When Shen Yi awoke, he picked up his phone from the bedside and saw it was after three in the afternoon.

Then he turned to look at Ye Wanwan, who was nestled in his arms and deeply asleep, seemingly without any intention of waking up soon.

Shen Yi watched her affectionately and smiled indulgently. He gently lowered his head and kissed her forehead, then carefully observed her for any movements while cautiously withdrawing his hand.

After getting out of bed, Shen Yi adjusted the corners of her blanket before turning to leave the bedroom.

Used to being busy, Shen Yi felt somewhat out of place having a moment of leisure. He went downstairs and saw the butler and the servant organizing the kitchen ingredients.

Considering that Ye Wanwan had only eaten something casual for lunch, and since he had no other pressing matters, he decided he might as well do the cooking himself.

When Ye Wanwan groggily woke up, she found herself in the bedroom, but Shen Yi was not there.

Although she still felt vaguely uncomfortable all over, she got out of bed, put on her shoes, and left the bedroom to look for Shen Yi.

Once she reached the ground floor and didn’t see Shen Yi anywhere, she felt a touch of irritability, whether from not feeling well or not being fully awake yet, her brow furrowed slightly.

Fortunately, a servant saw her standing there in the living room and came over to inquire, "Madam?"

Ye Wanwan looked up at the servant, who seemed to guess what she was looking for and said with a smile, "The Master is personally cooking in the kitchen."

"Thank you." Even though Ye Wanwan felt somewhat peeved, she still politely thanked the servant before heading towards the kitchen.

At the entrance of the kitchen, Ye Wanwan saw Shen Yi wearing an apron and stir-frying in the kitchen.

"Madam." Shen Yi was busy with cooking and hadn’t noticed Ye Wanwan; it was the chef assisting him that first spotted her.

Hearing the voice, Shen Yi looked back at Ye Wanwan, "Dinner will be ready soon, just wait a little longer."

Ye Wanwan didn’t say anything, just stood there watching Shen Yi bustling about in the kitchen until he finished preparing the last dish.

The servant took out the finished dishes one by one, and Shen Yi washed his hands before removing his apron and finally came out of the kitchen.

By then, Ye Wanwan was still standing at the kitchen doorway. Shen Yi touched her head with a tenderly indulgent look and asked, "Are you awake now?"

Ye Wanwan didn’t speak but simply reached out to hug Shen Yi. She didn’t really know if she was still half asleep or what, but she just felt vaguely uncomfortable, uncomfortable all over.

But to say she felt truly unwell wasn’t quite right either; she just felt tired.

Shen Yi’s smile grew wider at Ye Wanwan’s gesture. He stroked her head and said softly, "Alright, let’s go eat. I made every dish tonight."

She couldn’t clearly define whether it was a lack of appetite or if she wasn’t hungry; either way, she had no desire to eat.

But out of consideration for Shen Yi’s effort in cooking, Ye Wanwan still picked up her chopsticks, intending to eat a little bit.

Yet every one of her movements was noticed by Shen Yi. She hadn’t eaten much at noon, so Shen Yi understood that she might not have an appetite due to lack of rest.

After all, they had been apart for a month, and last night, he had been somewhat unrestrained.
