Chapter 110. Did he?

Chapter 110: 110. Did he?

"I_ I_ I do not have to say anything to you." She finally forced some words out of her mouth but regretted them instantly as he rose to his full height and she took two steps back.

"S_stay away from me, o_or I shall scream." She warned, but she could also see that the vexation in his eyes was only getting stronger the more she spoke and he was getting nearer even though she kept back away.

"I do not owe you any sort of explanation!" She screamed and trembled and Neriah wished she could slap herself in the face for saying those words. It was clear to anyone that provoking him further was not the right way to go, but she could not think straight. Common sense had been overwritten with fear.

"You take off in the night without a word to a single soul," His voice was somewhere in between a growl and a whisper and it caused ripples and ripples of sweat beads to form on her head and roll down her face, "spend over three hours away from home," He took one more step and he had reached her, but she took another step back only to jolt forward as the heat if the flames of the hearth kissed her leg.

Again, she was standing right before him, his huge body overshadowing hers and as Neriah lifted her head and stared into his eyes, she wondered in her head if the flames from the heart wouldn’t have been a much better choice than the flames in his eyes.

"And you do not owe me, your lord and husband any sort of explanation?" It was the first time he had used that expression, ’Lord and husband’ and she could see how vexed he was.

But the witch in her refused to bend and submit to the man before her, refusing to give him what he asked for... A simple explanation.

"Aye! I owe you no— uhh." She gasped as his hand suddenly wrapped around her small jaw, forcing her to stand on her tiptoes in fear that he would rip her head from her neck if she didn’t stretch up as he forced her face to remain steady.

"Was it him?" A simple question. Just three words, three common words that were used in everyday conversation, but when suddenly put together and coming out of the mouth of this man, Neriah’s pupils danced around her eye socket with fear. Her palms quickly began to sweat and her fingers began to itch her.

He couldn’t possibly know. There was no way he could know. How could he possibly know?

"I see," He murmured and for a moment, Neriah saw his expression switch from anger to disappointment, to pain, then to disappointment again before turning back to anger.

She had to rectify this. He could not be talking about Lyle, could he? "I_ I do not know what you—"

"I see he treated your wounds." He interrupted her, "What else did he treat?" His eyes were getting scarier and his hold on her jaw tighter.

"I_ I do not—"

"Did he touch your face?" His left hand reached up and caressed her cheek, while still holding her jaw with his right. "Did he stroke your neck?" His left hand trailed down the length of her neck and she shuddered for it sent tingles down her spine and she cursed her foolish body for acting this way when she was clearly in big trouble.

"You are not listening to me. I have no idea what—"

"And your lips," Her mouth fell shut as his finger trailed her lips. "He kissed it." He breathed and it seemed painful, his eyes seemed sorrowful, but that was before he said, "It is obvious." And there was anger in those eyes again. She opened her mouth to speak, but it was too late, his lips had already taken over hers with an unfriendly and wicked possessive passion.

His kiss was so sudden and harsh that Neriah’s hand rose to his arms that held her face and scratched them, trying to free herself from his hold. Her hand moved from his arms to his chest and she pushed, now really preferring the fire from the heart to the rage of the man who kissed her.

She stepped back on her toes but her lips remained locked with his. She could not breathe, her lungs were about to give out but he was not letting her go. He kept on kissing her with so much strength, defiling and assaulting her lips like a mad beast. Sending his tongue deeper and deeper into her mouth, blocking her throat.

She could taste blood in her mouth; she didn’t know whose it was. But seeing that he had bit her lips repeatedly, and they were hurting, she feared it was hers.

"Did he touch your breasts too?" He spoke and Neriah finally had a chance to draw in breath, dragging in as much as she could as quickly as possible so she could find her voice and tell him to stop. And beg him if need be.

But before she could even breathe in properly, his hands had somehow forcefully pulled her breasts out of her corset and she had no idea how he was able to do that, but he did and her breasts were complete naked before his eyes, bouncing above the top of her corset and it was at that point she realized he had clearly gone mad.

"No I—Ahhh!" She screamed in pain as his head went lower and his teeth took her nipple in between them. "Stop! It hurts." She cried out but he was clearly deaf at that point, for he only munched on her breasts even harder, like an animal. His hands had slipped to her back and waist, forcing her to arch toward him.

Her hands held onto his arms, digging into them with her nails as he continued his assault on her breasts.

"St_stop please." She finally found the words to beg. "It hurts." But the reply to her words was...

"Did he_" He paused and lifted his eyes, staring into hers with earnest hate and something else. Something she could not understand. "Did he make love to you?"
