Chapter 54: The Emperor Visit

Leon made sure Allynna’s bedroom shield was safe. No one can enter this room except him. And no one can hear what’s going on in this room, only him.

Not long after... he can hear from a distance his father has arrived at his castle. Before leaving Allynna’s bedroom, he glanced at her once more, then he magically disappeared from the room.

Without anyone noticing his presence, Leon was already standing near the main entrance. He’s standing in the middle. Behind him, the servants are lining up on each side of the gate to welcome his father.

Even though Leon’s relationship with his father is not harmonious, he still respects him, especially when they appear together in public. After all, his father was the Emperor. Without wasting time, Geoffrey disappears from his spot to prepare their lunch. He also didn’t want the Emperor to be in this castle for so long. He doesn’t want to see the Emperor and Crown Prince clash because it is excruciating to witness. This grudge between them started when the crown prince turned 10 years old. Actually, he wanted them to be at peace, but whatever he could do? He was just a butler. Even the former Emperor couldn’t get the Crown Prince to forgive his father.

After instructing Geoffrey, Leon turned his gaze again to the car. He saw several men in black suits with upright posture, standing in several spots. They looked too alert to their surroundings when in a highly secure place, as his castle. This is making Leon cynically chuckle.

Not long after, Leon saw his father get out of the car. He looks neat in a black suit that fits his tall and athletic posture. His short gray hair was neatly combed. He looked like had just finished an important meeting at the palace.

Leon walked up to his father and greeted him respectfully, "Your Majesty...." He said and slightly bowed to him.

"My son... relax, we are not in the palace, call me Papa...." Aolis Sylgella Bells, the Emperor, smiles while gently tapping his son’s shoulder.

Leon didn’t answer but led his father in and went straight to the living room in the middle area of the castle. He didn’t let his father approach the tower where Allynna stayed. He knows his father has the ability...maybe he can see her or feel her presence...

"Your Majesty, it took me by surprise when I found out you wanted to come. You’re the busiest person in this empire but come to my humble place? What happened?" Leon asks when he sees his father sitting in front of him. "And why do you bring so many people? Do you intend to attack me or capture me?" An irritating smile appears on his face.

The Emperor chuckled as his son still stubbornly didn’t call him as he asked. His son only wants to call him ’Papa’ when his royal wife is around. But if it was just the two of them, he would still call him with his title.

"My Dear Son, Papa thought you were sick to the point where you couldn’t go to the palace to meet us... that’s why papa came here to see you." Aolis was worried about his son getting sick. This would be the first time he refuses to visit the palace, even after he asked him to come several times. He continued... "But apparently, I was too worried. Looking at you healthy and fit like this... makes me grateful, My Son."

But he never directly received any reports from his son. Leon only reports to his Grandfather or to the military chief. Then, his father or the generals will tell him what Leon said to them.

Leon knows for sure that someone, whether it’s Grandfather or the Generals, will pass on his report to his father. This practice has annoyed the Emperor, but the Emperor’s love for Leon prevents him from taking any counteraction.

"Can you not interfere with my division? We are independent. You know that, right?" He said while gesturing to Geoffrey asked him to hurry their lunch. Again Geoffrey vanished in his place to the dining room.

After seeing Geoffrey disappear, Leon stares at his father again. He can only frown when his guess is correct. His father’s purpose in visiting him was immediately discovered a few minutes after sitting down. Make him angry.

"My son... Papa is old enough to understand what your division task is. But still, you should tell me beforehand what you’re gonna do since I’m still the Emperor of this Empire...." Aolis’s voice sounded serious.
