Chapter 334: Grateful

The dull dining room now becomes more lively with various lights and fresh flowers, similar to the decorations in the family room. The long table in the middle of the room looks more beautiful with several types of flowers hanging on the dining table, like clouds in the sky. And on the table, many candles lined the center along with the table. The romantic impression makes the dining room feel more warm and intimate.

Leon and Allynna were the last to appear in the dining room. All close relatives had gathered to chat in the room warmly.

Allynna was surprised when she saw Faith among the guests. She was talking to Xavier, Darren, and Anders. Allynna also sees her healer master talk to her grandpa and Leovaris.

After a short greeting to all of them, Allynna joined sister Eudora, her mother, and Clavelina at the corner, near the huge glass window. While Leon joins his best friends on the other side of the dining room.

As soon as Eudora saw Allynna, she treated her like vulnerable porcelain that breaks easily. Well, not only Eudora but her mother and mother-in-law too. At first, Allynna felt happy with their courteous attention. Still, after a while, she began to feel uncomfortable being treated like that.

"How was your sleep? You feel fresh now?" Clavelina pulled Allynna to her side.

"Your Majesty, yes...." Allynna smiles shyly. Earlier, she just wanted to relax on the second floor with Leon, but instead, she fell asleep on the sofa after finishing the snacks Ralph gave her. She can’t resist a sweet snack.

And what annoys her is that Leon deliberated to let her sleep. Even though other guests have arrived.

Now, the whole family had to postpone dinner to wait for her to wake up. It’s such a shame. However, she couldn’t protest because Leovaris’ made them all stay.

"Oh, that’s great." Clavelina felt relieved. She was worried her daughter-in-law would be exhausted after coming to this place.

"Are you hungry now? Shall we start our dinner?" Eudora asks.

Allynna could only slightly nod as she looked at her mother standing beside her. Her mother looked worried, looking at her.

"I’m fine, mother, I’m just a little tired, so I fell asleep upstairs ..." Allynna whispered to her mother, trying to calm her.

"I heard that from your mother-in-law. Hurry, go sit near your husband so the others can start having dinner."

Soon all the invited guests were sitting in their seats.

Allynna sat between Leon and her mother. While in front of her sat her grandfather and father. At the end of the table, Leovaris, with his youthful face like a man in his early thirties, couldn’t stop smiling broadly, glancing incessantly at his wife, Eudora Snow. She was no younger than him. Everyone who saw this couple would feel jealous of them.

"My family and friends... tonight I invite all of you here to celebrate the return of my wife, Eudora Snow. She has returned after so many years she was cultivated in a secret place." Leovaris raised his wine glass, followed by everyone except Allynna, who could only raise her juice glass. Everyone knew she was pregnant; sure enough, she could only drink and eat healthy food from now on.

Leovaris continued, "Because I’m in a good mood, I will reward all of you with a present."

Everyone in the room was happy to hear that and started to guess what the present would be given by Leovaris, known to be very generous by his friend.

"Leovaris, don’t tell... you want to give me an Island as you give to Flint?" Aziel Gilwynn shouted in joy.

"Hahaha, of course not! This time I will give you something far more valuable than the island. Something you want...."

Leovaris waved his hand, and a small bottle with a golden liquid appeared in front of everyone at the precise same time.

"This drink will make you look younger than your actual age..." Leovaris continued as he smiled, seeing everyone in the room shocked.

"Brother Leovaris, so this is your secret?" Flint Moon examined the small bottle in his hand. Ever since meeting Leovaris with his natural face, he hasn’t stopped praising how handsome he is. He is also forcing him to share his method of being young again.

"Yes! My dear friend Flint, you should drink that golden tonic. You too, Aziel, you look so old now...." Leovaris felt sorry to see his best friend getting old. That’s why he decided to share his deep secret with them.

Then Leovaris looked at everyone on the dining table again, "For those of you who are still young, you can drink when you are 100 years old."

As the chosen ones, although they won’t age like normal humans, there comes the point where their physical changes will start again if they stop cultivating. Leovaris’s golden tonic can keep them young without having to practice. Because nowadays in this land there is less energy to acquire. Except in Allynna’s mindspace, her power would never run out as long as she was alive.

"And for you, Allynna! You don’t have to drink that..." Leovaris smiles, looking at her. Allynna almost choked from the carrot juice she drank when she heard Leovaris call her name.

Why? Why can’t she drink the tonic? Allynna felt strange, but then she heard Leovaris’ voice in her mind. She could only nod and continue to finish her juice.

Soon the dinner starts, and everyone talks with each other casually during their meal. However, Eudora Snow ate in silence. She felt grateful because her family accepted her return happily without asking her the reason for leaving them.

She was fortunate that her son Aolis wasn’t even the slightest bit angry with her. Something she was worried about when she decided to come back; her son would hate her, but it didn’t happen.

Silently Eudora Snow sent grateful words to her husband, who raised their son and family even though she wasn’t with him. She promised him to repay all of his sacrifices by never leaving him again in the future.
