Chapter 396: Chapter 232 The Rebirth Technique Activates, Resurrection of Tang!

"So, Officer, that’s what happened. We just wanted to track down the magician Jiang Shu and interview him, that’s all. And then things turned out like this," Koichi Kojima was sitting in the interrogation room, pointing at the video on the Simulated Light Screen as he summarized to the imposing officer in front of him.

Having given a detailed explanation over the past half an hour, by now he had thoroughly clarified the whole sequence of events, though he wasn’t sure if the officer opposite would believe his words.

Darkness enveloped the interrogation room, save for a single bright light hanging above the central black table, casting white luminescence that sketched the motes of dust floating in the air.

After a long moment, the dignified middle-aged officer finally made the last note on his Simulated Light Screen. He nodded toward Koichi Kojima and said gravely, "We understand what happened. Now, you need to wait here for the results."

"Is my... situation serious?" Kojima lifted his head to ask, observing the officer’s facial expressions as though trying to gauge his own predicament.

But the officer remained expressionless, responding with a chilly tone, "Based on the current situation, you haven’t violated any criminal laws, but unauthorized entry into a hospital’s secret area requires either a temporary detention of no more than three days or a fine of five thousand Feather Coins per person."

"That’s fine, that’s fine, I can pay the fine," Kojima hurriedly said. Then the officer stood up, nodded slightly towards him, and turned to leave the interrogation room.

Bang— The iron door of the interrogation room slammed shut, and silence enveloped the room once more. Kojima stared blankly at the door, silent.

There shouldn’t be...

Any serious trouble, right?

In the observation room of the interrogation chamber, two men stood in front of a large one-way transparent glass window looking at Kojima inside.

One had the face of Tang, and the other bore the face of Clo. The former stood with his hands clasped behind his back, while the latter chewed bubble gum with his hands in his pockets, slouching like a street hoodlum.

"What do you think of the nickname ’little Tang kid’? Isn’t it cute? I have to use names to differentiate you, Tang, and the other Tang, right?" Clo asked casually, chewing the base form of a bubble, then inhaled deeply and blew a bubble as big as his head.

He was chewing five pieces of gum at once, so despite its size, the bubble had a certain thickness and didn’t burst instantly.

Hmm, being able to chew five pieces of gum at once, it seems that the angle at which this body’s jaw opens is slightly larger than an average person’s, which means...

Stronger bite force.

Clo thought to himself, and at the same time, he used his tongue to seal the giant bubble with another small blob of gum. He then took the head-sized pink bubble in his hand and offered it to Tang beside him, kneeling on one knee, and with a serious face imitating a priest’s tone, said, "Dear beautiful Mr. Tang B, do you accept to spend your life with the man before you?"

"Sorry, I don’t," Clo answered his own question and then popped the bubble with the back of his hand, rolling it into a ball and tossing it into a nearby trash can with a basketball shooting gesture, while cheering "BingGo."

After saying that, he wiped his hand, sticky with gum residue and saliva, on Tang’s uniform, bobbed his head to the rhythm of some imaginary music like a slickster, and complimented, "Nice touch, where’d you get this police uniform? Get me one, will you?"

"..."

Tang, in silence, pulled out a sheet of paper and wiped his uniform. He had been enduring this guy the whole day, and despite his immense patience, he was now starting to feel murderous.

How on earth did this madman manage to press the Three Major Groups into such a corner by confronting them head-on?

At this time, the middle-aged officer who had gone out of the interrogation room entered the observation room. He looked at Tang and Clo, who were emanating an eerie vibe, and pressed something near the edge of his own face.

After a brief, deep mechanical sound, the officer’s face transformed into Tang’s.

"Yo, little Tang kid is here too," Clo whistled, his smile making both Tangs feel like punching him.

This was definitely a special ability.

"Don’t use Tang’s face," but No. 1 Tang, who had been in the observation room the whole time, stopped No. 2 Tang’s face-changing process, "I’m not sure if the original Tang’s incident might happen again, we can’t afford to be attacked and killed simultaneously."

"I understand," No. 2 Tang nodded, and then his face reverted back to that of the middle-aged officer, "Haven’t you arranged for a Spiritual Body to guard the doors of the station?"

"Being extra careful is not a bad thing," No. 1 Tang replied succinctly, but even such precautions couldn’t entirely ease his mind.

The reason was simple: last time, the assassination that defied all logic had killed his original body. The only certainty was that the assailant wasn’t a Key Master because the original body had a custom-made authority blocking device targeting Key Masters, and the device hadn’t activated.

They had no way to defend against such attacks, merely confirming that those Spiritual Entities were able to detect the assailant’s presence.

"Is the person inside lying?" No. 2 Tang asked Clo and No. 1 Tang, who had been in the observation room all along.

No. 1 Tang nodded, "It’s the truth."

And Clo straightened the red-eyed white crow on the pocket of his jacket, his demeanor suddenly serious, his gaze sharp, lips downturned, his tone solemn as he replied, "I don’t know."
