Chapter 530: Chapter 529: Why Doesn’t He Like to Talk?
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Ye Wanwan and Zhouzhou, Shen Yi was also watching the live broadcast.
Rather than watching, it would be more accurate to say he was listening. Shen Yi had the live broadcast playing while he dealt with his documents, multitasking to the fullest.
It wasn’t until a milky, yet incredibly clear "Xiaocao" came through that Shen Yi paused, slightly startled.
By the time he regained his bearings and looked towards the live broadcast, he saw Ye Wanwan feigning calmness as she praised Zhouzhou.
But Shen Yi knew Ye Wanwan all too well and was acutely aware of how excited she must be at that moment. It seemed that what he had just heard was not his imagination.
Shen Yi couldn’t help but smile, his lips curving upwards, then he lowered his head and continued with his work.
Ye Wanwan didn’t just see flocks of sheep, later on, they also spotted cows, but Zhouzhou just pointed them out to Ye Wanwan without saying a word.
Ye Wanwan wasn’t disheartened, though, she kept talking to Zhouzhou all the way until they arrived at a village.
Whilst still in the car, they could see staff members standing at the entrance of the village, and it seemed some celebrity guests had already arrived.
As the car drove by, the people outside began waving and greeting. Ye Wanwan recognized one of them as movie queen Su Tong, with her five-year-old daughter Wu Yaxi, and another as Olympic champion Zhang Xuehan, who was with her four-year-old son Xiao Yu.
Wu Yaxi and Xiao Yu, the two little friends, were very extroverted. Seeing the car approach, they were already waving and greeted with their childlike voices, "Hello!"
Ye Wanwan, still inside the car, also held Zhouzhou’s hand and greeted the kids, "Hello."
Once the car stopped, the staff got out first, followed by Ye Wanwan, who carried Zhouzhou off the car.
In an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar people, Zhouzhou didn’t cry, but he instinctively hugged Ye Wanwan’s neck, clearly a bit nervous.
"Don’t be scared, Zhouzhou, Mommy is here, Mommy will protect you," Ye Wanwan whispered soothingly to Zhouzhou as she held him and walked towards them.
"Hello," Su Tong and Zhang Xuehan began to greet Ye Wanwan with their kids, even while still at a distance.
Ye Wanwan greeted them in return and when they got closer, she couldn’t shake hands since she was carrying Zhouzhou.
Su Tong and Zhang Xuehan didn’t mind, and they all introduced themselves. The two kids didn’t wait for the adults to speak and introduced themselves to Ye Wanwan, then kept their eyes on Zhouzhou in her arms.
Ye Wanwan squatted down, letting Zhouzhou stand. Although Zhouzhou still clung to her, he looked at the older children in front of him with both curiosity and a seeming lack of interest.
"Zhouzhou, this is Sister Yaxi and Brother Xiao Yu. We’ll all be together for the next few days, and you can play with them," said Ye Wanwan.
Zhouzhou glanced at Ye Wanwan then back at the two who were clearly his peers. He made no move, still holding onto Ye Wanwan’s neck.
Having no other choice, Ye Wanwan introduced Zhouzhou on his behalf, "Hello Yaxi, Xiao Yu. This is my little brother, Shen Wenzhou. You can call him Zhouzhou. He just doesn’t like to talk much."
"Why doesn’t Zhouzhou like to talk?" Xiao Yu didn’t understand why someone wouldn’t like to talk.
