Chapter 271: Luxurious spa

The spa within the Zenith Lounge exuded opulence and tranquility in every corner of the room. Its interior was designed with an elegant fusion of modern luxury and traditional elements, with soft ambient lighting, warm wood accents, and intricate details in the décor. The gentle sound of water flowing from a central fountain softly reached her ears, providing a calming backdrop. A beautiful melody quietly played in the air that would make anybody feel their worries lifting away into the unknown cosmos.

Jia looked around the place, absorbing every minute details of it. She didn’t expect anything less from a private club’s spa that Mingshen chose. But one thing she wondered was why it was empty. There wasn’t a single customer in sight. She expected that there would be at least two women basking in the peace of massage or sleeping with a face mask on.

"Welcome to our spa!"

Two attendants dressed in their crisply ironed uniform greeted Mingshen and Jia with a polite smile and sparkling eyes.

"Dr. Yang. Everything is ready as per your request. Please follow us."

Jia blinked in confusion. She suspiciously glanced at Mingshen. "What is going on?"

He smirked. "You will see."

The first attendant opened a door, leaving Jia immediately dumbfounded.

The first room contained a series of hot spring baths and pools from where steam wafted out in the air, making the temperature slightly humid but comfortable. The air was a little foggy but the warm air felt refreshing.

"Welcome to the most popular highlight of our spa - our couple’s suite~"

"..."

Her stupor from gazing at the hot springs broke and she stared at the attendant.

Couple’s...suite?

The second attendant chirped. "Dr. Yang, Miss. Song. You are in good hands. Our spa boasts of thermal baths and hydrotherapy pools with different temperature zones to relax muscles and improve circulation. There are whirlpools with underwater massage jets, a cold plunge pool for invigoration and even a saltwater pool for buoyancy and skin rejuvenation! We have everything prepared for you. The changing room over that side."

The first one said, "We will give you a detailed tour and explain how to make the most of our hot spring baths!"

Mingshen nodded earnestly.

The attendants swiftly left to give them their privacy. Jia held her hands on her waist and her eyes narrowed dangerously. "Couple’s suit?"

"Aren’t you excited!" Mingshen’s expectant expression looked like a dog asking for praise. "You never dragged your poor self to a spa, did you?"

She was speechless. "Well first of all, I didn’t need one-"

"Everybody needs a spa. It’s called self-care."

Her brow twitched. "Second of all, even if I go now, why should it be in a couple’s suit? You don’t seriously think that I will get naked in this pool with you, right?"

Mingshen blushed. "Isn’t that what a couple’s suit is for? To do all sorts of naughty and perverted stuff with each other~ We should waste no further time~"

The two attendants appeared out of thin air as if they never left in the first place. They quickly grabbed Jia with a business smile plastered on their lips. "Mam, this way. We will help you get changed."

"Huh? No, no wait-"

Mingshen waved her goodbye as the attendants dragged her away like hooligans.

Five minutes later, Jia stepped out - all showered and dressed up in a royal blue bikini. Her face flushed hard with redness. It wasn’t like she hadn’t gone to beaches before but wearing her cop uniform for years made her less used to wearing swimsuits and revealing bikinis.

"I-is there nothing else to add on here?" She asked with a dry throat.

The attendant grinned. "You are going for a relaxing bath, Mam. You don’t bathe in full clothes, now do you~?"

"..."

"Sexy Spicy in a sexy bikini~!"

Mingshen’s zealous voice made her throw a glare at him.

It’s all his fault-

She choked at the view that greeted her. Mingshen was in comfortable swim trunks, exposing his lean and toned chest and abdomen that screamed of drool and sexiness. His long and muscular arms and legs were in a class of their own.

It would be a national nosebleed crisis if women saw him like this, Jia thought.

The first attendant asked with a hint of excitement. "Mam, are you ready to step into the hot spring?"

Mingshen raised his hand. "I am! I am!"

Her gaze darkened. "I am not! We are not a couple for us to go into the bath together!"

He pouted. "You pay too much attention to minor details, Spicy."

"..."

The second attendant chuckled. "Worry not, Mam. Dr. Yang guessed this would happen so we have it ready."

A divider was wheeled in with a tall cream curtain quickly separating the hot springs baths on either side of the spacious bathhouse.

"Now you have all the privacy, Mam!"

Mingshen popped his head out from the other side of the curtain. "Spicy, think about it again. We will have a very good time together, you know! I promise I won’t touch you suspiciously~"

She pushed his head back at that same side again. "No thanks."

Jia hesitated as she stood at the edge of the hot spring. She was still wondering what the hell Mingshen had planned by doing all this.

She slowly submerged herself in the pool with warmth seeping from the tips of her toes that traveled upwards. Suddenly, Jia had a resounding enlightenment.

Is this...heaven?

Ah...What is this feeling? I feel so light...

She leaned her back against the edge as she was now neck deep in the water. She gently flapped her arms in the water, feeling her skin soak in the heat and dissipating the tension from her muscles. It felt therapeutic.

"Spicyyyyyyyyyy, I am right here at the other side of the curtain, you know~ Do you want to join in~?" he teasingly chuckled.
