Ye Wanwan had unwrapped all the parcels, and even the tiny baby clothes, like the pink ones, could fit Zhouzhou. After all, it was just a color a bit more suited for girls.

She didn’t know if it was because the little dresses were too pretty or if Song Ziyi and the others wished for a baby girl, but they had bought so many of them.

But there was nothing to be done; Zhouzhou was a boy, and these little dresses were destined to be unused.

Shen Yi looked at the pile of stuff, from clothes to tiny baby shoes, to bottles and toys; they had everything.

And these weren’t prepared by him, the father. Shen Yi decided then and there that he would go out and pick some suitable clothes and shoes for the baby over the weekend.

Shen Yi had this matter on his mind, so as soon as it was Friday night, he discussed the next day’s itineraries with Ye Wanwan.

Previously on weekends, Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan would visit their parents, but now that they were worried about Ye Wanwan moving around too much, they simply arranged for both sets of parents to come over for a meal on Saturday morning.

After they had finished eating, the parents left, and they could rest at noon. In the afternoon, he planned to take Wanwan out for a stroll where they could enjoy some shopping and buy clothes for the baby.

Ye Wanwan was a bit sleepy, mumbling an agreement as Shen Yi spoke. By the time Shen Yi finished talking, he found that Ye Wanwan had already fallen asleep in his arms.

Shen Yi couldn’t help but laugh and cry. Holding the sleeping Ye Wanwan, he too fell into a deep sleep.

When Ye Wanwan woke up, Shen Yi was no longer in the bedroom. She came out of the bedroom and was about to go downstairs when, from the corridor looking down, she saw Ye’s father and mother and Shen’s father and mother sitting in the living room.

Her cheeks were hot, slightly embarrassed, since she knew that the elders were coming over today, and yet she had overslept.

Thinking of that, Ye Wanwan blamed Shen Yi because she had clearly said she wanted to set an alarm, but Shen Yi insisted it wasn’t necessary, saying he would wake her up when it was time.

It wasn’t until the soup was heated and brought out from the kitchen that Shen Yi found an opportunity to accompany Ye Wanwan to the dining table to start drinking the soup.

At noon, the family ate together. After the meal, the elders left with tact.

Ye Wanwan couldn’t sleep anymore, so the two of them sat in the living room, snuggled up and rested for a while. When it was a little past one, they headed out.
