, just freshly baked cookies on the kitchen counter.
Dashiell couldn’t help but smile wryly, his tone mixed with slight embarrassment,
"I... I was planning to bring you cookies I made myself tomorrow, but I was afraid you’d think men who bake are too feminine, so I hesitated..."
Dashiell bowed his head slightly, his fair face showing some embarrassment and chagrin at being caught.
Recalling Dashiell’s surprised look, Chloe understood immediately.
All grievances and dissatisfaction disappeared, replaced by the realization that this man made cookies just for her.
Previously, she would have thought a man baking was unmanly.
But people tend to have different standards for those they like.
Now, she felt touched by his heartfelt act.
Chloe’s demeanor softened almost instantly.
"I don’t think that at all."
Chloe, speaking up, took his hand and locked her fingers with his.
"I love eating the cookies you bake."
Hearing this, Dashiell’s eyes seemed to glimmer with light, looking at Chloe with increasing affection.
"The cookies need to cool. Why don’t we go for a walk?"
Chloe was about to ask why go out when he added,
"The place’s full of cookie scent; it wouldn’t be good if it sticks to you."
Upon hearing that, Chloe, reluctant to mix the baked goods’ aroma with her perfume, didn’t object further.
They quickly donned masks and stepped outside.
But just as Dashiell left, his eyes flicked towards the master bedroom, with a hint of coldness in their depths.
Inside the master bedroom, a girl was tied up, her mouth gagged with tape, full of despair as she looked towards the door. When the door closing was heard, tears finally fell.
"Mmm mmm mmm!!"
