Chapter 40: She Was Shocked
Chapter 40: She Was Shocked
Their car stopped right before the main entrance and Allynna saw workers lined up neatly near the entrance to greet them. She was surprised to see Geoffrey, Lara, and several servants who had followed their group from Sarlun Island already lined up there.
"How could they have already arrived?" She whispers, she seems to be asking herself.
"There’s a short way to come here," Leon replied.
"Huh! So we take a long way?" She saw him. He nods and smiles at her. Allynna froze again. And that would be the second time that he smiled at her today. Gosh! He is so handsome and really desirable.
But a moment later, questions appeared on her mind. Why take a detour? Was he doing it on purpose so they could be together alone longer and that he could talk to her?
She wanted to ask him, but brother Leon was already out of the car. Allynna immediately follows him after Geoffrey opens the car door for her. She follows brother Leon from behind and only slightly nods when she passes all the servants.
When she entered the castle, she was speechless at the luxury of the room. Entire walls used panels with high ceilings and in the middle of the room hanging large chandeliers. The entire floor used beautiful marble. In some corners of the walls, she saw paintings and some antique displays that she had never seen before.
Leon headed straight for the second floor. This floor has an open space that functions as a family room. The interior design on this floor is different from the first floor. On this floor, it looks more modern.
When Allynna reached the second floor, her eyes immediately fell on the large glass window that led directly to the castle’s backyard. As far as her eyes could see, she only saw flowers blooming with different shapes and colors, so gorgeous.
Not far from the flower garden, there is a path that leads to the lake. Allynna’s eyes glimmered when she saw the lake, it was mesmerizing. The lake is so huge. And across the lake, she could see an amountain and a path leading to the top of it. She didn’t see any other buildings around the castle. She felt weird...
Are we really in the empire’s capital, Mavaria? Shouldn’t there be a lot of modern tall buildings in this city? She was puzzled.
"Allynna, please sit first. I need to talk to you about something...." Leon said.
Allynna, who is now standing near the window, turns her body and sees him. When she saw him already sitting, she immediately walked to the sofa and sat in front of him.
Leon immediately explained about this castle. The castle is divided into three wings; left, middle, and right areas. They are now on the left-wing part of the castle. And in this wing, there are four floors.
On the first floor is a place to receive close friends or family. On that floor also there is a dining room and his library. Like the mansion on Sarlun island, she is free to go anywhere on the first floor except the kitchen and the servants’ room.
And on the second floor is their private place. Now they are in the vast living room with a huge TV and cozy couch. Near that TV area, there’s a bar and a veranda with flowers.
"This floor just belongs to you and me. No one can enter this floor when we are around. The servant will come clean when we’re not here. And your servant will only come if you call her." He said.
Allynna’s heart fluttered when she heard him say, ’You and Me.’ It feels so sweet in her ear.
"And the 3rd floor, that’s my office. You can go there if you need me. I spend most of my time there...." Allynna nods. He continued, "But... you have to remember. You can’t go to the four floors. This place is a restricted area for anyone in this house, including you." He said while looking into her eyes.
Within a second, Allynna’s curiosity arises when she hears there’s a restricted area in his house. She nods again to tell him that she understands.
"And there’s an empty room over there." He pointed at the white door at the other end of the room. "I purposely didn’t change the room in case you needed it for....something...!?" Leon said it as if he knew there was a request for it.
Allynna is delighted when she hears that. If he asks her, what room does she want to make? Without a second thought, she will say a kitchen. She really wants to express her newfound hobby, cooking.
She wanted to say that, but she’s decided not to. Because a few days stay at Leon’s mansion in Sarlun Island, he forbade her to enter the kitchen. Indeed he would have turned it down if she said she needed a kitchen.
"So, you want a kitchen?" He asks.
"Brother Leon, why bother to ask me if you already know the question and the answer?" She laughed, "You did already know my answer, right?" She paused to observe his face. But he just stared at her without any expression. She continues, "Yes, if you ask me, I will say I want a kitchen. And, I want to know... in Salrun, why you forbid me to enter the kitchen?"
Leon did not answer her. Instead, he got up from his chair and walked towards one of the large doors. "Allynna, come. Let’s have a look at your bedroom." He said without glancing at her.
He opened the door and waited for her at the door.
"Fine if you don’t want to answer." She whispers while following him to her bedroom.
Allynna remembers, a few weeks ago, he texted her asking the color she likes. That time she said to him, she likes earth tone color. Now, she can’t wait to see what her bedroom looks like.
"You can look inside...." He said and made way for her by stepping aside. "If you don’t like the layout of your bedroom. Tell me, so I can ask Geoffrey to change and adjust it...."
Allynna walks past him and enters her bedroom. The moment she saw the room, she was shocked.
