So Ye Chaochao immediately went to the hospital for a check-up, excited and smiling all the way.

Although Ji Yanlin was important, her brother was important too.

With their parents not at home and her brother not dating, if she didn’t go home to keep him company, he would feel really lonely. Just thinking about it made her realize how pitiful her brother was!

Her brother treated her so well, yet she was so indifferent towards him. Reflecting on this, Ye Chaochao felt she had been really harsh.

"Alright, I’ll cook dinner tonight," Shen Wenzhou said.

"I want sweet and sour ribs!" Ye Chaochao quickly ordered.

Shen Wenzhou was a good cook, especially skilled at making sweet and sour ribs, a favorite dish of the women in the house.

"Alright." Shen Wenzhou couldn’t help but smile.

After hanging up the phone, Ye Chaochao turned to Ji Yanlin, blinked her eyes, and said with an innocent look, "I’m going home tonight."

Ji Yanlin raised his eyebrows slightly. Ye Chaochao explained, "I haven’t been home to visit my brother recently. He’s really lonely by himself."

"Ha!" Ji Yanlin chuckled, seemingly amused but also a bit helpless.

"I’m not mad at you, don’t overthink it!" Ye Chaochao said.

Ji Yanlin nodded, "Alright, I’ll drive you home."

Ji Yanlin raised his hand to place it on Ye Chaochao’s head. He had been carefully protecting her head recently. Now that she was finally okay, he playfully messed up her hair.

Ye Chaochao felt speechless because of Ji Yanlin’s behavior. She didn’t move and let Ji Yanlin’s childish act ruin her hair.

Ji Yanlin kept looking at Ye Chaochao and saw the small scar on her forehead that hadn’t completely faded. He gently touched it with his finger.

"Let’s go." Ji Yanlin lowered his hand and grabbed Ye Chaochao’s hand, leading her outside.

Half an hour later, Ji Yanlin’s car stopped in front of the Bihai Bay Villa.

"I’m going in?" Ye Chaochao said as she unbuckled her seatbelt, her eyes still on Ji Yanlin.

Ji Yanlin didn’t say anything. He reached out, pulled Ye Chaochao towards him, kissed her, then quickly let go, "Go on in."

Ye Chaochao didn’t say anything further, knowing that if she did, they’d keep dragging on.

Opening the car door and stepping out, Ye Chaochao waved at Ji Yanlin and then turned to walk into the villa.

Looking at Ye Chaochao’s departing figure, Ji Yanlin felt a bit helpless. He believed Shen Wenzhou had deliberately called Ye Chaochao back today.

Perhaps he had heard something.
