The Demon Lord Is An Angel
Chapter 262: Breakfast At Stella’s

Chapter 262: Breakfast At Stella’s

Getting the next day off was an amazing deal for Kir. He got restful sleep, even though he still woke up early.

And he got to lay in bed, contemplating what he would do with his extra time. The day off would give him a chance to actually test Programmable Magic, chill with Kordia and Stella, and...

Wait.

The moment Kir remembered Stella, he got up, put on some pants and his glamour, and walked downstairs. Not seeing her there, he left the house and went around back to the cellar entrance, rather than use the ladder.

Since the last time he came down here to help clean, Stella had put up a sign for "Heavenly Massages, 1 Large Silver for a Massage. 1 Large Gold for a Taste of Heaven. No refunds."

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to tell what Stella meant by "heaven."

So much for "just a massage parlor."

As Kir opened the doors and stepped down, he saw that the basement was better furnished than the upstairs. There were soft chairs for sitting in, a magic sink, and walls had wallpaper now. The whole area was filled with a golden glow from lighting crystals that made the whole room feel more like a dive bar than a massage parlor.

His fears were confirmed as he heard Stella’s voice.

"Oh yeah, you like that? I’m going to destroy you, you little fuck..."

A woman’s moan followed immediately after.

"That’s it, I can’t wait to make you pop!"

The moan increased before it was suddenly accompanied by a series of cracking sounds like bones coming loose from cartilage.

"Phew," Stella said a moment later, as the mystery woman panted. "That was the last knot. Same time next week?"

"Mhmm..." a thoroughly satisfied hum answered.

"Let me just wash my hands- Oh!"

Stella came around the screens that had been improvised for walls.

"Long time no see, Stella. I love what you’ve done with the place," Kir said.

"It’s amazing, isn’t it? My customers are so generous. They bring me all sorts of gifts..."

A nearby rustling signaled that whoever was behind the privacy screen was putting on her clothes. A moment later, a familiar face stepped out.

"Don’t I know you?" Kir asked.

"Oh! Professor Nasumi! I forgot you bought this house. We met at City Hall." She paused to let Kir remember, but when it became obvious he didn’t, she continued, "I’m Farah Falavji, and I must say I’m rather grateful. Your partner here is an amazing masseuse. I’d probably be dead from overwork if not for her, haha."

Farah handed Stella a large silver, and received three small ones back for change. "A special discount for a friend," Stella said, more for Kir’s benefit than to remind Farah.

"You’re amazing."

"Let me know if you ever want a taste of heaven to go with that massage," Stella flirted with a wink.

Farah blushed, "I-I better get to work." She hurried up the stairs and with the shutting of the door, she was gone.

"You seem like you’re doing good business," Kir said, stepping around the corner of the blind and noting that there was a soft leather massage table, complete with a head holder. But behind it was a heart-shaped bed complete with lusty red sheets and white drapery held up by bronze cherubs. He took a seat on the bed, since the massage table was covered in sweat.

"Oh, business is booming. Everyone’s just so stressed and tense with all the construction going on... Once I got started, well..." she shrugged and started washing her hands. "Sorry, I haven’t been upstairs in a while I know..."

She seemed... more mature somehow.

"She’s up to something," Kiryu said, voicing Kir’s suspicion.

"What do you do with all the money?" Kir asked.

"What does anyone do with money? I’ve been hitting up every brothel in the city, trying to raise my stamina and skills," Stella said, an impish smile on her face. "Of course, I’d rather train with you, Professor..." She shifted her clothes into an academy uniform but with a far shorter skirt. Then she sat on Kir’s lap.

They shared a kiss, and Kir shared some of his mana, sensing that her mana capacity had indeed increased substantially.

After a long makeout session, and some light conversation, Kir circled back to what they had talked about. "So, are the brothels satisfying for you? Why did you call it training?"

"Because back on the tower, I lost to that bitch Janice. But just you wait, the next time we meet I am going to fuck her!"

"Don’t you mean fuck her up?"

"That too!"

Kir leaned in and whispered, "I happen to have the day off... and you seem a bit pent up... want me to drain that mana for you?" His breath was hot on her ear, and as soon as she shivered, Kir knew he had her interest.

Stella made excited succubus noises before stepping off the bed and posing. "What are you in the mood for? Male? Female? Something in between?"

