Chapter 469: Chapter 468 She Has No Regrets
The sound of the hairdryer suddenly stopped, and Ye Wanwan returned to reality from the memories of her past life, seeing Shen Yi behind her, looking at her through the mirror.
Ye Wanwan lifted the corners of her mouth and sweetly smiled at Shen Yi. She had truly let go of everything from her past life.
Shen Yi withdrew his gaze and calmly placed the hairdryer back in its original spot, then bent down and picked Ye Wanwan up.
Ye Wanwan seemed to have completely forgotten her embarrassment at the moment; her slender arms wrapped around Shen Yi’s neck.
She slightly tilted her head upwards to look at Shen Yi’s profile, her eyes brimming with love. She had no regrets about falling in love with Shen Yi again.
Because he was worth it!
Shen Yi carried Ye Wanwan back to the bed, and as he looked at the person lying there, the originally inconspicuous lace shawl had slid down her shoulders, revealing her fair and plump shoulders.
And at that moment, Ye Wanwan was looking at him, and Shen Yi felt as if he could see a myriad of stars within her eyes.
Shen Yi leaned down, kissed her eyes, and then captured her red lips.
Ye Wanwan, with her eyes closed, subconsciously reached out to grasp onto something, and then she grasped Shen Yi’s hand.
Their fingers interlocked tightly, held together as if nothing in the world could separate them.
...
Zhouzhou had already turned one month old, and Shen Yi could no longer justify having his elderly father manage the company in his stead, so he officially started going back to work.
Yet, it seemed Shen Yi was destined to worry. He constantly found himself sending messages or making calls to check on things back home.
In the afternoon, after wrapping up his work, Shen Yi was ready to head home. On his way, he picked up milk tea and cake for Ye Wanwan from the company building’s ground floor.
On the road, his driver navigated the traffic while Shen Yi was reviewing documents. Suddenly looking puzzled, Shen Yi asked, "What’s happening?"
They seemed to have been stopped for several minutes, longer than any traffic light would account for.
"Seems like there’s been an accident ahead," the driver informed Shen Yi as he looked back. The scene was too distant to discern what precisely had happened, but it was usually only accidents that caused such blockages.
Shen Yi surveyed his surroundings; they were surrounded by cars, trapped in the middle with no alternative route available. With no options left, they could only wait for the accident ahead to be cleared.
Thinking about the delay in getting home made Shen Yi slightly furrow his brow, but there was nothing he could do but continue to work through his documents.
About twenty minutes later when the traffic began to move, Shen Yi instinctively stopped his work and looked out the car window.
After the car had traveled a short distance, Shen Yi’s gaze suddenly froze on a particular spot. He narrowed his eyes as if he needed to confirm he wasn’t seeing things incorrectly.
Outside the car window, by the side of the road, he saw Ren Yushi standing next to a car, its rear trunk concaved deeply from the collision, with another car behind it, its front bumper nearly falling off.
The car Shen Yi was in continued to move, and in the last glance, he spotted Qin Yanbo standing by another vehicle!
Ren Yushi and Qin Yanbo!
How did they end up crashing into each other?
Had it been anyone else, this could have been just an ordinary traffic incident.
But once the people involved turned out to be Ren Yushi and Qin Yanbo, Shen Yi felt it was no accident!
