Chapter 1324 - Chapter 1324 Chapter 1423 Tiger-headed Man

Chapter 1324: Chapter 1423: Tiger-headed Man Chapter 1324: Chapter 1423: Tiger-headed Man Within the mountain ravine, Fang Lin walked alongside Yin Wuyan, the golden-haired puppy perching on Fang Lin’s shoulder, idly yawning out of boredom.

From time to time, Yin Wuyan reached out trying to play with the golden-haired puppy, however, the puppy seemed indifferent towards Yin Wuyan. Even when Yin Wuyan stretched her finger to touch its nose, the puppy would just tilt its little head away, apparently not fond of Yin Wuyan.

Yin Wuyan did not mind much, though. The more she looked at the little creature, the more charming she found it. If not for the fact that the golden-haired puppy belonged to Fang Lin, she would have taken it for herself long ago.

At this moment, Yin Wuyan was already contemplating how to get her hands on the golden-haired puppy.

Fang Lin glanced sideways at Dugu Nian and said coldly, “You’d better not get any ideas about it.”

Yin Wuyan replied seriously, “I am not. I merely find it attractive. As a member of the three sect, I wouldn’t engage in the likes of stealing or skullduggery.”

Fang Lin cracked a cold smile, “Three sect? Cultivated in propriety and manners, but I wonder if you really are as you appear or just a facade?”

Yin Wuyan’s face filled with dissatisfaction, “As a person of the three sect, cultivating the Hao Qi of heaven and earth, of course, my inner self reflects my outer self.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Lin just chuckled disdainfully twice, not saying much more, but the mockery in his laughter was evident even to a fool.

Yin Wuyan snorted and stopped paying attention to the golden-haired puppy, but she couldn’t help stealing glances at it, her fondness growing uncontrollably.

Walking for a while, the two had delved deeper into the mountain ravine. There was a particularly conspicuous stone pillar standing there, which seemed suspicious regardless of how one looked at it.

“It seems that the Array Eye is this stone pillar,” Fang Lin remarked.

Yin Wuyan’s fine eyebrows furrowed slightly as she looked around, sensing that something about the place was off.

Fang Lin took a step forward, intending to approach the stone pillar, but he suddenly halted his advance, his expression changing, and he refrained from any rash actions.

At the same time, the golden-haired puppy perched on Fang Lin’s shoulder suddenly let out a loud bark, emitting a low growl and jumping off of Fang Lin’s shoulder.

Fang Lin watched the golden-haired puppy in astonishment, never having seen it so angry before.

“What’s wrong with it?” asked Yin Wuyan, her voice tinged with confusion.

Fang Lin did not speak, his eyes blazing with an intense sharpness as his unease grew stronger still.

A gentle breeze blew causing the little bell at Yin Wuyan’s waist to chime, its crisp and pleasant ring seemingly carrying a warning.

Whoosh–

A sudden gust of wind swept through, causing Fang Lin and Yin Wuyan to sway slightly. Both released their energies to resist the fierce wind.

Fang Lin attempted to catch the golden-haired puppy to prevent it from getting hurt, but the puppy dodged Fang Lin’s hand, baring its teeth, which were not particularly sharp, and growling towards something in front.

“Be careful, something powerful has shown up,” the Old Dried Corpse spoke up at that moment, reminding Fang Lin to be cautious.

Fang Lin nodded. The golden-haired puppy’s peculiar behavior along with the Old Dried Corpse’s warning confirmed that indeed there was something unusual about this place.

Once the gust of wind had passed, there stood a figure in front of the stone pillar.

To be precise, it was not a person, but a monster.

This monster had the body of a human but the head of a black tiger, and its limbs were exceptionally sturdy, exuding a powerful aura all over.

Upon seeing this tiger-headed man, Fang Lin’s face changed instantly. Yin Wuyan was the same, feeling an incredible sense of shock because she had spent her life in the Seven Seas and the three sects without ever encountering such a creature. The Demon Beast didn’t look like a Demon Beast, and the human likewise didn’t look like a human.

The golden-haired dog was lying on the ground, its deep growls becoming stronger as if it could pounce on the tiger-headed man at any moment.

Fang Lin also noticed that in the eyes of the golden-haired dog, there was a deep disgust, as if it had a strong aversion to the tiger-headed creature.

The tiger-headed man did not show any fear of the golden-haired dog, unlike other Demon Beasts.

“A Variant Demon Beast, maybe? But it seems different from the usual Variant Demon Beasts,” Fang Lin frowned and said.

“What is this thing? Why is it so disgusting?” Yin Wuyan looked towards Fang Lin, thinking he knew.

Fang Lin shook his head: “I don’t know either, but it looks like it won’t let us leave here easily.”

The tiger-headed man looked at Fang Lin, Yin Wuyan, and the golden-haired dog, the craziness evident in its tiger eyes, and suddenly charged towards them.

Fang Lin wanted to take action, but then the golden-haired dog let out a sky-shaking roar, making the ground tremble violently.

The tiger-headed man was stunned for a moment but then became even more frenzied as it charged towards the golden-haired dog, its tiger claws fully revealed.

The golden-haired dog showed a ferocious expression, completely devoid of its usual silly demeanor, as a terrible aura burst forth from it.

Boom!!!

The tiger-headed man reeled back as if struck by a heavy blow, letting out a deafening roar.

Fang Lin and Yin Wuyan both covered their ears, feeling extremely uncomfortable. Both were out of sorts, especially Fang Lin, whose injuries hadn’t healed. The tiger roar had shaken him so much that he nearly spat out blood.

It was not until that moment that Fang Lin and Yin Wuyan realized that the tiger-headed man was incredibly strong, at least possessing the strength of a Giant Demon King.

Most importantly, this tiger-headed man was not afraid of the golden-haired dog. If it were any other Demon Beast, confronted with such a mighty aura, it would have already been scared to the ground.

After being pushed back by the golden-haired dog, the red light in the eyes of the tiger-headed man surged violently, charging at the golden-haired dog again with the ferocity of a tiger descending the mountain.

Although Fang Lin didn’t want the golden-haired dog to fall into danger, he couldn’t intervene at the moment. The tiger-headed man was too strong, and if he stepped forward now, he feared he would be torn apart by a swipe of its paw.

Without reaching the realm of Spirit Source, it was impossible to contend with a Giant Demon King, especially since this tiger-headed man was stronger than the usual Giant Demon Kings.

Outside of the mountain ravine, the woman in the black robe, hearing the noises inside, knew that things were proceeding as she had anticipated.

“Next, we’ll see if the tiger-headed man can kill the two of them. If the tiger-headed man also fails, then there’s nothing to be done but let them go,” the woman in the black robe said to herself.

The tiger-headed man approached, swiping its paw viciously towards the golden-haired dog. If this claw landed properly, the small body of the golden-haired dog would likely be torn into pieces in an instant.

Fang Lin’s heart leaped with concern, fearing any harm might come to the golden-haired dog.

Just then, a brilliant light emanated from the golden-haired dog, and a golden radiance shot up to the sky.

The tiger-headed man was also enveloped by the golden light, letting out a piercing, miserable scream.
