Chapter 183: Destressing Activity*
Back in the cave where Mineah and Nikolai were taking a bath, the couple took their time enjoying each other in the warm spring with the glowing lights above.
"I feel bad," Mineah suddenly panted as she lazily rested her head on Nikolai’s shoulder. He was holding her in his arms, her legs still wrapped around his waist as they relaxed. His shaft was still inside her but it only gave her a warm and pleasant feeling as opposed to the pleasure it would normally deal to her.
"Why?" he whispered into her ear.
Despite his tone, he was still so insatiable that he started to play with her earlobe with his mouth again. They had been making love nonstop for a while now, and she had already lost count of how many times she reached heaven. Surprisingly though, she didn’t feel as weak as she would normally be after such a rigorous session.
"The clear and fresh spring..." she trailed off. "We tainted it with our..."
She couldn’t even continue her words. Her face turned red at what was left unsaid, and Nikolai simply chuckled at her as he gave her earlobe a nibble.
"It couldn’t be helped," he uttered, still chuckling at her embarrassment.
"We should go back to Valcrez soon now that we found my brother," she changed the topic with a scoff. "There’s a lot of pending work still left, and I don’t want to be called out as a slacking Queen."
"When do you want to leave then? I just received a report from Taro that Abel and Dani have just arrived in the encampment," Nikolai informed her as he continued peppering kisses across her cheek and neck. "I’m rather surprised to see Abel making an effort like this. He seems serious with Lady Dani."
"I’m surprised with those two as well. It’s good to know that everything is going smoothly with them," Mineah couldn’t help but comment. "Isn’t Abel fascinating despite just being a Curb? He can travel in mist form too. Not all Curbs can develop such abilities even if their maker is a Scion."
It was something, she supposed. She was aware that Lord Fritz, who was Abel’s maker, was a Scion of Queen Mother Rania, and she was pretty sure he didn’t have that much power over him.
"Abel is a hard working man, Mine. Sometimes, a vampire’s ability cannot be attributed solely to pure luck," he casually explained. "He continues to cultivate himself to become more powerful."
Mineah gasped when she felt him suddenly move inside of her. "You..."
She clung onto him tightly as she moaned from his hard length’s sudden movements. He was filling her insides once more, and the calm spring waters around them were once again disturbed by their bodies morphing into one.
As per usual, it was Nikolai who reigned over her body again as he navigated it to his own pleasure. Likewise, Mineah simply submitted to him and let him do as he pleased. She would gladly surrender and keep up with him so long she still had strength in her.
One thing led to another, and after they both reached their climax yet again, Mineah was completely spent.
"Let’s head back to the tent so that you can rest on a comfortable bed," Nikolai finally said.
Mineah smiled as she let him wash and clean her up in the spring. He then carried her in his arms as they both got out of the water. With his magic, it was easy for him to get them both all dried up and dressed.
It was a good day’s rest. Well, it was more of a destressing activity, but she still felt refreshed enough for the days ahead.

Meanwhile, back to Ebodia Encampment, Dani felt dizzy the moment she felt her feet finally touch the ground.
"Are you alright?" Abel asked as he held onto her arm to give her support.
She shook her head. It wasn’t the first time this had happened since they also traveled in Abel’s mist form to visit her parents a few days back, and yet she still couldn’t get used to the feeling of it.
"I’m not. Goodness, I feel so dizzy right now," she groaned as she massaged her temples. "I will definitely not travel back with you to Valcrez like this again. I’d rather board Admiral Sixto’s ship than go through this again!"
"You’ll get used to it soon, Dani," Abel chuckled. "We just need to travel like this more often."
’Is he serious?’ Dani inwardly groaned as she raised her head to look at the still smiling Abel.
Surprisingly, the man managed to make a good impression on her parents. Right now, however, she couldn’t tell if the same thing would happen once he faced her Big Brother Atlas. Her brother was way more protective than her father, and she was sure that her fiance still had his work cut out for him.
As if hearing her thoughts, Abel placed his index finger in the center of her forehead and asked, "What’s with that frown again, Dani?"
Her eyes narrowed. It seemed like this was becoming a habit for him.
"Well, we’re no longer in front of my parents, so there’s no need to drop the formalities now," she pointed out with lifted brows as she deliberately stared at the hand that was holding her arm. "Also, you’re becoming extra touchy right now."
Abel ignored her stern countenance. Instead, he leaned closer to her and whispered into her ear. "But we need to work hard on our chemistry right now. Unless you don’t want to convince your big brother, that is," he casually stated. "How about you try and hug my arms? I do believe the man approaching us right now is your beloved brother."
Dani felt her heart skip a beat as she slowly turned around. Seeing Atlas’s gloomy face, she gulped as she watched him approach them.
"I heard you finally arrived," Atlas said with a questioning tone. "How come you’re dilly-dallying instead of looking for me as soon as you arrived?"
Dani held an awkward smile as she prepared herself to introduce Abel to him. "Brother, this is Chancellor Abel Ivanov, my betrothed." She then looked at Abel and proudly stated, "Abel, please greet my big brother, Atlas Wright, the Great Constable of Ebodia."
"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lord Atlas," Abel politely greeted as he extended his hand out to the man for a handshake.
Dani watched anxiously as her brother moved to accept the gesture. A few seconds passed, and she cringed upon seeing how her brother was still not letting Abel’s hand go. He was holding onto his hand rather tightly. Thankfully, Abel was a vampire so this bit of pain was nothing to him. He simply needed to endure and not fight back against her brother’s pettiness.
"Brother, that’s enough for introductions," Dani scolded. "How about you let Abel greet His Majesty first?"
"It’s already too late for that. His Majesty is already resting with Her Majesty, Queen Mineah," Atlas sternly mentioned. "Besides, I’m sure you’re tired, Dani. I shall have someone escort you to your tent. You can go on ahead. Chancellor Abel here and I here still have a lot to discuss..."
Ah...
Dani shrugged. She was too tired for this kind of confrontation right now. As such, she smiled and turned to Abel as she enthusiastically said, "I’ll go on ahead then. Take care of my brother, alright?"
Turning around, she held her breath as she escaped the brewing argument she left behind. She was so glad to escape that situation. She had no time nor patience to bear Atlas’s scolding and nagging while she was still dizzy like that. She would need to rest and recharge first.
For now, she would let Abel handle the first wave of nagging that was meant for her.
