Chapter 475: Chapter 475: The Child’s Mother Gets Married (2)_1
"There’s something fishy about the Contraceptive Soup." Lu Hai stated directly.
Pei Qin didn’t need to say it; she had already guessed as much.
"You need to plan ahead. Mo Heng might already know." Lu Hai reminded her. The way Feng Wei had come before to ask about her intimate days, she suspected they had been under surveillance all along.
Upon hearing this, Pei Qin’s complexion turned even uglier; she felt a strong sensation of being deceived and manipulated behind her back. Turning her head to look toward the village, her eyes flooded with murderous intent, she ground her teeth, "Blind bastard! Dare to plot against me!"
Lu Hai thought she was about to go and fight Mo Heng desperately.
Pei Qin turned and entered the workshop, not allowing Lu Hai to follow her into the backyard’s drying ground. Alone among the vats of fermenting sauce, she paced back and forth; her face turning from black to purple, from purple to blue, then to green, cycling through several shades, none of them good.
She never put her hopes on modern men, so why would she expect any different from these ancient men with their several wives and concubines? She must have been out of her mind!
That dead blind man, Mo Heng, was really asking for it! It was just one forceful encounter, and he didn’t lose out, yet he dared to manipulate her.
Lu Hai, standing several meters away, could hear the sound of her teeth grinding, her hatred so intense as if she wanted to tear Mo Heng’s flesh off and eat it. But now, she belonged to Mo Heng, was pregnant with his child, and could only marry him. Before, she could still proclaim she wouldn’t marry, but now...
Pei Qin had always been in the no-marriage camp, interested in tinkering with different things. She had many experiments and research, and stalls to mind; as for dating, marriage, children, and dealing with a pile of troubles, she had no interest at all! Even now, she had the same mindset.
But what about the flesh in her belly... To abort it?
At this thought, Pei Qin’s face became as ugly as it could be. A living being, growing inside of her...
After struggling in the workshop for half a day, Pei Qin emerged with a gloomy face and walked toward the village.
Lu Hai saw her stride filled with murderous intent and followed behind.
Mo Heng was still standing inside the front door. He heard footsteps approaching, growing closer and he felt a timid sense of apprehension.
There was a loud thud at the door. Pei Qin gritted her teeth and said, "Open up!"
Mo Heng’s heart tightened, and he hurried to open the door.
Zheng Gengshan saw her face so dark it could drip water and swallowed nervously, turning to look at Mo Heng.
Pei Qin’s face was livid, her eyes seething with murderous intent as she stared at Mo Heng.
Mo Heng took a slight breath and reached out to her, "Let’s talk inside the house."
Seeing the two of them so openly holding hands and walking into the house, Zhang Gengshan and Lu Hai exchanged glances, while Feng Wei also withdrew with some concern.
No sooner had the seemingly intimate couple entered the house than Pei Qin turned around and punched him hard in the face.
Mo Heng was totally unprepared. The punch landed on his face; his body swayed, and he stumbled to the ground, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth.
Pei Qin herself faltered for a moment, not expecting him to be so weak; he was entirely different in bed. Seething with anger, she gripped his shirt collar and growled, "Didn’t I drink the Contraceptive Soup, huh!?" One punch.
"And I drank two big bowls of it, dammit! Huh!?" Another punch.
"What was that Contraceptive Soup supposed to prevent!?" And another punch.
With punch after punch, Mo Heng’s handsome, unblemished face quickly swollen with bruises, blood dripping from his mouth. Hearing Pei Qin’s questioning and most unfortunately responding, he said, "Tonic."
Pei Qin... threw another hard punch, "To hell with your tonic!" She knew it; two big bowls of the Contraceptive Soup, and it didn’t work.
Mo Heng let out a muffled grunt, "I’m sorry." He was despicable, shameless, and dirty. He had wanted to marry her and never hid it, using tactics on her without concealment. Wanting her, marrying her, it was all laid out plainly before her.
