Chapter 56: She Woke Up

He appears next to Allynna’s bed. The gloomy face that had been adorning his face instantly faded.

Like the previous days, Leon just remained in Allynna’s room doing all his activities. Including monitoring Royal Intelligent and some of his other affairs.

He was so immersed in what he was doing without him realizing that it had turned dark outside, and a full moon shone brightly on a dark night. There was no other sound in the room, only the sound of the keyboard as he typed.

"B-Brother Leon..." A hoarse, faint, but lovely voice called out his name.

Leon instantly felt his blood swishing. He turned towards the bed, and his eyes widened. Immediately he stood up and approached the bed.

"Allynna... are you awake!?" Leon asks.

His voice trembled between shock and delight to see the silver light that had engulfed and protected Allynna for these five days disappear. And now, she had opened her eyes. But she still looks pale.

"How are you? Can you wake up?" He asks her again while sitting on the side of her bed. He wanted to touch her forehead to check her temperature, but he paused when he saw her move.

Allynna was surprised when she woke up and saw Leon was in her room using her study table. She wanted to wake up, but it felt like needles were pricking her body. "Brother Leon, I’m fine. But I can hardly move my body. It feels so stiff and painful on my back..." She winced at the pain she felt from her back.

"Let me help you...." Leon said, then he took Allynna’s hand and helped her sit straight. "Does anything else hurt besides your back?" He tilted his head, trying to see her expression.

Allynna shook her head slowly. Besides her back, she didn’t feel anything and didn’t feel pain anywhere else. It looks like her back hurts and is stiff because she’s been sleeping in one position for a long time.

"Brother... Why are you in my room?" Allynna glanced out the window and saw that it was still dark, making her confused. She felt that she had been sleeping for a long time. How come it was still dark when she woke up?

Before Leon could answer, Allynna continued her sentence...

"Aah, so brother waited for me all night afraid I would go through a transition period?" She smiled at him. Her heart instantly felt warm because Leon was paying so much attention to her. She felt blessed.

Leon smiled at this girl as if she hadn’t realized that she had gone through a transition period.

"Brother... unfortunately, tonight, my transition period didn’t happen? Is there another case of someone not having a change on the eve of their birthday?" She was confused because she didn’t feel anything. There is no pain like Leon said. Nothing changed in her body.

"Allynna... your transition time is over. You have successfully gone through it." He said. He can’t help but laugh in his heart hearing Allynna’s thoughts. And at the same time, he was happy because he could still hear what she was thinking because, for 5 days, he couldn’t read her mind. That has made him feel like he has lost something precious.

"W-What? But I feel nothing...." Allynna stood up, but she almost fell. Her legs and knees were feeling weak like they had not been used for several days. Leon, who sat next to her, immediately grabbed her hand and back.

Allynna was shocked by the sudden condition, "What is this!?" she said while observing her body part, then suddenly she understood something. She asked Leon, who was still sitting while holding her hand, "Brother, how long have I been in transition? What day is it today?"

"Come, have a seat...." Leon still held her hand. He slowly led her to sit on the sofa. After she sat, he also sat facing her. "Allynna, you’ve been sleeping since 4 nights ago, and you just woke up today. Today is day 5."

Allynna was shocked.

Did she sleep for nearly 5 days? No wonder when she wakes up, her body feels stiff, especially in her back. And now she felt starving and thirsty...

"Ok, you need to hydrate. Drink this first..." Leon handed her a glass of water.

Allynna quickly finished in no time, then glanced at him wanting to ask about their dinner. As usual, Leon knew what she was thinking, making her pleased...because she doesn’t need to be exhausted from talking because Leon knows what she wants.

"Our dinner will be ready soon." He said while sending a text to Geoffrey.

"Brother, if you’re saying I have passed the transition successfully, wouldn’t that mean my ability is active now? I mean... Do you really mean it when you say my transition period is over?" She was confused because she didn’t feel any pain during the transition. And even now, she also didn’t feel any changes in her body or any surge of power. This makes her wonder and a little bit disappointed.

Leon laughed before saying, "It will appear slowly... not necessarily right away after you wake up. But sooner or later, it will appear to you. And, you must tell me right away when you feel anything different or magical. You will need my guide to control and optimize your special power..."

"Can I be like you? Read other people’s minds? Or...." Allynna hesitated to finish her sentence. She remembers Leon teleported from the dock by the lake to the castle’s second floor on the night of her birthday. After looking into his eyes, she remembered Leon could hear her thoughts, so she just said, "Can I teleport like you too?"

Leon didn’t answer her right away, but he studied Allynna’s face for a while before he said... "Well, I can’t be sure of that for now. You see, everyone has different abilities.
