The sudden stare from Fang Lin startled the Crane Hair Taoist, who felt his heart flutter with panic. His power was even less than Wang Linlang’s; and if even Wang Linlang had his heart ripped out, he feared he would stand no chance against the crazed Fang Lin at this moment.

A savage grin spread across Fang Lin’s face, interwoven with traces of blood, giving him a somewhat fierce and eerie appearance that involuntarily sent chills down one’s spine.

“Old guy, your heart is probably even older, and I’m not interested!” Fang Lin laughed heartily, startling the Crane Hair Taoist, but then he noticed that Fang Lin didn’t charge at him but instead rushed straight toward the Seven Stars Tower nearby.

The power Fang Lin had exchanged with his life forces couldn’t be sustained for long. He had to rescue Dugu Nian in the shortest time possible and then break out of this tight encirclement.

Although it seemed almost impossible, there was still hope in Fang Lin’s eyes; he hadn’t given up in his heart.

“You cannot get close to this tower,” a white-robed Taoist blocked Fang Lin’s path with an exceptionally cold countenance.

“Get out of my way!” Fang Lin shouted angrily. Lifting the White Bone Dragon Spear high, he plunged it straight at the white-robed Taoist.

The Taoist in white stayed motionless, showing no intention of dodging. As the White Bone Dragon Spear descended upon him in a flash, he simply stretched out a hand and easily grabbed Fang Lin’s White Bone Dragon Spear.

The White Bone Dragon Spear’s descent halted abruptly. Fang Lin exerted all his strength, but he still couldn’t move the spear even an inch further.

“A rather impressive strength, much stronger than the average Great Longevity Ones, but sadly, the more power you use now, the faster you will die,” the Taoist in white remarked blandly, his tone containing a trace of admiration.

Fang Lin sneered, “You seem quite at ease, eh?”

The white-robed Taoist smiled faintly, “Barely.”

As the words fell, the Taoist suddenly furrowed his brow, sensing an abrupt surge in Fang Lin’s strength.

The White Bone Dragon Spear creaked loudly, creeping closer to the white-robed Taoist by a little more, leaving just a three-inch distance from his face.

Fang Lin let out a dull, low growl, his eyes blazing red, as he poured out all his strength.

One inch!!!

The Taoist in white finally took on a serious expression, unlike his previously relaxed demeanor. Confronting Fang Lin’s power, even a strong Taoist sect practitioner like him had to put forth his full effort, or else he risked capsizing in a gutter.

This final inch, like a chasm between worlds, made Fang Lin feel powerless and a bit helpless.

Both men exerted their full power, and the White Bone Dragon Spear suddenly snapped with a crack, but Fang Lin reacted swiftly, executing the Heaven Step and stamping directly toward the Taoist’s face.

The white-robed Taoist pointed a finger, hitting precisely the bottom of Fang Lin’s foot. Instantly, it felt as though a sharp sword had pierced his foot, leaving behind a bloody hole through which fresh blood flowed.

Despite this, Fang Lin recklessly continued, and his foot ultimately did stomp on the body of the white-robed Taoist, sending him flying through the air.

The pure white robe of the Taoist, untainted until now, was stained with the blood gushing from Fang Lin’s foot, which added a touch of tragic beauty.

Fang Lin kicked the white-robed Taoist away and without tending to the wound on his foot, pushed the Nine Heavens Step Skill to its limit and in an instant, arrived before the Seven Stars Tower.

Staring at the towering Seven Stars Tower before him, Fang Lin didn’t hesitate, concentrating all his strength into his fists.

Both fists struck out fiercely against the Seven Stars Tower.

For a moment, the Seven Stars Tower shook violently, and the glow of the tower itself seemed to dim substantially.

“You’ve already reached a dead end. There’s no use in struggling further; it will only add to your pain,” said the White-Robed Taoist, his Moon Flowing Sword still sheathed.

“I’ll fucking stab you to death!” Fang Lin replied crudely, wielding the ancient spear and launching a direct attack without any fancy moves – a desperate thrust aimed straight at the White-Robed Taoist.

The White-Robed Taoist shook his head. Just as he was about to counter Fang Lin’s reckless offensive, he was caught off guard by a feint. It wasn’t an attack on him but rather, Fang Lin viciously threw the ancient spear directly at someone not far away.

That person was the emaciated Crane Hair Taoist who was participating in the siege of the thousand-year-old Corpse Ginseng.

“Watch out!” The White-Robed Taoist hastily warned. The Crane Hair Taoist, quick to react to the whistling sound of an approaching threat, glanced back and swiftly dodged to the side.

“Like hell you’ll run! Did I say you could go?” the thousand-year-old Corpse Ginseng snapped, grabbing the Crane Hair Taoist and refusing to let go.

The emaciated Crane Hair Taoist struggled in vain. As he was struck with horror, the spear reached him from behind.

Thud!!!

The ancient spear pierced straight through the back of the Crane Hair Taoist’s skull, mashing his entire head into pulp.

The thousand-year-old Corpse Ginseng was also struck by the spear, but its hide was thick and tough, like an immovable rotten rock, impervious to harm from the spear.

As for the Crane Hair Taoist, he never expected such a turn of events, and a momentary lapse led to his gruesome death.

A Great Longevity Taoist, dead in such a humiliating way. Sadly, he perished, executed by Fang Lin’s spear, his head shattered entirely. Not even a Great Longevity Taoist could survive such a fate.

The thousand-year-old Corpse Ginseng took the spear in one hand and violently flung the magical tree with the other.

“This item is strange!” Realizing the danger, the White-Robed Taoist dared not risk his Moon Flowing Sword any longer and quickly retreated.

Both the thousand-year-old Corpse Ginseng and Fang Lin were injured by the Sword Qi released when the Moon Flowing Sword was drawn. The Corpse Ginseng was fine, but Fang Lin’s Kylin battle armor was heavily damaged. He now bore several sword marks, blood flowing and staining most of his body red.
