After a relaxing and enjoyable weekend, Jiang Shu welcomed a new week.

Monday, nine o’clock, in the B section of the Central Building.

The Central Building was the fifth tallest structure in the Seventh District, second only to the Seventh TV Station and the branches of the Three Major Groups in the district.

Kirie worked on a massive machine in the center, switching several electrodes that should have been attached to the head of an Awakener to the familiar USB ports, and then casually mentioned, "This morning is exclusively for the police academy’s awakening event. No mutants will be produced, so there is no need for the Violent Terror Mobile Team. Besides, with Wolf here, general mutants wouldn’t be able to cause any trouble."

"Oh," Jiang Shu understood but then asked, "If these four awaken successfully, would anyone find out? There’d be a record in the Main Brain’s data, right?"

Kirie gave him another look and then answered, "The Main Brain won’t disclose any personal privacy, nor can anyone access the Main Brain’s database—not even the Three Major Groups."

Thus, if some criminals used Character Cards to enter public areas, the police couldn’t access this data to catch them. These data were unobtainable by anyone.

In a city like Lonely City, the collapse of privacy rights was more terrifying than crime itself.

"Let’s start with one," Kirie said, shaking the USB interface in her hand. "Although there have been no malfunctions, it’s still better to proceed one by one."

Jiang Shu looked at the Tablet Spirits, and Yi, Bing, Ding all stepped back simultaneously, while Xiaojia stepped forward with an "I expected as much" expression.

After about ten minutes, Xiaojia crawled out of the machine and sat on the edge of the bed, adopting the pensive pose of a wise sage.

"Did it work?" Kirie stared at it, her voice tinged with an indescribable excitement, as she had just witnessed the birth of a new Chapter in scientific history.

Jiang Xiaojia nodded, and on its projection, its Character Card was released.
