After Doctor Li left, Shen Yi stood alone in the quiet corridor for several minutes until he had his emotions under control. That’s when he turned back to the ward.

Although it was the middle of the night, Ye Wanwan had not a hint of sleepiness and was sitting up in bed, waiting for Shen Yi to return.
