Since I had some extra points to spend, I decided to upgrade the [Authority] of the Game Master System. Given the amount of GM points that I had, it seemed the right thing to do. Though I wondered if I should up it once more since I had the amount in my pocket.
Though I decided to check out the two things that I have unlocked right now.
[The Game Master Control Panel!]
[Time Control: Increase/Decrease the Time of everything present in the tower.

[Player Control (Authority Level 7 Required)!]
[Game Setting Control (Authority Level 10 Required!]
[Tower Setting Control (Authority Level 16 Required!]
"…"
I looked at that screen with a blank expression before pouring a bit of GM points into increasing the Limit of what was unlocked.
[Time Control: Increase/Decrease the Time of everything present in the tower.
Current Limit: Can increase/decrease the amount of time by 60%
GM points required to increase the limit: 10,000,000 GM points!]
[NPC control: Make Changes to the NPCs within the tower

-[Authority Level 8 Required!]
-[Authority Level 11 Required!]
-[Authority Level 16 Required!]
GM Points required to increase the Limit: 10,000,000GM Points!]
As usual the cost increased by ten times each time I increased the limit. Though looking at the function, it was honestly worth it.
Still, it is going to cost a fortune if I want to increase it a few more levels further.
'Let's leave that to the future. For now, let's observe the other Privilege that I unlocked,' I pondered before observing the [The Game Master Floor Panel!].
[The Game Master Floor Panel!]
[Floor 1-10 Controls!]
[Floor 11-20 Controls!]
[Floor 21-30 Controls!]
.
.
[Floor 91-100 Controls!]
Opening up [Floor 1-10!], I saw that it was subdivided into 5 more panels with each alternate Floor in one panel. Opening up the [Floor 1-2!], I looked at the panels that appeared in front of me.
[Floor 1-2
Difficulty: Moderate
Enemies Present: [Goblins: Normal] [Fanged Wolves: Normal!] [Ogres: Normal!] [Ogres: TwinHeaded!] [Goblins: Forest!]….
Main Boss: [King of Thieves (Level 2)]

Main Quest Line: [Find the Lost Arcadian Gem!]
Theme of the Floor: Natural Wonders

Number of tries a player can take: Unlimited!
Block List: [Empty!]
Miscellaneous: [Area Panel] [Search Panel] [Flora Panel] [Fauna Panel!]…]
[Increase your Authority Level to 8 to make any Floor Changes in this section!]
'Hmmm. Even though I can't really do anything about the floor itself, just with the fact that I now know everything about the first floor is already a big boost,' I thought as a smile appeared on my face.
I was tempted to upgrade the Authority by another level but for now, I decided to wait until it increases to at least 500 Million.
Let's just observe the current situation in our hands.
I closed the Game Master Panel before looking at those bastards that were almost broken now. Even though they were breathing, they were too terrified to even speak a word.
Though it wasn't me or Mark who was responsible for that, but rather the group that came to camp with us.
Since I had the power, I let them deal with the thugs as I stripped away most of their power though I never imagined the calm looking weak people to be this ferocious against their fellow humans.
Was it revenge? Yes. It is perhaps right after what the bandits did to the other players and NPCs. If I keep both points of view in check, the bandits will surely turn out to be the worst kind of humans that actually deserve worse than what these campers have done to them.
"What should we do now?" That man, Alan, looked at me hopefully but it wasn't my place to speak anything. The only reason that I got involved was because of the children here. Otherwise I have no problem pretending to be weak.
Though looking at Mark, who had a complex expression on his face, I sighed a bit. I wanted him to get exposed to the cruelty of the world but now that I have done it… I wonder if it was the right thing to do?
"Mark. You okay?" I asked with a bit of concern. Mark looked at me with a thoughtful gaze before he slowly nodded.
"It disgusts me… what this whole game has turned us into… it disgusts me really," he spoke out as he calmed down even more.
"Though I guess, it's something I should get used to, right?" He added with a smile that seemed to be hiding a lot of pain in it.
I mean I can understand where he is coming from but still, he was wrong. It's not that this game has turned humanity into something bad but rather it brought them closer to their instincts.
And to be fair, there were many who were disgusting even during the time before this tutorial apocalypse started.
'Well. I can't really tell him that though. Let's just keep things going as they are,' I sighed before nodding at Mark as I spoke,
"I'll let you take the lead in whatever is going on here. If you need any help, I'll be there, though try to make decisions on your own here."
Personally, I can wipe all the players inside the city by myself. But this is something that would be a proper way for Mark to grow up from his naive mindset. If he can do that, then maybe I can send him a contract as well?
"I want to… see things with my own eyes," Mark spoke as he reached a decision on his own. It was a good thing in my eyes. Many would really break from everything that was going on.
'We are already starting on a positive note, huh? That's nice,' I smiled as I nodded before looking at the rest of the campers there.
"Talk with him and guide him back to the city," I said as I put my cloak on and erased my presence using the [Illusion!] skill.
"I will be keeping an eye on whatever is going on but don't expect me to intervene unless it is really necessary," I added after I vanished from there.
They were all surprised but then recalling how I handled those men before, they calmed down before moving towards Mark.
As they discussed their problems further, I began checking the newer privileges in more detail. There were many things that seemed useful and if I could increase my Authority at least 2 times more, I could perhaps influence a lot of things here.
'It would take some time though,' I thought before a certain idea popped up in my mind. While it may not exactly be the best way to do things, if I am careful, perhaps I can kill 2 birds with one stone?
And with that in mind, I added an additional feature to [Twin Guns!] that I had with me.
[-Allows the user to teleport to each of the guns and vice versa at the cost of 1 km per energy used!]
[Would you like to make the following changes for 137 Million GM Points?]
'Costly!' My eyes widened as I observed it but then again, I had like 25,000 Energy, so doesn't that mean I can travel 25,000Km in a second as long as I have that weapon on the other side?
'All right. Here goes nothing,' I thought as I pressed [Yes!] since it was a good investment.
It could boost my overall combat, while increasing my utility as well. Plus, I can call it back with a mere thought if I want to as well, no matter how far it is.
Moving closer to Mark, I then placed one of the guns before changing it into a sword, into his backpack.
"Keep one of my swords with you. I will be checking the perimeter for now."
He was alarmed at my sudden call but then hearing any words he calmed down as he slowly nodded before continuing his talk with the campers.
And now that I have planted a temporary teleport point, I can go off to increase the grade of my [Gift!] even more. It's about time, we reached the [Upper Mortal Grade!] of my [Gift!]
