Chapter 828: Chapter 578: High Efficiency

Sky Star Magic School.

Gazing beyond the densely packed Flying Dragon square, the recent battle had finally thinned the number of these magical beasts. Since losing the Wizards’ control, these Flying Dragons, originally only a few used for magical research and considered "rare animals," were completely free, and without natural enemies, they bred madly.

Perhaps there was a Flying Dragon particularly suited for reproduction among them.

The Undead automatically formed small teams.

The task before them required several steps. First, silently cross the square, then enter the Magic Castle and avoid the now crazed Wizards within, and finally find the Mystical Mage or Sky Star Mentor.

During this time, they might encounter some Wizard Masters who were not skilled in combat.

Finally, defeat them, seize a new safe point, and establish a new Respawn Point.

The first team consisted of a classic three-person squad. If it was a Knight, Wizard, and Ranger, that would be the standard combination, but here there were only Wizards, Wizards, and Wizards.

And without exception, they were all high attack, low defense, slow-paced "Glass Cannons."

Their magic damage was extremely high; aside from that, all other attributes were equivalent to secondary cripples.

They moved with a palpable sense of tension, though their work wasn’t as complex as imagined; it was merely map exploration. Dai Juying had even provided a detailed hand-drawn map. As long as they walked cautiously and silently, they could definitely reach their destination.

Bending low, approaching the Flying Dragon group.

None of them managed to take down a Flying Dragon; these tough-skinned creatures wouldn’t lower their noble heads even if severely injured. Moreover, the Undead were as fragile as paper mache, so they could only stand at a distance chanting spells and then collecting dragon heads.

Their bags were nearly full.

This time, approaching the healthy Flying Dragon group, the three were so nervous they didn’t dare breathe.

They hid behind a collapsed wall for a full ten minutes because as soon as they arrived, that Flying Dragon had its tail blocking their path, and none of the three were agile enough to jump over a swinging dragon tail without using magic.

"You can’t stay still even when sleeping." one of them complained.

Finally, as they were losing patience and about to rush out for a dragon-slaying battle, the dragon’s tail moved away. They breathed a sigh of relief and quickly sprang into action.

They passed through the sunbathing Flying Dragon group without incident and arrived at the courtyard of the Magic Castle.

A Magic Knight, resting his hands on a greatsword, stood immobile, guarding the castle entrance.

He was about as tall and sturdy as Lind, clad in full Magic Armor, like he’d encased himself in an iron barrel.

The upper part of his semi-circular chest armor bore a lion’s head pattern, and the red mane cape extending from his shoulders was like a fierce lion, while the spikes on his joints became the lion’s sharp claws.

His lower body was covered in iron plates, from pants to boots.

This was an absolutely clumsy Full Armor Knight.

The greatsword in his hand, flickering with his breath, seemed insignificant.

The Glass Cannons didn’t need to care about the enemy’s strength — the enemy could always kill them in one hit. What they needed to care about was how thick the enemy’s armor was, and if they could kill the enemy with one hit.

A fight to the death, zero margin for error.

But this was the joy of stats.

[Midnight Knight, lv46]

[Life Points: 36000/36000]

"An Elite Monster."

"No idea about his Magic Resistance."

"What should we do?"

"I’ll go check it out first."

Ultimately, one Undead stepped forward to engage, while the other two prepared Magic Potions to unleash their kills.

The Undead stepped forward, shielding himself with several spells. Security was built step by step like this. The Midnight Knight suddenly moved, like a hunting dog, shouldering his Magic Greatsword, and as he leaned forward, a visible gust burst forth.

He successfully lunged at the Undead, swinging his greatsword.

One hit kill.

"Damn!"

"Attack!"

The other two cursed quietly. As they used magic to lock onto the Midnight Knight, he also spotted them. Probably thinking they were weak after the first lunge, the Midnight Knight began to approach them, step by step, despite his heavy steps.

This gave the two some time.

Magic was formed!

Whoosh, a stream of flames was released; close-range attacks couldn’t touch the Midnight Knight, but the Undead beside him held a rapidly spinning wind sphere in his palm.

Letting go, the wind sphere collided with the flame stream, instantly transforming into a fast-spinning flame tornado rushing towards the Midnight Knight.

Fragile like paper under the Midnight Knight’s attack, the Undeads declared the battle over as the magic successfully struck their opponent.

Life Points rapidly evaporated.

The Midnight Knight sensed things were awry and quickened his pace, but the powerful flame tornado completely trapped him, immobilizing him, forcing him to struggle and gradually lose strength until he raised his hand feebly, wailing, and finally kneeling.

The flames extinguished, the storm dispersed.

The two quickly drank potions to replenish their energy, watching their blue bars return to a healthy state, and breathed a sigh of relief.

"What a pity." Seeing the Midnight Knight’s burnt black Armor, the Undead couldn’t help but say.
