Assistant Chen also smiled, "It’s all part of the job."

"Wanwan said she promised to give you a raise," Shen Yi said as he stepped into the car. Before closing the door, he added, "Tell HR, after we return to the country your rank should be promoted."

"Thank you for the promotion, Mr. Shen," Assistant Chen’s face was all smiles, which was much more rewarding than a previous double bonus.

When Ye Wanwan woke up, she was dazed for a while before remembering she was at Shen Yi’s place.

She frowned and glanced around the bedroom, seeing no sign of Shen Yi. Clearly, he wasn’t there, but she faintly remembered him mentioning he had to go to the office today.

Ye Wanwan sighed, picked up her phone from the nightstand, and saw it was already past ten in the morning. Shen Yi had sent her a WeChat message telling her he’d gone to work and that breakfast was in the kitchen.

Ye Wanwan yawned, casually placed her phone beside the pillow, and closed her eyes, seemingly falling back asleep.

About ten minutes later, Ye Wanwan opened her eyes, turned over, and hurriedly got out of bed to go to the washroom.

After freshening up, Ye Wanwan listlessly left the bedroom and saw the sandwich and milk Shen Yi had prepared in the open kitchen.

Ye Wanwan sat down at the dining table to eat breakfast, continually fighting the urge to close her eyes, still looking sleepy.

Even though she had woken up so late, she seemed completely unrefreshed.

After dragging through breakfast, Ye Wanwan finally perked up a bit, sat down on the sofa, and flipped through her phone.

"I will finish work soon and come back to take you out for lunch," said Shen Yi.
