Chapter 361: Chapter 219: Brave Diller, Not Afraid of Difficulties!
"The new Black Wall has already risen?" Sitting in the basement, Diller looked at Jiang Shu, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, though his face showed little change.
"Yes, the entire Fifth District has now been isolated," Jiang Shu nodded, smiling slightly, "I hope I can get information about the new Black Wall and the full plan related to it."
"Why should I tell you?" Diller’s tone was cold as he leaned back in his chair, "Now, all I need to do is wait, and my family will soon find this place."
He smiled confidently, revealing a sharp set of teeth, "And you wouldn’t dare touch me, because if I died, it would be endless war between you and the Dick Family. You wouldn’t survive here in the Fifth District... besides, with the new Black Wall up, you can’t leave the Fifth District either."
If Jiang Shu were alone, he wouldn’t dare mock him like this, but now Jiang Shu had not only his subordinates but also Liu Tingruo around, and he had to consider the consequences of any action, ensuring Jiang Shu wouldn’t make any rash moves.
"In that case, there seems to be nothing to discuss," Jiang Shu shrugged, a look of helplessness appearing on his face, "Fine."
"Heh," Diller chuckled again, harboring other plans in his mind.
Clearly, Jiang Shu wanted to understand the new Black Wall deeply and had to get the answers from him, which inadvertently elevated his own importance and standing.
This, in turn, would give him an upper hand in the upcoming negotiations.
Then he saw Jiang Shu turn and leave the basement.
Huh?
As the silence of isolation returned to the basement with him alone, Diller was slightly stunned. He hadn’t expected Jiang Shu to just walk away like that, making the verbal spar in his mind seem like a joke.
Something wasn’t right—could it be that Jiang Shu actually dared to make a move against him?
Or could the situation with the new Black Wall be entirely different from what he had anticipated?
Had Tang done something?
Multiple guesses flooded Diller’s mind, and he struggled to grasp what that guy was thinking.
After Jiang Shu had spoken those words, he had even unilaterally severed the pathways transmitting pain in his own body, putting himself in a state immune to interrogation.
Outside the basement, in the corridor, Jiang Shu asked the Fox, "How long will it take to complete the memory implantation?"
"He is a T1 from the Research Sequence. If he’s on guard..." the Fox squinted to estimate, "Within a day, if it can be successful it will be within a day; if not successful, then it’ll never happen."
"Hmm," Jiang Shu nodded, then couldn’t help but laugh, "Now, he must be filled with doubt about my departure; is this the special state you were talking about?"
The Fox had told him that if Diller was in a state of emotional turmoil and chaotic thinking, it would be easier to force him into a hypnotic state.
"Not quite," the Fox shook his head, thoughtfully articulating, "Rather, it’s best if he’s in a state of mental strain, very tense, and then suddenly relaxes. In such a state, even if he’s from the Research Sequence, I can easily hypnotize him, provided he’s not a cyber-brain with some special alert mechanism."
"Are you suggesting... I find him a woman?" Jiang Shu tapped his hand, seriously offering a suggested solution.
Fox: "..."
"You’re still thinking about finding a woman in this situation?" He admired Jiang Shu’s train of thought, "And you can’t really arrange a woman logically into this scenario, right? An unreasonable scenario won’t let Diller lower his guard."
"If we absolutely have to... maybe," Jiang Shu scratched his head, sensing the Fox’s skeptical gaze, he quickly spoke seriously again, "But it’s not necessary; I have a better way."
"Oh?"
"Hasn’t he never seen what you look like?" Jiang Shu responded instead.
"Right," the Fox nodded, instantly grasping Jiang Shu’s intention, "So, tonight?"
"That works, prepare a bit though; he’s not the clueless Police from before, not so easily fooled," Jiang Shu replied, heading up the stairs to the ground level, "What do you want to eat tonight?"
Ding: Clueless Police?
Yi: The Wolf Protection Association protests! Protecting the best Wolf in the world!
"Whatever," the Fox followed closely, his indifference not due to indecision, but because he really didn’t know what Jiang Shu would cook; he hadn’t even known before that Jiang Shu could cook.
And he cooked so well.
"Except fish," the Fox added then.
"Why?" Jiang Shu turned, puzzled, "Are you allergic to fish?"
"Too lazy to pick bones," the Fox said succinctly, "It’s just too inefficient when eating."
"Oh," Jiang Shu nodded in understanding, but then casually asked, "If you don’t even have the patience to eat fish, how can you have the patience to treat your patients?"
"Exactly because I make time to study my patients’ data, I can provide them with a better hypnotic experience," the Fox shot a glance at him, exhaling sharply, retorting, "Unlike you, performing Magic inconsistently, celebrating now that the Fifth District is locked down, you’ve got more time to slack off, don’t you?"
Jiang Shu responded with a smile to the Fox’s fiery words.
