The couple hadn’t had dinner before arriving, but fortunately, there was plenty of food prepared at the banquet.

Shen Yi didn’t even have the slightest impression of the man, couldn’t recall which company he was from or what he did. But once the man caught Shen Yi’s unwelcoming look, he turned and left.

When Shen Yi walked over, the ladies chatting with Ye Wanwan had already noticed him.

After a brief conversation, Shen Yi smoothly slipped his arm around Ye Wanwan’s shoulders and walked away.

The ladies who had been talking with them looked at their retreating figures with either envy or disdain.

And, after bringing Ye Wanwan to the side, Shen Yi took off his suit jacket.

"What are you doing?" asked Ye Wanwan, looking at Shen Yi in confusion.

Shen Yi didn’t say much but draped the jacket over Ye Wanwan’s shoulders after taking it off.

Alright, forgive him for not being magnanimous enough, as he was unwilling to let some tactless people keep ogling Ye Wanwan.

"The air conditioning is a bit cold, wear it," Shen Yi said in a matter-of-fact manner.

Ye Wanwan looked at Shen Yi and couldn’t help but laugh out loud; she wasn’t oblivious to the fact that her dress was backless.

Earlier, while chatting, some had complimented her on how nice the gown looked, and others had teased her, asking how Shen Yi could allow her to wear such a dress.

Seeing Ye Wanwan laugh, Shen Yi simply gave her a look, leaving her to understand the implication.

For the rest of the event, Shen Yi was in a white shirt and black suit trousers, while his jacket remained on his wife’s shoulders.

Ye Wanwan had gained a small but passionate following from her two-day stint on a variety show, and as soon as the banquet photos were released, her fans began to swoon over her and Shen Yi.

As the charity banquet drew to a close, Shen Yi took Ye Wanwan to leave early.

Once they were seated in the car, Ye Wanwan immediately slumped over as if boneless, leaning against Shen Yi’s shoulder.
