"Zhouzhou, say goodbye to your parents. We’re going inside," Li Xin said.

Zhouzhou turned to his parents and said, "Goodbye, Mom and Dad."

"Zhouzhou, listen to the teacher and remember to go to the teacher if anything happens," Ye Wanwan reminded him, still concerned.

Even the usually composed Shen Yi said softly to Zhouzhou, "When school is over, Mom and Dad will come to pick you up."

Parents were not allowed into the kindergarten except on open days, but there were cameras in every classroom and even in the dormitories, allowing parents to check the surveillance as needed.

After that, the head teacher led Zhouzhou inside. Zhouzhou kept looking back every three steps but didn’t cry.

Ye Wanwan stood at the gate, watching until she could no longer see him, still standing on tiptoe.

Shen Yi stood with Ye Wanwan for a while before finally saying, "Let’s go back now. We’ll come together this afternoon to pick Zhouzhou up."

Ye Wanwan looked at Shen Yi and reluctantly nodded in agreement.

Shen Yi had to go to his company, so Uncle Zhang dropped Shen Yi off at Jinghong first, then took Ye Wanwan back to Bihai Bay.
