Chapter 72: Confused

"Alright, alright, I will go now." Darren hurried to his feet and walked towards the stairs, but before he went down, he turned his body and looked at the crown prince, "Your Highness... Tomorrow are you coming to the Moon mansion?" Darren asked.

Leon furrowed his brows, confused... "Why should I go there? Is there an event?"

"I know it. Your Highness must forget." Darren smiles before continuing his words, "Your Highness, tomorrow night is Anders’ birthday party...."

Leon was stunned. He completely forgot.

"Darren, I’m not coming. I have important things to do...." For now, he will not go anywhere. He must guard Allynna before she is healthy.

Darren, who hears the Crown Prince’s words, is suddenly shocked. Only this time, the Crown Prince refused to come to the Moon Castle to attend the event. Usually, he would definitely come no matter how busy he was.

Why did he suddenly change?

"Darren..." Leon called. Darren snapped out of his mind. He saw the crown prince. "You can go now...." Leon said impatiently.

After seeing Darren’s back disappear, he rushed into Allynna’s room. He would wait for her until she woke up. However, he accompanied Allynna in the room all night, but there was no sign of her waking up. After midnight he decided to go back to his room to sleep.

Next Morning.

When Allynna woke up from her sleep, she was surprised to find herself asleep with a clean white nightgown on her soft bed. She quickly sat up and examined her entire body clean without any scars.

"Am I in heaven now?" She murmurs while looking around. She frowned when she realized she was still in her bedroom. "This is not heaven!? This is my bedroom...."

Allyna was getting confused.

If this wasn’t a dream, why was there no scar on her body at all?

Still imprinted clearly in her mind about yesterday’s accident, she felt her leg pierced by a sharp object. Not only that but her chest was also stabbed by wood and hit by hard rock.

But now, her body was completely unharmed, smooth like nothing happened to her.

What is this?

Allynna got out of bed. She immediately found a mirror to look at her face. Again, she was shocked by what she saw. There was no trace of a wound on her face. Whereas yesterday her face was cut by a sharp branch, and she could smell the blood. But now, her face is smooth as ever.

Instantly, her heart was beating fast. She was so scared.

Without thinking of anything, she ran to the door and opened it. When she came out to the living room area, she saw Leon sitting on the couch while holding a teacup in his hand. He looked neatly wearing his formal outfit.

When their eyes looked at each other, she felt goosebumps. Because the man she loves can see her. It means now she is still alive!

"Allynna... are you awake?" Leon said while placing his teacup on the table. He arose from his couch and walked at her, and then his eyes landed on her bare feet. "Can you put on your slippers before you leave your room?" Leon said softly.

But Allynna ignored him. She ran fast towards him.

Leon was surprised to see the girl running with a face that looked so happy.

"Allynna..." Leon couldn’t finish his sentence because the girl threw her tiny body into his arms at this moment. Instantly his body stiffened.

"Brother Leon..." Her voice trembled, and her eyes felt blurry. She is so happy because the man she loves is in front of her. She also rejoices because she does not die.

Allynna hugged his sturdy waist and inhaled the distinctive fragrance of his body until she was satisfied.

Leon was still frozen at the sudden physical contact. He didn’t know what to do. After a few seconds, he slowly raised his hand and touched her soft hair gently, and his other hand landed on her back. Then he felt his clothes were wet.

He was stunned when he realized the girl in his arms was crying.

"Allynna...what happened? Why are you crying?" He whispers near her ear without releasing his embrace. When his heart said he had to let her go, but his mind said otherwise. He chooses to keep hugging her. He feels something magical when they embrace so tight like this.

But in the blink of an eye, he heard what she thought. Making his heart freeze in shock.

Does the girl still remember yesterday’s accident? How come?

Leon immediately let go of his embrace and saw her face. Allynna’s face wasn’t pale anymore, but it was blushing, and her jade-like eyes were a little red because she had just cried. When he saw the traces of her tears still rolled down to her cheeks, his hand wanted to erase the tears, but he stopped his hand. He saw Allynna wipe the rest of her tears with her hands.

Silently he took a deep sigh because, at this moment, his mind was distracted by the girl’s charm. He immediately turned his gaze away from her, trying to calm his heart and mind.

"Brother Leon," Her soft and slightly shaking voice made Leon look back at her. She continued, "I feel so happy because I’m still alive. Yesterday, I experienced such a terrible incident. I almost lost my life, and I was so badly injured...that I thought I would not be able to survive and follow my parents up there...." She paused because she felt what she said was different from reality.

Yesterday she still clearly remembered that her whole body was covered in wounds, but why now there was no trace of any injury on her body.

And what confused her the most was Brother Leon’s reaction. He looked so calm like nothing had happened to her. Even though she knows Leon always cares for her, he will scold her even for small things like not wearing slippers.

Allynna, staring at his eyes sincerely, wanted to check something from there, but after a few seconds, she found nothing. Leon, in front of him, was acting as usual. There was no trace of worry or sadness in his eyes.

She became confused. Was yesterday’s incident just her dream?
