The Devil Doctor's Spicy Love
Chapter 65: Picture perfect family

Chapter 65: Picture perfect family

Jia ever so slowly turned with a heart that prayed desperately for the person not to be the one she was thinking him to be. But fate was unkind to her as the face of a certain devilish doctor came into her view. Dressed in a casual shirt and jeans, his charm exuded a sense of goofiness.

"Ishen!" Limei, who was being held in his arms, giggled and poked his cheek.

Mingshen narrowed his eyes. "For the Devil knows how many times, it’s Mingshen."

"Ishen!" With her cheery laughter, she tugged his collar and buried her face in his neck, clinging onto it.

Wasn’t Bojing looking after Limei? Jia thought.

She then got her answer as she noticed Bojing sneakily making his way back to the group as he hid his crying and stressful face. Clearly, he was being told to leave and not warn Jia about the impending danger either.

Mingshen read the burning question in Jia’s eyes, and he smiled. "I was just making my way towards you when this little ball of endless energy crashed into me," he pointed at Limei. "Please don’t mind the delay~"

"I mind your entire existence here, and pray tell me why is that here in the first place? Wasn’t this a kiddie place for you?" Jia bitterly questioned.

Mingshen sternly snorted as if he was wronged. "Spicy, you betrayed me. I thought we would be on the same team who aren’t interested in this glitter and alien stuff! But you left me behind and joined that idiot gang. Spicy, don’t let little chilli influence you anymore than this," he gravely said.

"We are never on the same team, Yang Mingshen."

He gasped. "Isn’t it much more fun?"

She pointed her finger at an attraction located at the far end of the amusement park. "See that horror house?"

"Of course~ I have excellent sight."

Jia sneered. "The nightmare of being on the same team as you is far worse than getting locked up in that horror house. I would rather be on the same side as ghosts."

Weiyun giggled, bumping his forehead against her cheek.

"Ghosts huh?" Chuckling lightly, he inclined towards her. "Aren’t you already being haunted by them?"

Jia fixed her warning glower at him as she understood where he was getting at. "Don’t insinuate something that doesn’t exist, Mingshen."

"I wouldn’t insinuate something if it didn’t have substance because I am pretty sure that you would have very carefully kept my love letter in one of the drawers."

Once again, it was an indirect method of hinting it but she knew that by love letter, he meant the paper he had slipped into her hands that day. The paper which she had crumpled and thrown into the trash before she fetched it again and placed it in a drawer.

"Jiaaa..." Weiyun tugged a lock of her hair, sensing her restlessness.

She gave him an assured smile and squinted at Mingshen.

"It was just your way of messing with me so there is no need of preserving something that absolutely doesn’t make any sense. I threw it away at the first chance I got," she lied.

Mingshen didn’t immediately reply to that claim, silently staring in her irises to catch the deceit in them.

"Ishen..." Limei poked his cheek, her beautiful pupils shining.

Smiling, he took a step back and adjusted Limei’s position in his arms. "I would prefer to not spend my energy in proving your lie when I know you will soon prove it to me yourself," his cunning gaze held amusement.

She scowled and decided to head back when an elderly couple passing by them commented. "Oh dear such a lovely couple. Your children are so adorable."

The woman’s husband nodded. "Looks like such a perfect family picture. Bless you two have a long and happy life ahead, haha."

"..."

Jia held Weiyun in her arms while Mingshen held Limei. The four of them together could be easily mistaken for a family. The mere thought of being misunderstood as Mingshen’s wife and the mother of his children was enough to make her face twist with disgust. A look of horror crept on her face.

"Excuse me but you are-"

"Absolutely right!" Mingshen chimed in with his eager, high-pitched voice. "She is my lovely wife and these are our lovely twin children~ Aren’t they so cute?"

Jia threw him a dumbfounded look with her jaw dropped. She didn’t imagine he would spout this extent of nonsense and utter lies.

Weiyun and Limei had no idea what was going on, but they hopped and flailed their arms up in the air, giggling and laughing.

"Ishen Jia...cute cute..." Limei said with a sparkling gaze.

"Cute..." Weiyun added too.

Jia lacked tears to shed.

Noooo, my dear niece and nephew. Please don’t betray me like this! You cannot speak his and my names in the same sentence and even call us cute!

The elderly couple joined in the twins’ laughter. "Aiya, your twins are so smart. They know how their parents are such a lovely couple."

Mingshen thoroughly basked in the joy of Jia’s increasingly crumbling pressure that seemed to drag her soul out of her body. Before she got a chance to clarify their seriously skewed misunderstanding, the elderly couple had already left.

Jid didn’t look any less than a demoness as she shot dark, murderous glares towards Mingshen. "You will regret calling me your wife, Yang Mingshen. I will make you regret it for sure."

Mingshen whistled cheerfully. "Contrary to their parents, the twins are actually smart. And here I was unnecessarily worried about their future," he beamed at the siblings. "You did a great job! As a prize, this handsome devil will fulfill all your wishes~"

The twins didn’t really get it but they could sense Mingshen’s praise, making their eyes glitter with joy.

A shocked gasp then echoed from the side. "You evil doctor! What are you doing here!?"

Lihua arrived, accompanied by Wei who was equally surprised by Mingshen’s presence. Mingshen handed Limei back to her and sneered, flicking Lihua’s forehead. "Thank God your twins didn’t inherit your hopeless genes or Wei’s for that matter too. Their future looks safe. They deserve a reward for resisting to inherit your legacy."

"..."

Wei threw a curious glance at Jia, who was trembling with a murderous thirst. He promptly took Weiyun back. Weiyun questioningly tilted his head at his father, and Wei patted his son’s head.

Women are dangerous when they are angry.

Amidst that raging storm, Jia found a sliver of hope, and it was a hope which Mingshen presented himself.

Her lips curved into a sneer as she said, "You are right. The twins deserve a reward since they pleased you so much, right? So how about a hundred million Yuan for each? You did say you would fulfill their wishes as their prize."

Mingshen’s mouth ever so slightly twitched.

"And since you so joyously claimed me as your ’wife’, I will go along with your act. I ask for a divorce so as my ex-husband, Mr. Yang, I demand two hundred million as my alimony."
