He thought there had been some emergency and hurriedly called Ye Wanwan to ask, only to find out that she had completely forgotten about Valentine’s Day, as well as the date he had prepared in advance.

"Mhm, I know," Ye Wanwan slurred sleepily, still not fully awake.

Shen Yi looked at Ye Wanwan with her eyes still closed, appearing as if she couldn’t wake up, and let out a helpless sigh.

Shen Yi went over to say hello to Zhouzhou, then mentioned he was going out for work before leaving the house.

As he drove out of the villa, Shen Yi saw Zhouzhou standing at the villa entrance, holding Taozhi in his arms, but Zhouzhou couldn’t hold on properly because Taozhi was too heavy and only grasped Taozhi’s upper body.

Fortunately, Taozhi was obedient, especially in front of Zhouzhou, not struggling, scratching, or clawing at him. It was evident that Zhouzhou was there to see him off.

Shen Yi felt a twinge of guilt deep down. He coughed lightly and cleared his throat. Tonight, he would have to leave Zhouzhou and Ye Wanwan behind to enjoy a world of two.

Zhouzhou was so well-behaved; he was sure to not make a fuss. But the better Zhouzhou behaved, the more Shen Yi felt for him.

After some thought, to make it up to Zhouzhou, Shen Yi decided to buy him a limited edition model. Although Zhouzhou did not like it now, he believed Zhouzhou would appreciate it in the future.

In the afternoon, close to the end of the workday, Shen Yi sent a message to Ye Wanwan, reminding her of the date in the evening.

Ye Wanwan responded quickly, and Shen Yi exhaled in relief, a faint smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

After work, Shen Yi directly went to the agreed-upon restaurant. By then, the restaurant already had quite a few couples. Shen Yi went up to the third floor and sat down by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The setting sun in the west dyed half the sky red, creating a stunning scene.

Shen Yi checked the time, thinking that Ye Wanwan should be almost there, and instinctively looked up towards the direction of the stairs.

Just then someone came up, and Shen Yi saw the carefully dressed Ye Wanwan, along with Zhouzhou, who looked exceptionally cute in his shorts and short sleeves.

Shen Yi’s smile stiffened for a moment. Wasn’t it supposed to be a world for two?

Why did she have to bring Zhouzhou along?

Okay, he did not mean to dislike Zhouzhou; he just thought that today was supposed to be a world for him and Ye Wanwan alone.

However, when Zhouzhou saw his dad and wriggled free from Ye Wanwan’s hand, running towards him, Shen Yi still stood up and lifted the charging Zhouzhou into his arms.

"Daddy!" Zhouzhou called out sweetly.

Shen Yi held him and asked softly, "Weren’t you going to grandma’s?"

Zhouzhou blinked but did not speak.

Ye Wanwan walked over, "He had a bit of a fever this afternoon, so I didn’t send him over, I was worried."

"A fever?" Shen Yi frowned as he looked at Zhouzhou, then quickly placed his forehead against Zhouzhou’s to check the temperature, but he couldn’t really feel Zhouzhou’s warmth that way.
