Chapter 498: Chapter 498 Early Birth of a Precious Child (2)_1

"You like it, that’s good." Mo Heng closed his eyes and turned his head to kiss her cheek.

Might as well not look! Pei Qin pursed her lips, "You should sleep early then, I need to get going too! The little radishes at home are probably still waiting!"

"Mhm." Mo Heng responded, but his hand was reluctant to let go.

"Aren’t you tired? Why aren’t you obediently going to sleep!?" Pei Qin removed the large welcoming pillow he was leaning against and pushed him to lie down.

Mo Heng lay there, eyes open, just watching her.

Pei Qin tucked him in snugly and left. She glanced at Feng Wei and Zhang Gengshan, feeling like yelling at them. What kind of upbringing was this, to have raised such a clingy grown man!?

Seeing the look in her eyes was not very favorable, both Feng Wei and Zhang Gengshan frowned slightly, uncertain of what she was planning to do.

Pei Qin slumped her shoulders and called out, "Lu Hai! Let’s go!"

Lu Hai followed her home.

Sure enough, all the little radishes were still waiting, including Fang Liuming. As they saw her return, they crowded around her, "Big sister! Have you really decided to marry Teacher Mo? Then..." What about Brother Songming?

"Yes! Could there be anything fake about it?" Pei Qin sat down and stretched out her legs, crossing them at the ankle.

"Big sister! You’re already pregnant." Seeing her posture, Pei Yuan couldn’t help but remind her. Her health hadn’t been great these past days, and with the first trimester, very unstable, she needed to be extra careful.

Pei Qin looked at her and didn’t feel like lowering her feet.

Pei Qian brought over the almanac, "You said you’ll get married in a few days, look at the dates. I’ve already picked out a good one!"

She was always the most proactive one.

Old people say that any month after October is good for boys. All the dates were close, and the nearest one was astonishingly the day after tomorrow. Pei Qin’s mouth twitched, "Isn’t the day after tomorrow too rushed!?"

"Then let’s pick the date four days from now! We’ll invite the relatives tomorrow, buy the banquet supplies the day after, and decorate the house; it’ll be just right!" In fact, Pei Qian was also somewhat afraid that she’d change her mind and wanted her to marry Mo Heng as soon as possible. The longer they waited, the more disadvantageous it became. How would they explain if the baby were born too soon?

Pei Qin, frowning, looked it over and nodded, "Alright!"

With the matter settled, the siblings went to bed early. They would be busy for the next several days starting tomorrow.

Fang Liuming walked home in the night, feeling a sense of relief in his heart. Things were finally resolved; he wouldn’t have to step forward and marry his cousin.

The very next day, right after breakfast, before they had a chance to clear the dishes, Old Scholar Fang and his entourage rushed over.

Fang Liyu earnestly persuaded Pei Qin, "Qinqin, you were dead set on marrying Shen Songming before, and now you’ve changed your mind in such a short period. Has something happened? That Mo Heng, an outsider, is an unknown quantity; such people are unreliable. You should think it over again! Even if you can’t marry into the Shen family, there are other men! Any would be better than an unknown like Teacher Mo!" He was nearly at the point of directly pulling Fang Liuming over for her to marry.

Even Grandma Fang felt Mo Heng was somewhat inconsiderate, not only because he was an unknown but also because they’d never met him before.

Pei Qin stood up, "You should meet him first! However, he got injured saving me a few days ago and is currently resting at home."

"Saving you!? You... Qinqin! Did you face another assassination attempt!?" Lady Yu exclaimed in shock.

Pei Qin nodded, "Yes. He happened to be there." She said and walked outside.

The group looked at one another, at a loss.

Old Scholar Fang realized there must be a reason behind this and hadn’t expected it to be a life-saving grace. With a stern face, he followed her out, and everyone arrived at the door of Mo Heng’s residence.

Zhang Gengshan had already come to open the door. Seeing Old Scholar Fang and his party, he bowed his head and invited them inside, "The young master has been up for quite a while."
