The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra
Chapter 125: Just Love Me

Chapter 125: Just Love Me

The dishes were simple, home-cooked meals that mostly were seafood, as they were from the sea. Arren craved some grilled fish, but as it needed more work and there were only the two of them, he dismissed the idea for now.

The wind touched his face; his hair danced along with it. They decided to eat on the balcony that overlooked the beach outside. It was silent, and it appeared that there were only two of them in the world.

Arren ate with relaxation; his heart was at peace as he momentarily let himself forget all the issues that they had temporarily set aside. It was the same for Spade as well, who ate the dishes that he cooked with relish. He appeared to not have any heavy burdens on his shoulders at the moment.

He smiled and thought that suggesting that they take a vacation outside of the capital was really a good idea. At least they had a chance to breathe from all the stress and impending problems that awaited them.

"Can I ask you seriously now?" Arren broke their silence and asked what was bugging him. Well, it wasn’t really serious.

"What is it?" Spade stopped eating for a while and focused on him.

"Why is it... you were like that earlier?" Arren didn’t know how to say it either, as his cheeks slightly blushed remembering Spade’s sweet antics earlier. "It isn’t like you... Uhm, I mean, I’m really surprised to see you act like that," he added but almost stuttered as he couldn’t choose the right word to say out loud.

He was meant to ask, ’Where did you learn this extremely lethal mushy stuff?" It almost killed me!’ Of course, he wouldn’t say that out loud.

The alpha didn’t ask what he was talking about, as he immediately understood Arren.

"Why? Does it bother you?"

Hearing this, Arren hurriedly waved his hand and denied it. "No, it doesn’t bother me... Actually," he paused before mumbling another few words, "I like it." His tone was a bit shy, which was also a rare occurrence for Arren, but after meeting Spade, the times that he was flustered had only increased. Being shameless couldn’t stand a chance against the sweet and seductive words of the alpha sometimes.

Spade held back in shortening their distance to embrace the omega that appeared so soft in his eyes and instead only smiled. He knew that Arren would ask this and that he might be unfamiliar with his actions.

He, too, was a bit surprised by himself. It was only that he wanted to make this vacation memorable for both of them. Spade didn’t know a lot of things; he might be knowledgeable in one area, especially managing an empire, but when it comes to romantic relationships, he admitted he was new to it.

His hand reached out and held Arren’s hand on the table; only a split second later, their hands interlocked with each other. The omega stared at him and was always ready to listen attentively.

"I don’t know what normal couples are like when they are on vacation," he answered honestly, caressing Arren’s hand with his thumb. "I know, I can’t really give you a normal relationship where we can date to the places you want. There are places that people your age are likely to visit, but it will be convenient for me to be there as they are probably crowded." Spade poured out his thoughts.

He was composed most of the time because that was what he needed to be. However, if the situation was right, he could also be expressive, and being with Arren was the time that Spade felt like he could really say whatever was on his mind without the omega being disappointed with him. When he was with Arren, he didn’t need to maintain the perfect and dignified image of a ruler; he could just be Spade—his lover.

"I have a lot more things I can give you than most alphas in the world, but I’m aware that I also lack so many things that an ordinary alpha could offer you. Like the peaceful life without having needed to think of public scrutiny or the pressure of being my omega." Spade continued as Arren held him tightly; even his expression had already become emotional, with tears threatening to form in the corners of his eyes.

Spade didn’t want an emotional atmosphere, but things needed to be said, and he could only compensate Arren later for making him cry.

"I thought that as we are already on this island, away from our problems and responsibilities, I’d like to let you feel in a carefree and ordinary relationship." He forced himself not to stop and embraced Arren, who already had tears in his eyes. Spade brought their interlocked hands to his lips, landing a peck at the back of Arren’s hand.

He chose to continue, staring at Arren with the most sincere gaze he could muster. Spade had so many things that anyone could ever dream of, but he also lacked some things in his life. He never once thought of it, as he knew that his destiny to be at the top was engraved in his blood the moment he was born.

While he knew what he lacked, he didn’t complain, as he had more than that. However, he admitted that he was lonely sometimes. After all, he had his emotions too. At some point, he got all sorts of ideas from time to time.

He wanted to date too. He wanted to hang out with friends his age too. He wanted to travel with his family as well. Every time, he was always reminded... he couldn’t.

’You are at the top, but it only meant you were destined to be lonely.’

He didn’t know where that phrase began to reside in his mind. Was he really destined to be lonely? Perhaps, he was. If only... he hadn’t met him.

Arren crashed everything in his path and embedded himself in Spade’s whole being. And he never once denied his entry.

"This time... it’s ours." He ended with something simple and a bit vague, but it came from his heart. Words were sometimes not needed.

Arren was so emotional that his tears were already streaming down his cheeks. He pinched Spade’s hand for making him cry in the first few hours of their vacation, but he also tightened his hold, not intending to let go in the slightest.

He nodded and sniffed. "It’s ours."

Without having to think of anything, he imitated Spade. The alpha wiped his tears for him. No one spoke afterward, and they ate in silence, their hands still interlocked with each other. It was inconvenient to eat with only one hand, but neither of them had the thought of letting go.

When they cleaned the table and even as they washed the dishes together. They were still clingy, as though they wanted to always feel the warmth of one another. It also appeared that the air surrounding them completely changed, and it was much lighter than before.

Once they were done, they both stood shoulder to shoulder on the balcony. Arren took a deep breath, and he unconsciously smiled. This kind of scenery and even the fresh air could really lift your mood.

It was especially if... he glanced at Spade at his side. He leaned his head to the alpha, as an arm wrapped instinctively around his waist. The wind blew as a comfortable silence shrouded them.

"Spade, I just want you to know." He gazed into the distance, his eyes much softer. "The moment I accept my feelings, I already know that it’ll not be easy. But... I still let you in my life."

He slightly tilted his head from the alpha’s shoulders; their eyes met, and Arren continued while locking gazes with Spade. He wanted to say it looking at him.

"You don’t need to give me anything... Just love me, like you always do." Arren smiled genuinely, his words filled with unconcealed emotions.

For a long time, Spade couldn’t take his gaze away from him, deeply captivated.