As she asked, she turned first into a tall, skinny twink of an orc, then back to her human disguise, and then to an androgynously femme dwarf with a sizeable bulge and huge tits.

"Let’s go with in-between," Kir smiled. "Stella!"

The succubus pounced on him, pulling him into a kiss.

"Just so you know, I only have half an hour until my next customer."

"Well then let’s make it count.

"Ready for some breakfast?" Stella asked as she made her clothes disappear.

*

One half-hour later, a very satisfied Kir climbed up the stairs, waving hello to a beefy construction worker as he started back toward the front of the house.

"She’s good, no?" the minotaur asked rhetorically.

"Oh yeah," Kir chuckled.

"I’m paying gold today!" the minotaur laughed boastfully as he opened the hatch and disappeared.

"Think I came up with a good first use for Programmable Magic," Kiryu said as Kir stepped inside and closed the door.

"What’s that?"

"Checking for STIs."

"Okay, that was actually funny. But don’t slut-shame a succubus."

"Who said anything about slut shaming? I admire a woman dedicated to her art."

Kir rolled his eyes and left it at that. He’d gotten confirmation on what the "Taste of Heaven" Stella was selling was. For a gold coin, she used magic in her massages while subtly draining her horniest customers. The dirty talk came free. It was, ironically, safer for her than her silver customers, because her gold customers often left in a state too weakened to fight back, but satisfied and blissfully relaxed.

The bed had been mostly a prop to get some customers thinking of what they’d like to do with her; until she and Kir had broken it in.

It was certainly a risque business.

"Fuck your puns, Kid."

"Okay, in all seriousness, we should do a test run."

"You know my price."

Kir sighed and rummaged in his storage for his smoking pipe and tobacco.

An hour of back and forth, with Kir largely getting briefed on Kiryu’s efforts, was all it took for Kir to be brought up to speed. As the pilot of their shared body, he made the final decision on what they would program first.

"Let’s turn lead into gold."

"You don’t start small, I see. Last time you did that trick, you burned yourself."

"That was then. This time, I won’t be handling the lead." One of the things Kir had received as a new Professor was a box of lead sticks, with nothing to protect the skin from them. He was supposed to use them for notetaking, but he’d left the box moldering in a cabinet and never intended to use it until now.

In short order, he brought it out and dumped the contents onto a pewter plate he’d bought before recognizing what the material was.

"Alright, here goes nothing." Kir reached into his storage and produced a waxy stick mixed with crushed mana stones. Onto the white tablecloth he began to draw out the magic circle, then he began to fill it with the logic of the new magic he sought to create, muttering under his breath.

"If 1 is true that lead contains electrons, numbered..." "...Undirected magic shall behave as 15..." "...Parameters will dissipate upon completion of steps 14 to 197."

Kir looked up from his work after another two hours, admiring how careful he’d been not to make any mistakes. He was down to the last nub of his mana-wax sticks, but it was finished. All he needed to do was-

Knock-knock-knock.

From outside the nook-style front window, Kir saw Kordia waving.

"Hi Kir! Sorry I’m late," she said. They’d agreed last night to meet up for lunch, in case Kordia needed more sleep than she let on. "It’s okay," Kir smiled, greeting her with a kiss as soon as she closed the door, before he stepped away to close the window curtains.

"What’s all this? Is this that new magic you told me about? It looks like an artificer’s circle."

"It is like that, but also like contract magic," Kir said, taking the plate and re-centering it on the inner circle made just for that purpose. "Would you like to test it out with me?"

"What would you need me to do?" she asked, looking at the lead sticks. "Wait, are you going to do what I think you are?" The first time they’d met, Kir had paid Kordia’s tuition for the year by turning lead into gold. It was a painful but worthwhile process that kept him from being profiled early by the City Watch.

"Just channel mana, starting here..."

Kordia followed his instructions, and shortly the tablecloth began to glow along the lines of finely scribed wax.

The room filled with blue-white light as the protons and electrons of the lead began to dance and separate, leaving their neutrons in place as they rearranged themselves before shedding everything needed to step down lead into gold.

It was a nanoscopic event that Kir could only imagine, and as the lead slowly started to change in color and composition, he felt a smile broaden across his face-

Knock-knock-knock. THUD-THUD.

Someone else was at his door.
