Chapter 852: Chapter 590: The Nameplate of the Far East
The sound of teeth clashing in the flower field went "click-clack," causing a toothache just from listening.
The fragrance of flowers and grass filled their noses, seeming bizarre in this desolate land.
"Is it a Magic Potion?"
"Cannibal Flower..." 21 Assist paused, "It’s just a Cannibal Flower, I don’t know, could be a Magic Potion? Do you have a recipe?"
The magical version of the Cannibal Flower had sharp teeth yet was very shy, continuously clashing its teeth at them but would retreat and keep a distance when they approached.
"Curse Calamity, when planting magic potions, various calamity-formed monsters will appear." Qiuyue shook her twin ponytails, "It must be because of the massive planting of Cannibal Flowers that the calamity emerged here."
"Let’s walk ahead and find out."
They were very relaxed, which had a lot to do with their strength. If the "rubber guys" only felt troubled rather than in mortal danger, it meant that the danger level here was pretty average.
Ge nestled at the forefront, smashing several bottles of Magic Potion on himself, some for internal use, some for external use.
Layers of different colored orbs or semi-orbs appeared on his body.
The transparent one was the barrier.
The ice-blue one was the Ice Shield.
The semi-orb was the Knight’s exclusive shock shield, which supposedly allowed the Knight to charge after setting up the shield, though no one actually did that.
Moreover, the three shields rotating around his body on the outermost side were the latest Alchemical Tools.
What more can be said? It’s great to be wealthy.
At least three out of the four people present sighed with envy.
Walking along a rugged path, they continued forward for a while. 21 Assist suddenly muttered to himself in confusion: "What? Where?"
There was a microscope viewer in his live stream.
The other three watched as he walked to the front, reached out to part the swaying weeds, and saw a pile of something similar to vomit.
"How did you see that?" 21 Assist asked in surprise, then turned to his companions, "Did any of you see it?"
Everyone shook their heads in tacit agreement; no one saw it.
The vomit was sticky green and very similar in color to those "rubber guys."
Lightly poking it with a finger, it felt a bit like fermented dough, slowly bouncing back.
"Do I look like a qualified Hunter now?" 21 Assist joked, remaining in high spirits despite the danger.
"Shh, listen to the sounds."
Loud roars echoed, and footsteps rustled closer. The Cannibal Flowers, which had been clashing teeth crazily, quieted down, hiding their teeth in the buds.
Then, they saw a gigantic, peculiar yet somewhat familiar figure.
Resembling a human, with shoulders as high as an elephant, its body was lean but its belly hung loosely like a deflated sack.
Carrion-eater!
The beginner monster from the beta test.
And this one was bigger than any they had seen before, with octopus-like tentacles constantly writhing around its mouth, and its mouth opened to a wide degree.
"Roar!"
As it roared at them, its mouth opened almost 180 degrees, and the wriggling tentacles functioned like feeding hands, constantly grabbing and shoving things into its mouth.
"Get lost!"
"It can talk!" The group was startled.
"Maybe it could talk after reaching a certain level?"
The Undead were very surprised.
"Don’t come closer, and then get lost!" the massive Carrion-eater shouted again.
"It’s quite gentle."
The Undead remained calm; the enemy did not display a health bar. As lawful Undead, they generally wouldn’t attack NPCs without a health bar, unless the other party was truly detestable and made them furious.
"Scram!" The Carrion-eater clawed at the ground, poised to charge at the Undead.
"If you don’t want to die, shut up!" Ge lost his temper, "I heard you were harming people here? Answer us!"
"Ahhh roar!!" The Carrion-eater opened its mouth wide, revealing jagged, shark-like yellow teeth.
"Shall I go first?" Qiuyue tentatively asked, then threw a Fireball.
It landed on the Carrion-eater’s head, making it immediately screech in pain and retreat.
The health bar appeared.
The four Undead raised their hands in unison; they were in a hurry to follow the main storyline.
A Magic Fire Wall appeared in front of them, making the Cannibal Flowers shiver, their teeth clashing, and burning into a large pile of charred remains.
The Gale followed, fanning the flames and wrapping around the Carrion-eater, causing it to wail and roar in pain.
With an absolute advantage in magic output, their opponent could only keep retreating and distancing itself; but the magic wouldn’t relent, pressing closer.
"Alright, you win!" The Carrion-eater shouted, "I’m not fighting anymore. Do whatever you want."
"Why are we here again?"
"You know me, I don’t really read quest descriptions, and this map doesn’t have a quest log."
"Shall we kill him first?"
"I’ve been here the whole time, you can’t kill me." The Carrion-eater protested, "I don’t care whose commission you received... surely it was those green folks’ commission, right?"
"See, it knows everything." 21 Assist said with a smile.
"They commissioned you before?"
"I wouldn’t be this big without their contributions." The Carrion-eater patted its floppy belly.
"Then you deserve to die even more."
The Undead would exhibit their sense of justice at any moment, attacking without any pattern, leaving their enemies with no way out.
The magic attack resumed, and the enraged Carrion-eater lunged at the Undead, ready for a desperate fight.
