Chapter 1251 - Chapter 1251 Chapter 1350 Who is Lying
Chapter 1251: Chapter 1350: Who is Lying? Chapter 1251: Chapter 1350: Who is Lying? The green-robed woman cursed Fang Lin in her heart. She had laid all her cards on the table and had not told a single lie, yet this boy actually didn’t believe her?
By this time, the green-robed woman could feel heat all over her body, especially between her legs, which made her feel so sensitive that her entire body was weak and powerless.
“I have not spoken a word of falsehood, give me the antidote now, or I will never let you go!” the green-robed woman lay on the ground and said weakly, her eyes barely able to open, exhaling like an orchid, almost lost in delirium.
Seeing this, Fang Lin knew that the green-robed woman was not lying; she had indeed revealed everything she knew.
“Don’t worry, the effects of the medicine will pass in a moment; you won’t suffer any serious harm,” Fang Lin said indifferently and then turned to leave.
The green-robed woman lay dazed on the ground for a while, the strange sensations on her body gradually fading, and her face no longer burning hot like before.
The green-robed woman was filled with hatred; she gritted her teeth wishing she could tear Fang Lin to pieces for mocking her and exposing her embarrassing state.
However, the green-robed woman also felt a secret sense of relief. Fortunately, what Fang Lin had fed her was not a genuine “passion elixir”. If it had been, she shuddered to think what state she might be in now.
But the green-robed woman also came back to her senses now, realizing that she had revealed to Fang Lin the true purpose of the three sect’s experts’ visit to Qian Country, essentially leaking the secrets of the three sects. If the high ranks of the three sects were to find out, even if she could live to escape back, she would not be spared a severe punishment.
The more she thought about it, the more lost the green-robed woman felt, completely unsure of what to do now.
As for Fang Lin, after interrogating the green-robed woman in this special way, he then released the white-robed Daoist who had been kept in another secret chamber.
Upon appearing, the white-robed Daoist saw no sign of the green-robed woman; there was only a touch of confusion in his eyes, and little else changed.
“That woman has already spoken; now, it’s your turn,” Fang Lin pulled over a chair and said to the white-robed Daoist.
Upon hearing this, the white-robed Daoist’s expression remained calm, and he even smiled slightly: “This old Daoist knows nothing; my being sent here was entirely at the behest of that woman.”
Fang Lin nodded, “If that’s the case, there’s no use keeping you. Holding you here would just take up space; it’s better to kill you to settle the matter.”
As he spoke, Fang Lin produced a short sword in his hand and strode towards the white-robed Daoist.
The white-robed Daoist’s face remained unmoved, his heart filled with disdain.
Kid, you are merely brandishing a sword to scare me; surely you didn’t get anything useful from that woman’s mouth, so now you’re trying to start on me. I’ve seen much of the world; how could you frighten me?
Thinking this, the white-robed Daoist was convinced that Fang Lin would not dare to truly strike him. When Fang Lin approached, the old fellow even smiled at Fang Lin.
Fang Lin also cracked a smile and then plunged the knife into his chest.
The Daoist was stunned by the attack. Are you serious, boy? Do you really want to stab me to death?
“Alas, I have always been quite kind, but since you are so indifferent to life and death, I will grant your wish. I’ve heard that your Taoist Sect speaks of ascension. Today, I will send you off to ascend,” Fang Lin said, pulling the short sword out of the chest of the white-robed Daoist and then thrust it into his abdomen.
With these two stabs, blood gurgled out, the white robes of the Daoist dyed red in an instant.
The old fellow’s face turned deathly pale, his eyes full of horror; he had not expected Fang Lin to be serious. While these two stabs wouldn’t kill him, a few more to vital places in his body, might indeed be dangerous.
“Don’t, don’t, don’t, let’s talk it out, don’t kill me!” The old Taoist finally became scared and hurriedly begged for mercy.
Fang Lin looked at him with confusion, “Weren’t you unafraid of death? Why are you begging for mercy now?”
The elderly Taoist in white had a twisted expression on his face and cursed inwardly, but he didn’t dare to speak harshly for fear that Fang Lin would give him another couple of cuts.
“Our Taoist Sect’s founding master once said, ‘it’s better to cling to a bad life than to die a good death,’ so we in the Taoist Sect have always cherished our lives, unlike the Confucian and Buddhist Sects, who treat their lives like child’s play,” said the old Taoist in white, his expression incredibly earnest.
Fang Lin sneered, “Did your Taoist Sect’s founding master really say that? Or is it just something you, the unfilial disciple of the Taoist Sect, made up? If your founding master knew about this from his grave, he would probably be so angry he’d come back to life just to beat you to death.”
The old Taoist in white shook his head repeatedly, “Regardless of whether my founding master has said it or not, I truly cherish my life. We can discuss anything, just don’t resort to swords and arms.”
Fang Lin uttered an “Oh,” and put away his short sword.
“Then can you tell me everything you know?” Fang Lin returned to his chair and asked as if nothing had happened.
The old Taoist in white looked down at his chest and abdomen, where blood was still oozing out. It seemed to him that Fang Lin had completely no intention of treating his wounds.
It didn’t matter, though. As a Spirit Source Martial Artist, his body was extraordinary and could stop bleeding in a short while. As long as his internal organs weren’t injured, he could recover within three to five days.
“Uh, what would you like to know, young friend?” asked the old Taoist in white, his eyes shifting as he spoke.
“Why have the three sects sent experts to the Lower Three Kingdoms?” Fang Lin said.
The old Taoist in white thought for a moment before saying, “The experts from our three sects have come here not just to conquer the territories of the Lower Three Kingdoms but also to find a Divine Weapon.”
“Oh? What Divine Weapon?” Fang Lin asked, raising his eyebrows with interest.
The old Taoist in white showed a troubled expression, “I’m not entirely sure what Divine Weapon it is, but it’s something very important to our three sects. That’s why experts were sent, and we were only sent ahead to scout.”
Fang Lin remained silent, but he pondered to himself.
The woman in the green robe said she needed to save someone, yet this old Taoist spoke of searching for a Divine Weapon. With both holding to their own stories, who was telling the truth, and who was lying?
“How can I be certain that what you’re saying is true or false?” Fang Lin asked as he felt for his short sword again.
Seeing Fang Lin reach for the short sword, the old Taoist in white felt a bit panicked, but he tried to maintain a composed appearance.
“What the old Taoist has said is the utter truth, I wouldn’t dare deceive you in the slightest,” he claimed with fervent assurance.
Fang Lin stared at him for a long time, but the latter remained stoic, not showing any signs of guilt while making eye contact with Fang Lin.
“Hmm, it seems that you are indeed speaking the truth,” Fang Lin nodded and said.
Just as the old Taoist in white was about to sigh with relief, Fang Lin’s short sword flew from his hand, planting itself directly into the Taoist’s heart.
