Chapter 1454 - Chapter 1454 Chapter 1552 Waiting for Someone
Chapter 1454: Chapter 1552: Waiting for Someone Chapter 1454: Chapter 1552: Waiting for Someone “Hall Master, let me do it,” the man in the White Fox mask persuaded.
The red-haired woman shook her head, her eyes full of anticipation as she watched the sky from beneath her Kylin mask.
“Sky Swallowing Palace, you’ve crossed the boundary,” a sonorous voice rang out. Above them in the firmament appeared a flying Demon Beast, huge in size with wings spread wide enough to block out the sun.
The Demon Beast had pitch-black wings but a white body, with each feather sharply defined, radiating thick Demon Qi throughout its being.
On the back of this flying beast stood a middle-aged man in simple gray robes, with a distinctly average face that would not stand out in a crowd.
Yet it was this seemingly ordinary middle-aged man who was able to ride such an impressive Demon Beast, clearly indicating his exceptional ability.
The middle-aged man had a black dot on his forehead, the size of a grain of rice, which could be easily seen due to his fair complexion.
“Black Winged Roc, what an Ancient Blood Demon Beast!” exclaimed the man in the White Fox mask, his eyes lighting up with interest at the sight of the Black Winged Roc beneath the middle-aged man’s feet.
“Now you finally show yourselves, saving me the trouble of looking for you,” the red-haired woman said, flicking her fingers, and a silent zither note vibrated through the air, slashing across the sky.
The Black Winged Roc seemed uneasy, but the middle-aged man leaped into the air and with a palm strike, blocked the zither note.
“Sky Swallowing Palace Hall Master, such a skillful move, but taking on Hidden Kill Hall is unwise,” the middle-aged man said in mid-air, gazing at the two figures atop the snowy peak.
“Ridiculous,” the red-haired woman responded, and instantly a series of red glows cascaded around her, like sharp red blades attacking the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man caught all the incoming red blades, frowning involuntarily.
“If this is all you’re capable of, then you may as well stay,” said the red-haired woman with a shake of her head, her hand casually reaching out.
Boom!!!!
A gigantic palm thundered down from the depths of the sky, trapping the middle-aged man with no escape to the heavens above or the earth below.
The Black Winged Roc, terrified, fled in panic, obviously quite frightened.
The middle-aged man struck out with several palms, black Palm Impressions heading toward the gigantic palm, attempting to shatter it.
But no matter how many palm strikes hit, not one could shake the giant palm. The middle-aged man’s heart skipped a beat, and he immediately slapped the Nine Palace Bag at his waist, grasping a slender black blade in his hand.
Buzz!
The black blade drew a dark glow, as if even the space itself shattered under its strike.
A crack suddenly appeared on the immense palm, wounded by the black blade.
Seeing his attack was effective, the middle-aged man continued to swing the black blade in his hand, trying to break free from the giant palm.
Boom!!!!
With a loud noise, the giant palm was finally destroyed. Just as the middle-aged man was about to retreat, a cold hand pressed onto his shoulder.
The middle-aged man was shocked, turning to see a Kylin mask and the billowing blood-like red hair.
“Leave one arm, and you may crawl away,” came the indifferent voice from beneath the mask. Then the man’s arm exploded into dust, bones and all.
The middle-aged man, in pain, remained silent, his gaze darkly fixed upon the red-haired woman in front of him, with the black dot between his eyebrows flickering incessantly.
“You think you can use forbidden techniques in front of me? Insects!” The red-haired woman slammed her palm onto the face of the middle-aged man, nearly knocking him unconscious, and the black spot on his forehead also subsided into silence.
“You are indeed seeking your own death.” The middle-aged man, holding his severed arm, uttered a sentence.
The red-haired woman paid him no heed, turning around and disappearing into the snowstorm.
The middle-aged man clenched his teeth, wanting to return to the back of the Black Winged Roc. When he turned his head, he almost died of anger–the White Fox masked person had already taken hold of his mount, and its throat had been bitten through.
“Damn it!” The middle-aged man really wanted to attack the White Fox masked person, but after some thought, he ultimately suppressed his anger. Glancing at the corpse of the giant man who had already stopped breathing below, he finally left the place, seething with rage.
The White Fox masked person, holding onto the Black Winged Roc, also headed deep into the Extreme North Land.
The man with the Wolf Head Mask had already disappeared without a trace below.

Inside the Sky Swallowing Palace, the red-haired woman sat on an icy seat, her thoughts dwelling on someone.
A zither appeared before her.
The woman played the zither, the sound melodious and pleasing to the ear, not particularly sorrowful or desolate, but instead, it carried a bit of cheerfulness.
Outside the hall stood several figures, listening to the zither music coming from within, none of them speaking, just silently listening.
Ancient Demon Ridge, the place in the Nine Countries that no real powerhouse dares to enter, for within this ridge, there are many formidable ancient demonic beasts and even the current world’s strongest, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, is seated here.
The Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree is the most important object for the Demon Clan, and also one of the most mysterious existences in the heavens and earth. Even the revered Demon Saint can hardly see through the true secrets of the Sacred Tree.
At this moment, under the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree, there are two things.
These are two bones; not human bones, but Demon Bones.
One is as dark as ink, radiating black light, and the other as white as the bright moon, pulsating with white light.
These two bones–one black and one white–would surely incite envy to the point of insanity in other martial artists, for they are two of the most precious Demon Bones beneath the heavens.
The power of the Sacred Tree continuously purifies these two Demon Bones. With every purification, the vitality of the Demon Bones becomes even more resplendent.
But after all, it is only the vitality of the Demon Bones themselves that is rejuvenated, with no other life awakening upon them.
Not far away, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven sat on a tree branch, holding a rosy, plump peach, biting into it while fixating on the situation under the Sacred Tree.
“Kid, are you really beyond salvation?” the Great Sage Equal to Heaven murmured to himself, biting into the peach. Although the peach was red and sizable, it was tasteless in his mouth.
He wondered if it was the peach that lacked flavor, or if it was his heart that lacked flavor.
These two bones had been placed under the Sacred Tree for seven years already. During these seven years, the Sacred Tree’s purification of the bones had never ceased, but sadly, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven had not seen the result he desired.
Three days later, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven opened his eyes from meditation. Although he was already known as the first under heaven, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven had not ceased cultivating, always becoming stronger.
“Hm?” The Great Sage Equal to Heaven suddenly looked towards the two bones under the tree, his brow slightly furrowing, his eyes surrounded by a golden light.
“Is it my imagination?” the Great Sage Equal to Heaven murmured, yet his heart was somewhat excited and anticipatory.
A faint heartbeat quietly began in the black Demon Bone.
