The Crown's Seduction -
Chapter 175: Save Her
Chapter 175: Save Her
"This will take forever," she couldn’t help but mutter at her assessment. Thinking quickly, she turned to Wizard Lurio and asked, "Do you think you can alter the barrier spell a bit? I’ll create a teleportation portal near the vacant space on Tarah’s side so that they can safely return to the encampment themselves. I’ll block the enemies from that side as well to make sure none can follow them."
"That will be very dangerous, Your Majesty," Wizard Lurio remarked.
Mineah gravely nodded. She was aware that she would be surrounded by enemies if she did her plan, but she couldn’t just let Ezekiel fall into the hands of the Demon King. If it ever happened, her brother would truly perish for good!
"There’s no other choice," she firmly stated. "Keep the barrier up. No one should be able to escape until I can secure Brother and Tarah through the teleportation portal."
"But Your Majesty..."
Without hesitation, Mineah ignored the worried wizard. "Do it now."
She waited anxiously as wizard Lurio altered his spell. From where he stood, the older man was already sweating because he was also fighting off Zoran’s magic from trying to break the barrier.
Truly, the man was indeed powerful if he could do this while also fighting Nikolai.
"Done," Wizard Lurio weakly informed.
Mineah quickly nodded as she focused on her part of the plan. [Lai, keep your friend busy,] she informed her husband through their bond. [I’ll teleport Ezekiel and Tarah away first.]
[Wha-]
She didn’t bother waiting for Nikolai’s response as she instantly created a teleportation portal and went inside. It then quickly vanished before instantly reappearing beside Tarah and Ezekiel.
"Tarah, go bring Brother inside the portal with you immediately," Mineah advised. "This will teleport you to the encampment."
"You!" Zoran yelled at her the moment he noticed what she was doing by the sidelines.
"Attack her! Don’t let them escape!"
"Quickly!" Mineah screamed. "I won’t be able to hold this for much longer!"
Taking the hint, Tarah nodded and promptly dragged Ezekiel’s body through the portal with her with all her might.
"Mine!" Nikolai called out to her as he hastily moved in front of her and fought off the beasts trying to get near her. He shouted with reckless abandon, killing anything that dare to go near her. "I will kill all of you!!!"
Mineah couldn’t help but smile at her husband’s antics. In fact, she was about to give him a brief wave as she was about to leave when her body suddenly stiffened. A strong energy signature just stopped her from closing the teleportation portal, and she didn’t know where it came from.
"What-"
Turning around, her eyes widened as she came face to face with Zoran. She immediately moved her left hand to cast a protective spell against him, but that wasn’t all she had to try and stall him.
"You’re taking revenge on the wrong person!" she deliberately revealed. "Nikolai didn’t kill Dahlia! It was all Rosela’s doing!"
Zoran paused. "You! What are you..."
"She’s telling the truth!"
Tarah?
Mineah’s eyes widened as she watched Tarah come out of the teleportation portal. What was she doing?! She was heading towards Zoran... Was she insane?!
"See it for yourself!" Tarah bellowed as she grabbed Zoran’s hand and touched the barrier she created.
Mineah could only stare and gawk Tarah’s eyes turned white while Zoran’s body stiffened. He wasn’t moving, and from there, she saw through his eyes what exactly was happening to them. Tarah was showing him what happened in the past, and...
Wait... So Tarah wasn’t only a Seer... She also held the power of clairvoyance to see through the past!
Still, that wasn’t the first thing that she had to focus on at the moment. Seeing all the distractions happening, Mineah took that opportunity and called out to her allies.
"Brother is secured!" she rallied out. "Wizard Lurio, go and enter the portal!"
With the wizard already struggling to hold onto the barrier, he quickly nodded and hastily entered the portal she created. Seeing his escape, Mineah then turned to the other person that needed rescuing.
"Tarah, that’s enough! Go back inside the portal before it closes!" Mineah shouted out, even though there was no guarantee that the woman could even hear her.
Sure enough, the seer didn’t even look like she heard her.
Mineah inwardly cursed. She couldn’t leave Tarah behind. Looking at her husband, Nikolai was currently getting close to killing off all of the monsters Zoran brought with him that kept on trying to attack her.
She knew she didn’t have much time. "Tarah!"
Thankfully, it seemed that Tarah heard her this time as her eyes turned back to their original hue. Looking at Zoran’s eyes, Mineah unknowingly read his thoughts.
[It’s not Nikolai’s fault... But he must not find out that... Dahlia... Dahlia is alive and with me. He’ll surely take her away from me... I still have to kill him!!!]
Mineah almost froze. ’What... What does he mean that Dahlia is alive?!’
But before she could ponder on that piece of information further, Zoran blinked as he regained his bearings. Cursing he shouted as a powerful burst of energy erupted from where he stood.
Immediately, Mineah’s protective barrier cracked.
"Tarah! Quickly!"
Mineah was barely holding on as she waited for Tarah to enter the portal. Seconds ticked by as right before the portal closed, the seer managed to get inside, and Mineah’s knees wobbled as her protective barrier finally burst and vanished. She was defenseless now...
Seeing her prone state, Zoran’s eyes blackened as a dark mist seeped from his aura. "You... I should take you in as a replacement for your brother."
Mineah weakly sat by and watched as Zoran then created a sphere around her. With a gesture of his hand, he pulled her body closer to him. But before he could even touch her...
"You!" Nikolai screamed in outrage as he landed a singular punch on Zoran. "How dare you lay a finger on my wife!?"
It all happened so fast... The only Mineah remembered was that her body floating inside the sphere, and that... that her husband was out there trying to save her.
